Apparently Howie and Chip didn’t agree on a lot, and Howie kept his job but lost all control over personnel and negotiations. There was an overwhelming sentiment that they had screwed up with Andy Reid and they wanted another coach like that. Since andy was long gone the closest they could get was Doug Pederson. Something something carson wentz, and now they have another coach who calls inside zone out of the shotgun all day 🤷♀️
Let's also not forget that Chip Kelly got rid of LeSean McCoy (22nd all-time leader in rushing yards) and DeSean Jackson (39th all-time leader in receiving yards).
You're forgetting that the injury also led to the Eagles trading Bradford, after drafting Wentz, to the Vikings for their 2017 1st round pick. That pick was used to draft Derek Barnett, who recovered the Brady fumble in the Super Bowl.
If the Eagles aren’t the main protagonists, after winning the first SB coming out of that play, AND getting the 2024 roster as it is now, then we must have different definitions of “protagonist”. Also, Howie is an absolute mad man and genius, and I’ll die on that hill.

The trade the Bears did with the 49ers to move up one spot for Trubisky has a pretty interesting ripple effect. The first round pick SF got in the trade was pretty forgettable, but it was the next year day 2 pick that the Niners got (Fred Warner) which galvanized their defense. Also, the Saints came away with Alvin Kamara as a result of the trade too. I should also add that if the Bears didn't pick Trubisky and instead went with the safer Deshaun Watson pick, the QB board that year plays out much differently: some guy named Mahomes would likely be wearing a different jersey.
Nice trick, but you can do this sort of thing with just about any game. What comes to my mind is how Philly deliberately tanked in their final game of the Washington in the 2021 season (thus costing the Giants a trip to the playoffs). The result? Their final record was bad enough that they had the draft capital to trade with guess who--The Miami Dolphins. They were able to trade down from 6 to 12. The Dolphins took WR Jaylen Waddle while the Eagles were able to take Davonta Smith (arguably just as good a receiver as Waddle). In addition, they got an extra first round pick in 2022. That extra first round pick (actually, they had three that year) helped make it possible to trade away a first rounder to the Titans for WR AJ Brown. The net result? Losing that one game against Washington (and screwing over their division rivals, the Giants) made it possible to get the receiving duo of AJ Brown and Davonta Smith. That, in turn, unlocked the QB talent of Jaylen Hurts--a second round selection and someone that no one at the time was sure would make it as a stater. The outcome? The Commanders and the Giants are left in the bottom of the division looking up at the Eagles and probably will stay there for the foreseeable future. I'm sure stuff like this happens all of the time.

You need to go back to 1989 when the cowboys traded Hershel Walker to Minnesota that included 18 players and picks. It’s by far the biggest trade in NFL history and led to the Cowboys winning 3 Super Bowls

Glad you mentioned that bit at the end, the eagles easily could've fired Kelly regardless. You got Bradford and Sanchez as your 1-2? They were ready to clean house.
You honestly need to go one step further and look at the domino effect of the Sam Bradford Nick Foles trade. Just a few of the impacts this has: Rams and Eagles probably don't both try to course correct in 2016 with Goff and Wentz. Chip Kelly isn't fired after 2015 which means no Doug Pedersen in Philly or Chip in San Francisco (which then leads to no Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco). Without Goff, McVay to the Rams probably doesn't happen. Rams and Eagles (and San Francisco) Super Bowl appearances in the last decade all probably don't happen. Sam Bradford and Case Keenum don't end up in Minnesota after Teddy Bridgewater's knee injury. Stafford never gets traded to the Rams for Goff. Its a lot
Sam Bradford's daughter came home from school one day and said "Dad! We just learned about the ocean! It's really deep!". Sam Bradford said "Wow, how deep? Like 20 yards?"
You could also spin it to the Beginning of the NFL is the biggest chain reaction of the NFL if you wanted to because everything plays off everything infinitely and nothing can be a longer chain reaction than the very beginning of that specific thing

This entire video is "pick a number between 1-1,000,000 ... oh wow 103,647 - there's a one in a million chance that number would be picked!". Yeah, any given series of events are extremely unlikely, but this type of thing happens CONSTANTLY.
It’s crazy how you just skipped over winning the Super Bowl. You know the first championship in Eagles history in almost 60 years. That’s actually a key moment….
I had done this dating back to the Trey Lance trade, but I didnt date it back to the Wentz trade! Good work on that dig. I wonder if it goes back any further
Even if Bradford didn't get banged up, the 2015 Eagles would have still found a way to miss the playoffs, and Kelly would have still been shown the guillotine.
First time seeing your content and I loved this video. I Aldo talk about the NFL on my YT and IG pages. Keep up the good work and maybe we can collab on a video in the future. Stay blessed! 🙏
You forgot to add that in 2016 Eagles got his first round back sending Sam Bradford to the Vikings due to Teddy Bridgewater injury just before the season
I’ve got a better one for you…. the 1998 catch by Terrell Owens at the end of the game against the Packers in the 1998 WC game caused KC to win the 2019 SB 21 years later. 1) If Terrell Owens does not make the catch in the 1998 seasons wild card game against GB then Andy Reid can't interviewed (as the Packers are still playing) for Philly so then he does not become HC of the Eagles (as Philly wanted someone quick to hire) so he does not make a name for himself in Philly 2) In the 2011 season, KC has fired Todd Haley 13 games, Romeo Crennel is the interim coach for week 15 match against the Packers...... KC beat the undefeated Packers 19 to 14........ because of this very win the Chiefs made Romeo Crennel the next full head coach dropping the interim tag. 3) In 2012 KC was awful going 2 win and 14 loses. Romeo Crennel was fired and Andy Reid was hired for 2013 (after being not renewed in Philly) 4) If the Packers would have beat the Chiefs in 2011, then the Chiefs would not have gave Romeo Crennel a full contract, then they would have hired a brand new coach...... most of the time new coaches are given 2 to 3 seasons to get their footing which means Andy Reid would have had to find employment somewhere else for 2013 (so not in KC). If Crennel does not beat the undefeated Packers, he gets let go at season end and Reid never gets hired by Chiefs…. Which means no 3 SB wins for KC.
This can be summarized by, everything in a closed system affects everything else. There's some major logic leaps here. The idea that the eagles were definitely winning that first game is in no way highly probable as it's said to be here. Turns out every decision impacts every other one, shocking...
I'm impressed the Eagles got a third and a first with Carson Wentz, especially considering that he disappeared after said trade. In the wrap up, no one "got Carson Wentz", which is weird considering the shake up his drafting and trading meant for the whole scheme
Wentz nonesense? My man was scapegoated. Same with Doug. Wentz signed a $128M deal only for them to draft his backup. Could’ve used an OL or WR. 1-2 seasons of starters on IR, him & Kelce were the only starters left & won an impressive amount of games with bench players.
The Chiefs getting Trent McDuffie was also a huge loss for the 49ers. If not for a couple insane plays by him in the Super Bowl, the Niners very well may have won that game.
Niners really lucked out with Purdy because that Lance trade should’ve set them back years
You got that right
Might be singing a different tune if they end up signing him for the kind of money that's being rumored and he gets injured

This entire video is "pick a number between 1-1,000,000 ... oh wow 103,647 - there's a one in a million chance that number would be picked!". Yeah, any given series of events are extremely unlikely, but this type of thing happens CONSTANTLY.
Nowadays, that hit on Bradford would have gotten 58 a fine lol
It’s crazy how you just skipped over winning the Super Bowl. You know the first championship in Eagles history in almost 60 years. That’s actually a key moment….
I had done this dating back to the Trey Lance trade, but I didnt date it back to the Wentz trade! Good work on that dig. I wonder if it goes back any further
this video is fire. great job id love to see more like this
Thanks! Will do!
Dude had WAY too much time on his hands! 😂
You forgot to add that in 2016 Eagles got his first round back sending Sam Bradford to the Vikings due to Teddy Bridgewater injury just before the season
You can literally almost say this about any play that leads to a loss
And Clay Matthews somehow got another roughing the passer call
I’ve got a better one for you…. the 1998 catch by Terrell Owens at the end of the game against the Packers in the 1998 WC game caused KC to win the 2019 SB 21 years later.
1) If Terrell Owens does not make the catch in the 1998 seasons wild card game against GB then Andy Reid can't interviewed (as the Packers are still playing) for Philly so then he does not become HC of the Eagles (as Philly wanted someone quick to hire) so he does not make a name for himself in Philly
2) In the 2011 season, KC has fired Todd Haley 13 games, Romeo Crennel is the interim coach for week 15 match against the Packers...... KC beat the undefeated Packers 19 to 14........ because of this very win the Chiefs made Romeo Crennel the next full head coach dropping the interim tag.
3) In 2012 KC was awful going 2 win and 14 loses. Romeo Crennel was fired and Andy Reid was hired for 2013 (after being not renewed in Philly)
4) If the Packers would have beat the Chiefs in 2011, then the Chiefs would not have gave Romeo Crennel a full contract, then they would have hired a brand new coach...... most of the time new coaches are given 2 to 3 seasons to get their footing which means Andy Reid would have had to find employment somewhere else for 2013 (so not in KC).
