Thanks..........I've also seen one chap on here cut a 5mm groove with an angle grinder, and then "snap" it off over a concrete block. Thank again very useful.

Just completed my patio/ sidewalk radius using 16x16x2 pavers i grabbed a Bosch brand cutter (30 bucks) it cut thru those pavers like butter! Thanks again
Where do I get that diamond blade in usa? And would it work on diamond shape retaining wall block's? What's the thickness of the blade and brand & price?
If it can cut through pavers, why some advise not to use this to cut wood even with special discs for wood? they say it will break and the disc can hurt you.
Do to the fibrous nature of wood the blades bind a lot more, and once they do things go flying. Thats why its really not a good idea to cut wood with an angle grinder
I have never felt the need to when using a small grinder. I have had the same diamond blade for 10 years. It probably would be better to use water but It will make it harder to see your cut line when the dust turns to sludge.
I don't get it.. Angle Grinders can cut concrete, metal, tiles.. but can't cut wood? Why does everyone warn against cutting wood if it can cut concrete? Genuinely asking.
It can cut wood, but it is just very dangerous. And there are so many tools out there for cutting wood that the question becomes why risk it with an angle grinder? With a circular saw, jigsaw etc they have a base that the saw blade is always pulling the wood into, so if it binds it just gets pulled towards the tool and the solid metal base. If your cutting with an angle grinder and it binds then that piece of wood is just getting flung right back at you
I bought a supposedly safe high tech "wood cutting blade" for a cut I couldn't figure out how to do any other way. The grinder kicked back right into my crotch zone. No harm done, but nearly had a heart attack. Threw the blade out.
You can get a ‘multi material disc’ which will slice through thin ply or hard plastic sheet, and with some care also CLS stud work, but tbh a saw is better and safer on wood over half an inch thick.
Angle grinders are a “friction” type of saw. It will cut wood but will burn it/ there’s a chance it’ll catch fire. Wood saws are much much slower and have teeth to actually remove material as it cuts

Just remember these are 2 and a half times the speed of a wood saw
do you add water from a garden hose to the area your cutting to keep the dust down and extend the blades life ?

It probably is unsafe to do. I think I've seen it forbidden in the manual, due to risk of electric shock.
0:30 A small correction. “Inox” means stainless steel, meaning it can cut hard stainless. Iron Oxide is rust!!! Carry on…(edited for time stamp).
