Goodness, this entire video could have been called "Tiny Solo Board/Card Games"! So many pocket-sized games! Looking forward to your video where you'll cover some of the bigger soloable games! ☺ (I appreciate you highlighting a lot of games I had never heard of!)
Awesome List!! I've been having a lot of fun with Cursed, For Northwood, and Wreckland Run. Definitely going to need to try out some of these other titles.
If this is a topic you’d ever be interested in covering, I’d really love to see a “Top print and play games” or “Top solo PnP games” list from you, Tia.
Pocket Master Builder was an impulse buy one day at my FLGS and I am super happy I got it! It is super tough to win but the gameplay is so much fun and the size of it makes is travel-able and easy to play on a hotel table. Won’t fit on a plane table tray but hardly anything does. Also, thank you for your previous review/play through of Bolets, I’ll have to get that one back out again soon!
Hey Tia, love your lists as they always highlight games that dont often get talked about. Ive been wanting to try Bolets since i saw your playthrough, glad to see it still ranks high!
Shades of Ink is fantastic, thank you for the solo playthrough or I would have overlooked it. I recently got into a solo RPG called Be Like A Crow, because of Shades of Ink. You get prompts in a book based on a deck of regular playing cards. If you liked Shades of Ink you may like that.
I picked up Dust Runner earlier this year and it is a great solo game and I am waiting for my copy of Cursed!? to show up soon. Great list I’m going to check out some of those games.
I picked up Pocket Master Builder based on this and my partner and I played last night. Super fun! What a big game packed into a small box. Thanks for all you do 😄
awesome video, TT Tokki! I had a feeling that Bolets would be on your list, but I was stumped re: your #1 pick until you said Shades of Ink. I should have known, lol! That game seems so amazingly thematic :D I really need to print and laminate Bolets now, haha.
Speaking of the Solo Heroes series, have you played Proving Grounds and if so, what were your thoughts? I’ve had my eye on it, but I’ve heard/read mixed things.

Very cute and well done video. Only issue I have stumbled across is in Australia these games aren't very accessible to buy... You sold me on a few of them...
Ohhhh I just finished. I think I have the PnP files for Shades of Ink from the ButtonShy patroen. I remember it looked really interesting. I must try it! I adore Bolets and also the co-winner of the 9 card comp, City of Fury. As a kid i spent a lot of time in arcades so City of Fury speaks to me. Though not directly referencing a video game I thought it funny that Bolets has a very retro video game feel to it too. Until I PnPed those games I honestly thought 9 card games and the comp on BGG was more a bit of fun for designers to test themselves. I had no idea the amount of game designers can get out of 9 cards!
"Space Hulk: Death Angel" is arguably my favorite small box game when playing solo. "Ragemore" I still love. I heard it from you so, thanks for that 😊 I am currently really enjoying "After the Virus" lately... the game looks kind of ugly but it is fast, simple and fun. I had a retheme printed which is easier on the eyes, yeap, I had to go that far 😅 Cheers
I had Space Hulk Death Angel for years, it's such a shame FFG lost the license due to non productivity according to GW. I sold it last week, otherwise I would have been more than happy to pass it onto you Tia. Sometimes synchronicity just isn't.
@@martysmovies7892 I feel you about "After the Virus" but there are a couple of rethemes that are well worth the time. The game is short and simple enough that is worth a try :)

Glad I don’t eat at the same restaurants you frequent. “Yeah I’ll take the mushroom soup cake”. 🤮 Looking forward to that upcoming video on Pocket Master Builder. Wouldn’t mind seeing one on “Cursed”? And did you ever pursue Legacy of Yu? Fun, great theme. Engaging. And no. I still haven’t beaten the 🤬 game. Lol. Stay safe!

I have! It wasn't my favorite, tbh, especially directly compared to similar dice mechanics in Klenko's other games like Flatline. :x
Bolets looks rad. Sent off a PDF to my local print shop earlier today.
