As a 16 yo boy, I saw hm when he was the opening act at a new coffee house in East Lansing called the Fat Black Pussycat. He was kind enough to take this young kid back stage and show me how he played Last Thing on my Mind when he used to de-tune it to an open key.....D maybe. Been doing it every since. Thanks Tom.
I saw him and his crew on a Celebrity cruise earlier this month. It was a private performance, so I didn't get to hear him at all. Had I known this in advance, I certainly wouldn't have purchased tickets, if in fact they were available.
