Great video. I needed my gardening fix today. Thanks!! Although not a gardening comment, I just wanna say you did a great job with the edit. Beautiful use of the match cut on the baking soda label! 👌👌
Thank u Sir , Im in SA I learn a lot from yr video, today Ive buy Bicabonate Soda , Im going to do what Ive learn , I remember my late mom use to plant beautiful flowers , and spray them , while she was in the kitchen , says " Ek sal gooi die koek soda op my bloeme , and as a child didnt understand 😂😅😂
Baking soda (sodium bicarnonate) is sodium-based and not a desireable chemical if used regularly in a garden. Potassium bicarbonate works as well, or better, and is a much-more plant-friendly chemical. Yes, not able to buy in a grocery store, but Amazon sells it pretty cheap.
Good stuff, for you livestock folks, you know how cows and sheep, etc. won't eat the big green clumps left in the pasture because they peed there, that's why they are so green, spray with baking soda water , they'll eat it down
I wish the Western world would stop taking everything for granted that's it baking soda is amazing there's thousands of ways to use it not just only in the garden
I only use baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and alcohol for cleaning most things indoors! There's no real need to use anything else for general household cleaning! Anyone with breathing issues should seriously think about what is going into the air around them!
As I was watching your video about baking soda, I was cleaning the soap scum off my glass shower door with baking soda. Works pretty well, just need a little elbow grease lol. Great and educational video again, thanks 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Thank You Very Much For Your Highly Informative And Very Helpful Video, The Best Bit Is The Bite size Chemistry Soil Test . May The Lord Jesus Christ Bless You, AMEN.
* * * Wondering how to get the baking soda out of my soil now. I over did it removing an ant infestation and now, a year later, still can't grow anything in that bed. I figured it would fade away, not realizing it is leaving salt behind. ** ANY IDEA'S Would Be Appreciated
Your other video stated the measurements were 1 liter water, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp soap and 2 tsp of veggie oil. So, is it teaspoons or tablespoons?
I was using some neem oil last year however my fear was that the pollinators would not pollinate the plants. Will neem oil or the baking soda spray affect my butterflies?
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms I sprayed in the evening when most pollinators are asleep and try not to spray the flowers. I used it on the summer squash plant leaves but they still died
Neem and aquatic life do not mix well; avoid using around ponds, lakes, streams, etc. As far as pollinators, it will not harm them when used properly. I suggest using a wetting agent (surfactant), such as Dr. Bronner's organic soap (castile soap), or a more expensive Quillaja Saponaria extract to "bind", or otherwise reduce surface tension, which will prevent the bugs from "treading water." I guess baking soda works similarly to kill pests, but I do not have any experience using it.
Hi, on you previous video of Baking soda you give the same quantities but you say teaspoons on this video the measurement are in tablespoons, which video is correct? Please let me know which measurements are correct.
thanks..... ive got a few garden problems that might benefit from the baking soda. ... oh youve got a really nice work area btw. OH im infested with asian jumping worms i wonder if i should use the baking soda on them. maybe its in the video i havent finished watching yet .
I mixed vinegar soap baking soda and water, powdery mildew disappeared, I had it all over my Okra leaves, every plant had it, becareful how you mix it, there's a reaction.
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms Here's how did it the 2nd time. Half gallon water than add 1/2 cup white vinegar than a tablespoon of organic soap than stir and 2 tables of baking soda.
One dilute liquid feed about 3 weeks after germination when they start getting sets of true leaves is usually enough. Balanced feed, don't just load up on nitrogen.
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms thanks 😊 uumm anyway I can send u picture of garden, I think I had over done the planting. Lol. Give some suggestions please. Love ❤️ Chicago Brother.
Please, practice some patience and politeness. Why the rush? If you don't wanna spend the time, that's up to you. Just move on! You could add a 'please' to your question... Your comment reminds 'me' about the instant gratification attitude, more common nowadays. Especially in spoiled brats, who were never told 'no' and always get their way. 'We' don't need rudeness.
