This colour is so nice. It shifts from a light grey to a deep black in different angles and light conditions. I like it. At least it is much better than a totally dark black that would mostly be boring. I hope that they keep this colour in their MacBook lineup.

Would not agree that the fingerprints are the same with the midnight color. Checked both colors out instore and the space black had much less fingerprints.
I will always choose the " Silver Macbook pro" love the contract it creates and I dont experience scratches whether on the outside or on port areas. Silver + the black keyboard ❤😊

I am really annoyed that they locked the starlight color to the air. Apple needs to stop doing this and let us just choose the colors we want. If you want to lock starlight to the pro/max models, go for it, but I just really want that color on the pro.

Ive just resprayed my 13mbp to space black and had everyone looking at me on train today. Some one mistook it for the dark 15 macbook air. I felt like had the money to buy one but the touch bar gave the gane away.

I'm glad it's not really black / matte black as people have been suggesting. It makes space grey look almost like silver on your video but space grey is actually pretty dark. Just to check - it's nothing like the iphone space black is it?
I bought this and got he space black, i find it absurd though that these youtubers talk about getting the space black as the number one priority. It shows how ridicules apple fans are to consider a 3k variant bec its offered in a different color. It shouldn't even be a talking point at all let alone "if you want this color you need to go with XYZ"
The base M3 will be fine for you with increased RAM or just get the M2 Air 15" again with increased RAM, that will be more than enough for you. You don't need the M3Pro or Max if you aren't into Video editing
Yup the scenario would be me opening Figma, TradingView, Spotify and some Edge tabs at the same time. Right now I have only one external screen. And I haven't had to edit any videos so far. I'm not sure that's plastic. I recently got the M2 Max and returned it when I saw this is being released, and as far as I remember, that's part of the same aluminum block, just a darker shade of paint. I didn't notice any separation between the keyboard section and the aluminum body.
Got the 16" m3 max a couple of weeks black...honestly I don't understand what all the hype is about ..space black wooo...the black apple logo wooo the braided cable connector gives a hint of the colour - what BS! I guess I'm just too f'n old for all this hooplah...I'll let it rest.

I agree. A very dark grey is much better than a black black. Mainly because black is a common color used in cheap feeling laptops.
