This should actually be the final boss. The antagonists teaming up. Both Bowser and Mario have a "dreamy" partner. It's really suitable for a final battle.
Yeah, but if the final boss went like this then there would have been no proper build up if they just decided to work together after that one cutscene. Plus, Bowser betraying antasma was to show character development.

I like how Bowser acknowledges that when Peach isn't safe in her custom better than her own room at her castle room at his castle... she's safer with Mario, after all she often gets kidnapped in her own place! 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, Dream Team really has the best bosses on average in this series out of all the games aint it? Like, if we forget Smoldergeist, even the early bosses were generally already interesting, so many creative attacks, good music.
This fight is extremely underrated, and in some way it kind of reminds me of dark bowser, because they both serve as a dark mirror for the game's niche (or atleast the niche's battle system)
Reminds me of PiT when it took me over 90 minutes to beat Sunnycide because I refused to use special moves or actually perfecting my moves. But I do like when Mario & Luigi reach that boss that makes clear you arent in the tutorial anymore.

Watching this makes it seem like the boss will take forever to beat but I learned it's much faster to just jump on bowser it takes way less time to beat him also if there's an antasma bat right in front of bowser jump on it and all the luiginiods will land on bowser landing twice more damage than the luiginary ball would alone

this boss is so hard for me i cant even dodge the attack where bowser punches me and i keep swinging my hammer early and late and the attack where he chases me as a spike ball i can get pass the fire trials but the last moment where he jumps at me it takes so much damage i die alot in this battle still cant today
