The problem with Television, and streaming services is that your favorite shows won't always be there for you to watch. Especially shows that aren't 'The Simpsons', 'Family Guy', 'Spongebob', 'Teen Titans Go', or 'The Evening News' So unless your favorite show got A physical release, you're SOL.
personally, i do try to support tv shows i can on streaming in any way that i can, but i absolutely support piracy if its for a show that is difficult to access or if it got written off or something. why not put all these shows online for free on youtube or something? wouldn't it make it's money back that way? i myself like to watch old late night shows like conan and letterman, but a lot of those old episodes are lost to time with no real convenient way to watch it all, especially letterman. legally, his team can't put up full episodes on youtube to my knowledge. when fans try, they get hit with strikes from CBS or NBC. why? if you aren't gonna make it easily available, why are you preventing me from watching it for free? it's not like you're giving me a convenient option TO pay for it? and that's just a late night show, cartoons take years of effort, just for them to be removed from streaming services and for what? a tax break and a reason not to pay residuals for your employees? give me a break
I’m glad that anime piracy sites are getting taken down tbh besides most of them are just full of weird ass ads so I’m hoping people can watch their favorite shows on streaming sites they have

also lowering the prices of streaming services. A lot of them are like $50 a month. You'd be losing thousands of dollars a year, it is not worth it

Really bad all over now.
Even ota TV is screwed up now
I know, right. All the good stuff is either on cable, or streaming. OTA TV is A shell of what it once was.
both of those as well as my old apartment not allowing us to get cable are the reasons I resort to piracy

I would say the last few years, mainly because of David Zaslav!

You make a good point. For the more obscure shows, they could just put it on TH-cam and make money from the ad revenue.
