I like that you are mindful of beginner quilters and show your processes which some people might not be aware of. Just thought I would say that in case someone complains. LOL

Boo crew is cute but I'm not into Halloween enough to make a quilt. BUT I'm trying to do the x-stitch. Love the Beautiful Morning quilt with the green bird song 🎵 border. See you tomorrow!

I like watching your videos. I picked up your free sew alongs and enjoy seeing different fabric choices as I sew along. The Boo Crew, I bought the kit but get nervous when starting. I do best with repeat patterns and I enjoy them. I first started watch you when you broke both arms. You’ve always let your optimism shine through. ❤️

Corn on the cob - yesterday you mentioned that you went and shucked some corn on the cob for lunch. I have to tell you don't shuck it. Put your full ear in the microwave for 4 minutes and it is absolutely the BEST corn on the cob ever and all of the silks come off without any trouble at all. I had seen this done on TH-cam but had never tried until a good friend of mine said that she will never boil corn on the cob again. Anyway - my husband and I tried it and holy cow - delicious. It's so tender and juicy. Give it a try! I promise you won't regret it. I love the cauldron on Boo Crew! So dang cute! That quilt really is going to be super cute. I wish I had time to make it.

I appreciate the time you take to explain your process for cutting and fabric choices. When I fold my fabric over (4layers) mine always end up wavy. I always think I’m smoothing it out good but I still get a wave so I end up piecing my borders 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just finally started the boo crew cross stitch, so I have a ghost and part of a' B', so your ahead of me! Thanks for sharing the video on the border cut and sharing your reasoning behind the WHY. I've done borders both ways and there is often a REASON for which method is chosen - cost, fabric availability, fabric print, etc. If I could, I would always have a border without seams. You do what works best for you at the time you are purchasing your supplies and then completing that step. Have a wonderful day! 🌞

Hi Pat! The border came out great & the tips were very helpful. The cat with the lightening tail!! How cute is he??? 💗 I wouldn't have thought to cut 2 1/2" squares from pieced fabrics-but why not? Hmmm I've not worked on my crumb blocks in awhile as I've been trying to get Christmas gifts ready while Randy is gone to the cabin (so he doesn't see them!) They're not for him, but for his kids-his son & daughter & their families.

I make my borders just Iike you do. Though sometimes I don’t worry about them having a seam and just cut them width of fabric and stitch pieces two together. Depends on if I have enough fabric to cut them lengthwise. It is nice to see how others do it and I find it always nice to know I do it “right” by the standards of the “professional”! 😆 Thanks for sharing your process. So helpful!
