I have a 2020. And I'm on SSDI, about to be homeless bc in the state I live in and can't afford to get out of they want 2k a month on a studio in the ghetto. I can't even come up with what they want to move in. So it's gonna be me in my equinox. Had I known this was gonna happen. I'd have bought an RV
Sometimes I wonder how many people on YT are really living out of their vehicle. Then I see these videos that make me wanna join the cause. I want some time away and to save more for retirement so I can travel when it’s time and have no worries.
Well we all know that there are those who love the clickbait but don’t let that be the reason you do or don’t join the lifestyle. Your ‘why’ has to be strong because it is not easy. I’ve been in the lifestyle for almost 3 years now (This is an older video) and I love the freedom that I have. One of my reasons for my journey is to retire to Africa and the lifestyle helps me save.
@@JrEv3rd yes thank you. I had been thinking the same. To do this and retire to move some place. I already made up my mind and am preparing to do this also. Today I am doing a test of the set up for my small suv. It’s an equinox I’m ready for this journey.

Love your setup looks awesome and clean i have my setup almost as same but my mountain bike sleeps with me 😂 i just dont have bins inside i have roof rack box for clothes, cooking and everything else. I like how clean setup is where did you get those window covers if you don't mind me asking
Really nice setup. I like how clean, neat and organized you keep everything. I've only ever camped in a car but I remember that was one of the hardest things to do. Greetings Ray, thanks for your comments. To answer your question, I would say yes. My bed is actually 75in (6.25 feet). Not too sure about moving around in side, I’m only 5’6.
Looks like you built the sleeping platform to rest on top of the folded down seats. That fan looks interesting. Hope you have some good places to sleep.
Summers are cool. Are you asking how I deal with the heat? During the day. I'm really not in the car, but at night, I have two fans blowing on me. I live in Pa.
I wanted to still be able to ride passengers if needed, I didn’t remove the back seat. I built the bed platform to lay over top of the seat. The bed platform is removable. That’s for the question.
Hubby just bought me a 2022 equinox and I just may end up living in it. We have a nice house but he took out a lot of debt for his business and now he’s gone bankrupt and they want the money back. Our $200,000 house that we still owe $135k on is worth $400k. So they can’t touch my half, but they can take all of his half . His credit is ruined so we can’t even buy another house. My credit is great but i just lost my job. So I can’t show income. It’s bad . If we divorce, he will be fine. He has a $120,000 a year truck driving job. He’s gonna be sleeping in his truck . I will have about $120,000 and the equinox . I’d rather live in my car than pay $1500 a month rent.

You can’t do that here in Texas, you will cook yourself alive, it gets up to 109 degrees

It's my lifestyle! My plans is to upgrade to a Class B RV, but I don't care to live in a house or apartment any time in the near future.
