Amazing review and just what i needed to see. Thanks brother. Im starting to get my retro gaming back up. Lol literally have my ps2/3/4/5 under my tv fir show. Tune to put my 2 and 3 back in use💪🏿
Out of the controllers I've used with this, the PS5 controller is my favorite. If I could recommend any to use, it would be that one. Thanks for checking this out!
I haven't, I have a feeling that it might work though. The only controller that I had issues with was Xbox One or Series X controllers, the button mapping wasnt right
I downloaded the SixAxis program, plugged my BlueRetro into the pc to connect it to the BlueRetro website and it just says "Argh! Couldn't connect to Blueretro". Has this happened to you? So frustrating.
@@MrZeroFaith no, I didn't do anything but hook it right to my PS2. It's plug and play, so you don't have to do that. A section of the book talks about how to do a firmware update, but I didn't do that and haven't had any issues.
Just got mine off amazon for 25 after my ps2 controller finally completely died on me I have a ps3/5 controller im wondering if i can get my extra ps3 controller to pair
if these adapters require 2 to play multiplayer, how can you have the adapter in slot 1 with the power cable connected and still plug in adapter 2 in slot 2?
@@lukesawakening69 I don't think there is enough room to have the power cable connected to the slot 1 adapter if you have another adapter connected to slot 2
I bought one from amazon that was a knockoff and disassembled it, and it said blueretro on the board and had the usb port, which was hidden inside the shell! I didn't use an external power cable becuase the usb was hidden, and it worked with my slim ps2 but not the fat one. I'll try powering it with usb on my fat ps2.
Yeah I just hook mine directly into the front USB slot on my PS2, and have never read any issues. How much was your knock off on Amazon? This was only like $14 or AliExpress. All this stuff comes from China anyway, so I just order directly through them anymore.
@@lukesawakening69 it was 15 on amazon. Not the best product, I ordered a replacement and had the same issues. Another problem it has is it constantly pauses the game while playing ATV offroad fury. pretty annoying, I'll likely return and get the brook wingman instead
I haven't tried that. After the button mapping not being right with an Xbox controller, and I just prefer the Sony controllers any way, so I didn't try the Switch one.
@@mavicprotoe3959 I use my PS4 and PS5 controller with this one for two player games, as I only have one of each, it works very well with both of those.
@@mavicprotoe3959 no it did. The PS4 controller I have is a knock off brand from Amazon, so it doesn't seem to stay paired, my guess is an official one would keep the pairing. My PS5 controller has no issues, unless I use it again on my PS5, it stays paired, it is the one that came with the PS5 itself. The Xbox controller didn't work because of button mapping. If I play single player games I just use the PS5 controller because it pairs quicker and holds the pair. My apologies for any confusion.
Hey bro just I have question that is it works for playstation1 or no??? I don't know you have or no but what I read they said yes,but really I.m not believe them... Thank you
It does say that it works for PS1, but I don't have one to test it out unfortunately. It does have to have a power source, so if using it on a PS1, you'd have to plug it into something to power it, that's the only issue I can think of with it.
But is that really necessary or does it work without that? I need my usb ports for something else and want to live as cable free as possible :D@@lukesawakening69
@@henkowitsch1065 it has to be plugged in there, or you can hook it into a USB brick and plug it into an outlet. I also hooked mine into my Series X and PS5 USBs, those work too.
I didn't try the 360 controller. The button mapping was all over the place with an Xbox One controller, so I didn't even try it. PS3, 4, and 5 all work very well though.
I always worked great but after some time I tried to use my Ps5 controller again for the Ps2 but it just doesn’t connect with it in pairing anymore. Anyone has a solution for that ?
I'm not sure what would cause that. I go back and forth between using my PS5 controller on my PS2 with this, and on my PS5. Other than having to re-pair it every time, I've never had any issues. That's odd.
@@lukesawakening69 It still works with the Ps4 controller so the adapter is still working. I will try it later again with the Ps5 controller maybe I can make it work again somehow. Thanks for the fast response.
@@MsUltraBob no worries, I hope it works for you. My PS5 controller actually pairs up much quicker than my PS4 controller. To me the PS5 controller is the best controller I've ever used, so I definitely prefer to use it. @@darinsims5443 yeah I think it probably would, I never tried that before this video. I like to try and show these things off just how you'd get them, because most ppl will just try it like this, and not even think to update it. I honestly didn't.

@@bruno100carro everything else I've paired, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X and Switch Joy Cons have paired with no issues, I never thought about the PS3 controller being so complicated. The only issue I had with the Xbox controllers was the button mapping. I've never downloaded anything to mine, or done any updates to it, so that's a new one on me. From what I see, the PS3 controller is set up very differently and doesn't offer Bluetooth like those others. I'd have to look in my instruction manual on how to do this, I'm sure it's the steps you said.
