Everything turned out so cute! Also-- what a coincidence! Maurice Sendak lived in my hometown in Connecticut for many years (starting in the early 70's I think). My parents read that same "Nutshell library" of little books to me when I was little, and I still have it to this day :) I hope stories like his bring as much joy to your little guy as they did to me when I was young!

Thank you so much for telling me about Maurice Sendak I love all his books. It’s amazing that he used to live in your hometown 🌼 I truly hope they’ll bring him as much joy as they brought you & me 💌

Every night after dinner I used to put my babies cloth diapers through a rinse cycle. And then I’d fill the washer with hot water again and Biz. They soaked all night.
First thing in the morning I’d rinse cycle them again and then wash them with detergent and bleach. Two rinses. I obsessively folded them when they were dry, usually during baby’s morning nap.
Thirty years later, The Drummer is using those cotton snow white fabulously lint free soft diapers in his gig bag to clean and shine his drum hardware!! No one can believe how white and clean they are and that I’d kept them all those years. (I’m the grandma with her original 70s jeans that the grandkids fight over now. 😂)
I LOVE the things you’re collecting for baby!!!!

We use old fashioned terry nappy squares, pins, and waterproof pants with washable cloth wipes. Works like a charm!
I’d suggest double checking the fit inside a baby car seat with cloth nappies on, especially with a newborn. The cloth nappies you have look thin enough not to cause an issue, but some cloth nappies can add a lot of bulk which affects how well the seat’s harness fits the baby.
Keep in mind that vintage items may have unsafe levels of lead. Some cribs are also dangerous.
I’ll be taking our almost-7-month-old son out in our 1975 Silver Cross pram any day now after the rain stops. Do share the stroller you found!
    Congratulations!

you can get the color into the pieces better if you rub it in with a microfiber cloth so it won’t be as streaky!!

This is sooooo cute Emma! Really amazing, i think yellow is such a good colour for a nursery, it's warm and bright and just really great for a child. Also i see a picture of Krtek ! I don't even know what yall call it in Germany but the Mole you know, I'm Czech so the animation was naturally my childhood as well. Also the small hanger idea is also super cute. And the vintage baby bed is such a lovely piece too, love that it has such a history ! I'm so excited for you and I hope the best for you and the baby and wishing you good health. 💛

Em,don't get cloth nappies, don't use cream,it just feeds the nappy rash, use cornstarch powder, it will dry their bottoms better.i did the cloth nappies, not good.who said you couldn't have a separate room for your baby?,I did,my sister,my mother, people we know.just have a baby monitor, I had one, alot of people do.get treasures, yes they are expensive, but think of your babies bottom,it's crawl
