The Omega and the Tag take the cake for me. The Rolex is okay but the whole "Daytona Revival" these last few years has put me off to that look.
The Mighty Monaco and the speedmaster does it for me both are Special watches with great history
I own the Zodiac watch and I can say this one is an incredibly underrated sports watch. It is gorgeous.
What's left to say. Another great one Armand. Than you again for taking the time to produce quality content.
Another seriously great video comparison! Reminds of why I want the Monaco so much. Thanks!
In my youth, I purchased a couple of Heuer Carrera’s. I always considered them as racing watches.
Another fantastic, all encompassing video Armand. This is a very interesting collection of watches and I enjoyed learning some of the history and details for each. Thank you :)
Love the Zodiac, very interesting. Would rather wear that than the Daytona!
i have an older model of the speedmaster racing, with the red dial. i love it, wouldn't exchange it for the speedy pro, everyone seems to have that watch! also have a heuer monaco on the way this week.
i would also add autodromo in this list, they have a good collection, and even though its mechaquartz, its watches have meaning and story behind them!
Another great review. Favourite one? Thinking about the Omega & Rolex, but all good. Hamilton is interesting.
Not in your video: the Tissot PR 516 GL automatic watch from their Heritage Collection.
I really dont like Divers but I greatly enjoyed your 2 part series on their history. And i am not into cars or racing but the Sinn, as so often reallly makes me wonder if I dont have to shovel some money in the direction of Germany. Right now i lust after the Sinn 103 Ti Ar - Edition DIE ZEIT. And the Heuer Monaco is just an amazing classic. I wouldnt like to buy a TAG though :)
Love the cushion cased Zenith & Hamilton, & the Monaco too. Good video, cheers 👍👍🏁
Well done. Not just a run of the mill review of racing chrono's. A few nice choices I hadn't seen, the Hamilton and the Sinn. So many more to review in this category. Would like to know more about Bell & Ross (F1 sponsorship) Chopard, Richard Mille (F1 sponsorship) even Casio Edifice watches have an F1 history. Lastly, you are going to have to do something on the new 160th Carrera from Heuer. Thank you for knowing your stuff..
I love racing watches, I own a Cal11 (Tag) Heuer Monaco and it's a lovely (albeit overpriced) piece, that Zodiac Grand Rally is really quite tempting, the price is great, it's a bit of a shame it's quartz, but I can understand why they've done it, the mechanical chrono movements about that price range aren't particularly reliable.
Even though it's been mentioned before in your channel, I believe that the Tudor Chrono Blue with its colour palette is an excellent honorable mention, as well as the Oris Chronoris (which I personally find better than Hamilton).
All in all, another excellent video, keep up the good work! 👍
Heuer Monaco steeve mqueen calibre 11 is my next watch am going add it to my Rolex Submariner ceramic, Panerai pam 005, OMEGA SEAMASTER ceramic and 42m blue. I love the Monaco 👍
These TH-cam commercials take up so much time I can’t even enjoy this anymore. I give up!
The Omega Speedmaster with the orange markings does it for me. I recently purchased the TAG Carrera Chronograph Calibre 16 with the blue dial/bezel. I love it but had I another $1500 in my budget, I would have purchase the Omega.
Just to let you know! I own Tag Heuer Monaco cal11 and the movement is a ETA clone, Selita.
Nice video and lovely items, thanks for the presentation
I think I requested this in the comments a while back. Thank you Armand.
I'd only add the Tag Heuer F1 range which is huge
Great vid, however I'm shocked how you missed out Autodromo
Great selection. I have the Monaco Heuer and love it and Speedmaster Professional as I know it’s motor sport heritage. Hamilton inclusion was one I was not aware of and will really look into! Daytona was always going to be on the list - do think it’s over hyped?
+Zaheed Evans: I think that the question of the Daytona is a difficult one. Of course, it is a brilliant watch in terms of holding its value, providing bulletproof reliability and a design which is as classically correct as Gucci Horsebit Loafers. However, for that price, I would rather pick up a Zenith Daytona from the 1980s as it is, for me, a more interesting watch.
Yeah, that Hamilton is surprisingly cool.
Great video once again Armand. Out of curiosity, do you think the Heuer and Omega will have any issues in the future with depreciation? Or on the contrary they're more likely to go up?
The Monaco has terrible depreciation.
The omegas also drop like a stone. But you can get a great deal used. Great watches but number of variations of speed master can seem confused. My favorite though
Ps thanks Armand. Big fan
+Patrick Mainwaring: I think that it's always a gamble when buying a new watch though the Heuer does have a habit of depreciating. The Omega does depreciate but perhaps will not in future as these movements really are starting to be recognised as some of the absolute best on the market - perhaps even better than, dare I say it, Rolex movements.
Thanks. That's what I thought... Although interesting what you say about Omega. I'm planning on a Seamaster next (identical to yours) and then a speedy.... although that Heuer is really beautiful.
I’m easy. I see the Pan-Europ, I upvote 👍
Interesting and informative as usual. The Zodiac looks far too dated for me and the Hamilton looks nothing like a racing piece. A Monaco Is a classic but never been that keen myself. The Omega Speedy is my fave with the Sinn a very close second out of your selections.
However the best racing watch I like is the Hanhart Racemaster GTF at £3600 a little pricey but compared to the Omega or the Rolex a complete bargain with a fantastic heritage to boot!
Seems odd to have overlooked Chopard Mille Miglia... I'm a brand loyal Heuer aficionado, but I appreciated the Omega and Zodiac reviews. Hard to do a review of this type since there are many great racing watch brands.... But to miss Chopard :( Otherwise... thank you, I enjoyed watching.
That Sinn look very good, classic look.
Good review!
What a crazy coincidence. I was in a high-end watch boutique yesterday and tried on the Tag Heuer Monaco. It’s beautiful, but far too large and heavy.
Nevertheless...I’d still wear that sonovagun!
Thanks for bringing up Zodiac - it was under my radar. Still their website price seems 100gbp higher than one mentioned in this video.
I thought you would show the pan europ chrono
You didn't include the Omega Bullhead. That is the greatest race watch by far. Original design hands down.
Man Alive, you are not good for my bank balance. I now want that green Hamilton with the green and black strap. Will you please stop it, I'm trying to convince myself to buy a Rolex Explorer!
Of course.
Great video. Loved the Omega.
2:15 why does 'wearable on a modern wrist' seem to mean turning it into a wall clock. :(
great video, maybe you could do one on micro brand racing watches
Love your productions Armand, it has been a joy to see you improve over time in confidence and quality.
I was wondering if you could do a feature on the more robust but functional watches. For example Damasko and Muhle Glashutte among other companies.
While I'm at it, how do you like the recent Central seconds and minute Chrono from Damasko, the DC 80? I think it is a fantastic piece of kit.
+Stephen Meade: Thank you very much for such kind words, I am hoping to see some very major changes over the next few months regarding videos and the channel...
Where the Damasko is concerned, I appreciate Damaskp's work and their watches immensely. I think that the DC80 is a brilliant way to enjoy a thoroughly uncommon complication (except on old Lemanias!).
For me, these new watches just don't click. I would take vintage Hamilton/Heuer, Sinn, Rolex anytime over these. The classic moonwatch is better, because of the less cluttered dial. A racing watch should have simpler display. Hamilton Intra-Matic 68 is a nice racing watch and remake of a classic model.
How lucky am I? I have two, MONACO & DAYTONA.
Montblanc timewalker best looking vintage watch
Great vid
Omega and Tag for me
You missed the Tudor BB chrono
How can you beat the Daytona? If price wasn’t an issue, I don’t see who wouldn’t prefer it for its accuracy, aesthetics, style, balance, and heritage.
It's biggest problem- it's a Rolex. A brand everyone knows, but also terribly boring. The most faked brand on the planet. Accuracy very good, not the best by far. (COSC is no Metas, nor anywhere close to quartz in accuracy.) The rest of your point is personal, so that is fully yours to make. I do think it a pleasant-looking watch. But I'm the guy who would show up at a Watch Meet with a Casio Calculator watch on a bespoke leather band. I don't seek "normal". I don't like people knowing the brand I'm wearing (if it's a show-piece), let alone the model. I'd rather wear my watch for me. Out of all these, I'll choose the Monaco. It could not be any more different from the others, and I like that. But that's why we have choices, isn't it? Cheers, Michael!

Speedmaster
I must say I am surprised Breitling did not make the list. Perhaps it is too close in price to the Omega and Rolex?
Nothing from Tudor.
+Steve Tackett: Yes, that's quite true. The real reason why is that I feel that the Tudor Heritage Chrono has been spoken about on this channel a great deal and the Black Bay Chrono is not really a racing watch...or a dive watch for that matter...
Armand The Watch Guy very true, but the Tudor Prince Chrono is quite similar to the Daytona at a much better price.
The only pointless watch was the Zodic. Other than all are legends.
