I am a teacher and place education in a highly prioritized category of life. HOWEVER, you need to do what works for you. You need to follow YOUR path. I know from experience that waiting until you are ready for post-secondary is soooo important. You will get so much more out of it if you are ready for it. So, pat yourself on the back for doing what works for you.
I wish this was the messaging told more to high school kids: to get into post-secondary when you are ready! The pressure to decide on a school and an end all be all program in the final years of high school is so counterproductive. I went through multiple programs and wish there was more reassurance about not knowing what to do, the acceptance of different routes, etc. back when I was a lost teenager.
@@DDRandDSLover Same, I wasted so much money and got depressed, and then became inactive in life for a few years thinking about how I dropped out and the money I wasted. Guilt overwhelmed me. I know a few others like this

Girl, why not just create your Doodle Empire? 😅 I think the “Doodle Planner” is a perfect name for a journal that would appeal to everyone and maybe just build off of that? Same with “Little Doodles”. It’s a cute, neutral name!

When I was little (90’s) we had colorable stickers. If anyone can bring them back it’s you Amanda! I know they still exist but your doodles as colorable stickers….yes!
I would LOVE to see your products in Indigo as well!! That would make it much easier to access without worrying about paying shipping and delivery costs, and it would be so cool to see the doodle planners lined up in the paper section! Manifesting this to happen in the future!!!
Sticker idea: Mini calendars that are compatible with the dot grid spacing in your notebooks? That way we can all save time when it comes to doing future logs or habit trackers?

Stickers: personally I buy stickers from small shops online as my spreads are sticker based and I LOVE small cute ones to record events throughout the day ❤️

I dropped out of uni after 5 months, worked for 4 years, and now am studying to retake my entrance exams to go back to uni on a different degree!
Theres no right order to do life! Dont go to university just cuz you feel like you HAVE to, and dont give up on going if you really want to!

I absolutely adore my doodle planner and appreciate all the hard work that went into it. The paper is fantastic and makes the coloring/painting possible. I’ve been through just about every iteration of planner/journal over the last 20 years, and the Doodle Planner is best fit for me.

ive been watching ur yt channel for almost 4 years now, when one of my friends gifted me a bullet journal for my birthday and I think the first video I watched was the october moon theme. im so glad I watch you and you really make my day so much better. sometimes when im having a bad day I just watch ur vlogs and it makes me feel so much better. even though I kind of quit bullet journaling this year and moved to notion I still watch ur monthly set ups because they make me feel so good. like why go to therapy when you got amanda talking on yt for free? haha thank you so much btw ilyy

Thank you so much for giving us a look into your personal life! When it comes to education, that traditional path is no longer the only way to find success - whatever that looks like for you. It took me a long time to figure out what my passion is and what I truly wanted to study, but the pressure of society and parents and even friends and teachers made me feel that I HAD to go to college right after high school (it didn't turn out well). Now 10 years later, I am back in school and finally learning something that I am so passionate about: psychology and mental health. It's been a long and challenging journey and it felt like I took all the detours I possibly could have taken, but one of the things I would like to work on this year is to truly own my story and feel proud of all that I have overcome. Thank you for sharing your journey, even the things that you might think of as "failures." There are many young people who need to hear that they have options and that just because they don't succeed the first time, it's not the end of the world - there are other paths waiting!
Also, I think it would be cute to incorporate the word "doodle" in the name somehow. Can't wait to see what's in store for this new year!
Interesting that you went back to school 10 years after high school. It took me about 10 years to get my college degree and I went to college right after high school.

hmmm for a new brand name I think something with "doodle" in it would be really on brand.. maybe like doodles and dots (bc yknow.. dotted notebooks?) I don't know but I would actually like to see other notebook types... blank, and lined. unfortunately dotted pages just arent my forte... I'm excited to see what'scoming for you. more great things for sure :)

Another idea drawn from the shop name Indigo - how about your favourite color or shade for a brnad name? Or Stellar Doodle Planner taking in the love for astronomy or constellations . Constellations is a good brand name too. Hope you get inspiration out of these ideas☺️☺️

i mean, in my humble opinion the new name has to have doodle on it... the lil doodle, the doodle factory, doodlin', plan n' doodle, doodleland, the one doodle, the doodle shop, and also, the pets from twitch lives, like the frog, could be the shop's pet or have products with them like notebook covers, montlhy themes, erasers, lol lol lol

My favorite spreads are the plant ones and the enchanted whimsical spreads. It would be so cool to see some stickers in like a fairy garden or forest creatures. Brand name idea: Doodle Diaries (but this could be confusing because you sell other things too and don't want it too niche).
Thought exercises to think of the new shop name:
One of the key things you need to communicate in this rebrand is the sheer quality and crafted nature of your products. These aren't cheap notebooks or lazily printed designs! Own your hard work!
Think of the ethos of the company and what values personally motivate you, as well as the spirit of Bullet Journalling and crafting in general.
Think key words like: creative, crafted, personal, tailored. If you had to sum up your products and your style/ work in a few words what would you say?

I think a really beautiful name would be "lullaby". I don't know why, it was the first thing that came to my mind: your voice in the videos is always so melodic and calming, and I know you love playing the ukulele and the piano!
I feel like ‘Drop Shadows’ could be a suggestion for a name.

Well, I can honestly say that I didn't find your TH-cam channel UNTIL I discovered your acrylograph pens on Archer and Olive! I am a pen and stationery fanatic! Next to mixed media crafts and jewelry-making, pens, journals, planners, and pretty papers are my thing! I fell in love with the online presentation...I just couldn't help myself! I have your pen collection in my cart right now! I missed out on your planners(they look incredible!)but now that I have found you, I am keeping my eyes open for new items and restocks!

LilDoodles is for real very catchy and I feel like it is really cute and fits well for a stationary brand but also has room to grow as it could go well with a clothes brand too if you ever want to design some t-shirts or whatever... It is also something that brings back to your YT but not enough that would be a restriction for an eventual Indigo public :)

Love this Q&A! Please do a video on your makeup/ clothing style. Also sticker ideas: cherry blossoms, kawaii animals, personal affirmations, stickers that can be written on (habit trackers, mini calendars... I have seen stamps of this but stickers are prettier!)

This Q&A was lovely to hear. It made me appreciate you so much more in being able to connect on having the similar experience with school. I dropped out twice as well from university and having similar experiences with the disapproval and concern from my asian parents to just feeling lost as to why I was even there when I went. I legit did not last two weeks either before dropping out. It's made me question my path and what I wanted as a career. Did I need this education that most people say you do? Or at least what seems to be articulated seeing my friends and old classmates move on to masters and PHDs. I think it was really important to share on WHY we're going to go to university/college rather than where/which one we go/get in to. It's taken me now 8 years to find out that why, I've gained a lot of life experiences and I'm happy to know why I'm going to the college that I am going to now. I needed to feel ready and I truly think I am now :)
Also can I just say how excited I am for your direction with your shop/company. I think it's great why you're rebranding and cannot wait to see your plans for it come to life
