6 seater must be easier than the 3. I only have the one rear bearing to replace and I can't get that driveshaft out. Guessing I'll have to unbolt the front diff
I know this is a oldie but I’m having noise and vibration from my rear hanger bearing I believe. The dealership is stating my front drive shaft is bent. I don’t bang on it hard enough for me to believe this. I have 28” tires 2” lift. I haven’t got to go in and talk in person yet to see if they put a caliper on to tell if it’s bent. The noise leading up to me inspecting this is a clunk at low speed on off throttle. Bumps at speed and especially turns at low speed on hard pack. It has been narrowed down to the same hanger bearing you are replacing by me. My question what were your symptoms and noises? Have you bent a drive shaft?
Nope never bend one yet. I’ve had the front driveshaft slip which is a terrible noise under a real bind but it is designed to do that. 2 “ lift and 27’s. Driven like it’s stolen. As far as the hanger bearing the noise I heard is very hard to explain but it was more pronounced on deceleration . Was almost like a growling sound. Could not hear it when accelerating hard. Could hear it sometimes while driving slow at a steady rpm. My second bearing failure there was no noise at all. It just got super hot and a bunch of smoke came up from under the back seat. I thought something was on fire.
Nice job! I like the how you Manipulate that drive shaft!
thank you. it was a learning curve for sure
Cool stuff brother! You have a new subscriber. Thanks!
