As a fellow lady who breaks hair ties on a daily basis, I used a steel chopstick which worked wonders!

I usually twist mine into a coiled bun and put two through and I was looking for something that looks just a tad bit fancier since I'm also wanting to have chopsticks in my hair to go to prom and I freaking love the way you did this. Thank you so much!!

My hair has always fallen out with any other method. I wore this one all day and it barely budged! Thank you! :D
I've got thick hair as well. I find that weaving the stick a little more, or poking the chopstick a little closer to the scalp works best :)

My hair is really slippery and not too thick, but this one still worked for my hair. It's pretty secure, I'll have to try different kinds of sticks to see if something works better than the makeup pen I used. Also, since my hair isn't so thick, the bun is smaller which makes it harder to get the stick trough the bun. Definitely gonna use this when my hair starts to annoy me in class. :) Thanks!

@eVeRyTiFuL I think you may just have to give it a few more tries to make it comfortable for you. Sometimes it gets too tight if you twist your hair instead of just loosely twirling around or if you poke too deep the first time going from the bottom.

Hey it works! Thx. This is definitely useful coz i always tend to lose my hairband.
Works with thin hair too.. At least for me. ^^ If the hair glides, try salt water spray.
It worked for me and I have much shorter hair ~ it looks really good thanx :)
I would use two sticks maybe, and make sure you're getting enough hair on top of the stick when you do the flip, this is the key.

For thicker hair it helps a great deal to twist your hair before you put in the bun :)

This worked for me well I had my top part of my hair in a tiny bun the other half did worked. I used a metal cute hairpin(jeweled one), chopstick style
