i get really nostalgic when i see these videos of jimmy and the band talking about him, although I never met him personally i really love him and I think he was a great person, as well as musical genius. he was SUCH a good drummer. i think it's a big loss not only for his family and friends, and for the fans, but for the world too, i cant help thinking that we will never hear any songs he might have made if he were still alive. I love you Jimmy, rest in peace :) A7X RULES!!!!!
'Syn:Jimmy our friend and brother that recently passed away... Poor Syn , he can't speak slowly about jimmy 's death because he was extremely signed about his best friend death... :(
I think we all should pay attention to the fact they carried on with recording the album and touring despite Jimmy being gone. When my best friend died I could barely function. Now these guys are STRONG. Respect from England!.
at this concert... they played So Far Away and i turn around and i see just a sea of lighters and tears. strangers with their arms around people they dont know singing along. i look back up at the stage light my zippo and knew that Jimmy would live on foREVer.
+Lena_Rose Beifong I know...every time I listen to So Far Away, I cry my eyes out. But I don't think we should be so sad-Jimmy loves us and is watching over us :)
you can only hear him on "Fiction" and "Save Me", one of the first songs recorded on the album. He wrote 3 songs on the nightmare album and his vocals would have been on "Welcome to the family" as well i'm sure if he didn't pass away before getting a chance to. A Demo of Nightmare exists with his vocals and drums on it, but it wasn't put in the final version. A lot fo songs where dedicated to him though, like "So Far Away" and "Victim"
I know they were all completely devastated when Jimmy passed, but I just see so much pain still in Syn when he does interviews, breaks my heart. Love them all, miss you Jimmy ♥
We dont know these guys personally, but through their music, we have connected with them to a point where we really do know them. Thank you A7X for everything you have done, especially saving my life and lives of countless others. foREVer!
The first concert I went to was the 2011 Carolina Rebellion, but that was with Arin of course. I literally became a fan about a month after Jimmy's death.
A7X was the first concert i saw april of last year, during they're welcome to the family tour, watching videos of their concerts before Jimmy died and seeing them after, there was just such a big difference in their sound and enthusiasm, don't get me wrong they put on a hell of a show and did amazing, but they just aren't the same anymore, I can't see how they would be though, he was amazing, both on the stage and off and all the members of the A7X family miss him and he will live on foREVer
Jimmys voice is on the record because they were doing test runs and demos of random lyrics to go with the beats they had created, and jimmy did a few tracks and the rest of a7x used them later on. and it was after the rev's passing that they dedicated the nightmare album to the rev. So far away was originally dedicated to syns grandfather.
when they tlk bout jimmy.im in tears....jiimy was my fave in theband he was so funny xDllooool he spent 2 days in jail and never had a shower..thts classic him R.I.P JIMMY :'( a7x rockk!!!
of course we were in tears. jimmy was awesome. like al of them are awesome but still we loved the rev. it's lime it one of the dudes from kiss kicked the bucket mad ppl would cry. we cried for jimmy i know i did.
@RoxXMovieMaker Its amazing just how an inspiring person and musician the rev was to touch so many people even after his passing (me including). I didnt start listening to A7X about a year after his death either, and didnt really know about Jimmy untill very recently when I saw live performance from LBC and I saw him singing. I then started to read and watch video tributes and similiar of him. Such and amazing person that it brings a tear to my eyes relizing he isnt around anymore
fuckk i cant get over the passing of jimmy:/ i cant imagine it for his family and band mates, they are brothers mann, its like everytime i see a video with him, i cant help but think he is still alive, like ill be honest, paul gray i wasnt as destroyed as jimmy passing:/ but i still respect paul and all as a musician , but i followed jimmy even before i knew his name, and all the bandmates i also followed even before i knew their stage names and real names, R.I.P. jimmy
In my health class they were talking about how when someone you love dies one of the stages you go through is denial since I was busy drawing jimmys deathbat she called on me to give an example of denial I plain out said "for example I'm still in denial about the rev from avenged sevenfold passing even though I know it happened I still feel like he's here with all of us fans and I know he will live forever." Jimmy will always live mentally in our hearts
Its is very sad what happened to The Rev :*( if only he could have been here today and seen the amazing things that A7X has accomplished. foREVer R.I.P
Anyone know what Zachys shirt "says"? At first I really thought the image on it looked a lot like Paul Gray with his mask on, but as far as I could read it didnt mention his name or anything. It probably is something else entirely but at first I was convienced that was Paul Gray with his mask.
Avenged Sevenfold is the BEST BAND EVER! If they perform in Australia next time,I will be on a tour there.Or you guys can perform in India (Mumbai and Bangalore)!
Had the rev sign my guitar a few months before he died.... and i recently had his signature copied and tattooed on my left shoulder, right next to Dave Mustaines signature.
Well, they wrote it with him. Pretty much right before they went into the studio he passed away. It would've been out either way but now it's just like the "last memory" they/we got from him. His last piece of art he'd been working on.
It's all good man, I was barely pushing 270 when I was in 7th grade. Somehow everyone on my team was able to hit pretty far from a young age, and in high school we could smash it lol I just graduated, am 18 now, and can still push 310, on good days I can go further.
@EnterTheTurmoil say whatever you want about the music. who cares. but jimmy rocked as a drummer. he was also very good with other instruments and wrote guitar and bass parts for some of their songs.
i got a picture with M. Shadows when they came to michigan. coolest guy i ever met. he fuckin loves fans. me and my friends were the only one who recognized him lol
I agree with what Matt says, we do feel like we knew him, when he died it felt like a really close friend had died, I guess that's what happens when you connect with someone or something so much, it was the same with Paul from Slipknot
"Then i Crush a 300yrd Drive and they all shut up" HAHAH matt you are a fucking class act.
2:41 Applies to me wholeheartedly. I burst into tears within 60 seconds of discovering Jimmy had passed.
i feel bad when syn says "jimmy our friend and drummer that recently passed away" :"(
"THATS THE BIGGEST FUCKING DUCK I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!"
Our friend, Jimmy "The Rev' Sullivan
i get really nostalgic when i see these videos of jimmy and the band talking about him, although I never met him personally i really love him and I think he was a great person, as well as musical genius. he was SUCH a good drummer. i think it's a big loss not only for his family and friends, and for the fans, but for the world too, i cant help thinking that we will never hear any songs he might have made if he were still alive.

Johnny inspires me to play bass hes so good but i can say that to the whole band
Respect from England!.
having a fucking blast watching old a7x interviews....love this one.
at this concert... they played So Far Away and i turn around and i see just a sea of lighters and tears. strangers with their arms around people they dont know singing along. i look back up at the stage light my zippo and knew that Jimmy would live on foREVer.
I still get sad thinking about The Rev :(
+Lena_Rose Beifong I know...every time I listen to So Far Away, I cry my eyes out. But I don't think we should be so sad-Jimmy loves us and is watching over us :)
Lena_Rose Beifong :D

Jimmy was hands down one of the best drummers ever! He was funny and will always be remembered! RIP Jimmy
Good To Know.
Anyone else start to cry or tear up?
I freaking love these guys! Saw them for the 1st time in Evansville, IN last night and they were so awesome. :D
I still have regular crying sessions about The Rev.
you can only hear him on "Fiction" and "Save Me", one of the first songs recorded on the album. He wrote 3 songs on the nightmare album and his vocals would have been on "Welcome to the family" as well i'm sure if he didn't pass away before getting a chance to. Shadz sleeves look amazing in this interview. Hell, everything about his arms look amazing.... ;)
They recalled memorable moments in their lives . Jimmy death story was really deep …
I know they were all completely devastated when Jimmy passed, but I just see so much pain still in Syn when he does interviews, breaks my heart. Love them all, miss you Jimmy ♥
i became a fan of A7X 1 year ago ... and i regret not knowing them earlier ... but rev teaches us that no matter what .. true friends will be there !
We love you, Jimmy!
I absolutely love these guys
We dont know these guys personally, but through their music, we have connected with them to a point where we really do know them. Thank you A7X for everything you have done, especially saving my life and lives of countless others. foREVer!
3:05 "Troublesome as it gets sometimes, life still goes on, and it still can be enjoyable. We're still here for them and they're still here for us."❤
saw this band live last year and they sound exactly the same live as they do on records. and they put on a damn good show.
Its so amazing how they are just getting on with things, they arent bitching, complaining or moping. So inspirational. RIP Jimmy
AHHH
I miss you Jimmy. Rest In Peace. The Rev will always be remembered.
when will the proper live show out! i want to watch it! RIP Jimmy.
The first concert I went to was the 2011 Carolina Rebellion, but that was with Arin of course. I literally became a fan about a month after Jimmy's death.
that was incredible!! one of the best interviews short as it was i have ever seen!! I would get a death bat too if i had the balls hahaha but i dont!!
I got a avenged sevenfold tat ! it's on my back with 'R.I.P Rev.' and yea, this is my favorite band, can't wait for more concerts!
Syn's story about Johnny falling asleep was hilarious!
I was lucky enough to! One of the greatest nights of my life!

I still tear up when i think of Rev… He is my inspiration… live foREVer!!! In ur music jimmy((:
i don't suppose anyone knows if there is a full version of that live video?
@RoxXMovieMaker Its amazing just how an inspiring person and musician the rev was to touch so many people even after his passing (me including). Was that concert footage from their performance in Baltimore, MD?
Last november a7x was in Amsterdam and told that pigeon story about the rev! It was hilarious, after that they played So far away, it was so beautiful
Anyone know what Zachys shirt "says"? At first I really thought the image on it looked a lot like Paul Gray with his mask on, but as far as I could read it didnt mention his name or anything. It probably is something else entirely but at first I was convienced that was Paul Gray with his mask.
does anyone know where i can find this concert footage by itself?
Avenged Sevenfold is the BEST BAND EVER! If they perform in Australia next time,I will be on a tour there.Or you guys can perform in India (Mumbai and Bangalore)!
I love you Jimmy!
@DandJShow3117 It really is a person hanging over the stage. They did it for the intro of nightmare when i saw them in concert :)
Had the rev sign my guitar a few months before he died.... and i recently had his signature copied and tattooed on my left shoulder, right next to Dave Mustaines signature.
Is this footage from the Baltimore show at the 1st Mariner Arena January 23rd?
Does anyone know what that concert is from?
Funny interview
What song during rock am ring does jimmy start missing beats and get the mace in his eyes?
i miss u still jimmy
@InsecurePsychotic Of course. Just proves he continues to influence people after his passing
Well, they wrote it with him. Pretty much right before they went into the studio he passed away.

Johnny's laugh :D Haha, he seems so awesome.
@RezendeLuciano The necklaces are parts of The Rev's drum set
@madikan1 thats zacky singing the backup vocals
Oh, i love hearing stories about Jimmy!
It makes me happy! :D
I hope they do continue. I wouldn't mind waiting 5 years for a new album, they could use the break. Especially from the touring I'm sure.
@SPUD934 i know why he likes using a doubble pedal rather than two basses the second ones just for show
I cannot wait til i can get my tattoo for jimmy
Where is the show At the begining
