If any of you don't really know how to sew or don't have any materials or you don't have the time, you can buy a Japanese uniform from any online store like amazon, eBay, etc. And you can buy a beige sweater from your local store or online. My tip to budget cosplay is buy any clothes that is close to the character's design. If you want to make your own, then that's fine. You may have to spend a lot of money for materials
That's why for this tutorial I purchased the sweater (Amazon link the the description) and customized a T-shirt with a sailor collar- that was the most budget friendly option for my personal situation- but everyone is different!
This tutorial is so helpful! It is so much easier than trying to figure it out in my own! One question though: How many yards of the navy blue fabric did you use?
Hi. We just bought the himoka toga from Ali Express..we're having trouble with the scarf/tie & the little blue piece of material with 2 white stripes...help please?
Which part? The collar itself or the little insert piece? For the insert piece I measured the length and width of the opening, then added extra so it would overlap the underside of the shirt and have room to be sewn in place.
Hello! I love your tutorial, sadly I don’t know how to sew and can’t simply just buy online since sizes for plus size don’t really exist, is there anything to do more for the skirt?
Haii nice tutorial!! This is good for a begginer..anyways its almost halloween and i want to cosplay toga..but toga has a skirt so in autumn its cold what should i do ?
I plan on going to JoAnns today. What kind of cotton did you use for the skirt and collar? They have broadcloth, quilt cotton, and other stuff but I’m just not sure which to get. I don’t want it to be too thin but I also don’t want it to be too thick
Are you referring to when I pin the pleats? That's to keep the pieces of fabric matched together until they are sewn/ironed. I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I'm properly answering/understanding the question.
The number of yards needed depend on the waist measurement of the person wearing it and how long the skirt is going to be. I don't remember how much I used for mine, but I think it was between 1.5-2 yards of 44in wide fabric.
Step one for me: _GET PERMISSION FROM MY PARENTS XBISKANZHCIDK_ But really I am glad I found this I am saving this for in like 3 years when I can cosplay without being murdered by my parents or brother

Mimi draws I do know how to sew but I don’t have the money or anything to do it
Too much text
@@KoumoriNoHimeCosplay do they have this sweater in a men's size?
So cute! You're sewing always turns out very clean and polished looking
Thank you so much!
It ended up looking awesome. I find machine sewing really hard myself, but you do it really cleanly.
Thank you! It's just lots of practice!
@@KoumoriNoHimeCosplay Do you also sew some everyday clothes for yourself?
Not really, I usually just wear jeans and t-shirts on an everyday basis. Cosplay is the main thing I sew!
It's kind of a coincidence that you sometimes sound kind of like Himiko XD
Great cosplay tutorial though!
Thank you! I hadn't noticed that, haha.
I always wanted a toga himiko cosplay! This is so wholesome!👍🏼

This tutorial is so helpful! It is so much easier than trying to figure it out in my own! One question though: How many yards of the navy blue fabric did you use?
Thank you! I think I used about two yards, though it would depend on the width of the fabric and the measurements of the person wearing it.
Thank you so much! This is so helpful!
Um... how would you do an original character? I wanna Cosplay my own character, but don't know where to start.
This is an older video, but I pretty much use the same planning technique to start all my costumes. th-cam.com/video/Duc3iTggvTo/w-d-xo.html

Nice video. But How would you wash something like this after you are done using it or if it gets dirty?
Thank you! I just washed mine in a washing machine, though it may be best for the sweater to let it air dry instead of tumble dry.
how did you figure out the measurements for the neck piece?
Which part? The collar itself or the little insert piece? For the insert piece I measured the length and width of the opening, then added extra so it would overlap the underside of the shirt and have room to be sewn in place.

Thank you! You could wear skin colored tights with the costume, try searching for dance tights or figure skating tights!
She has knee length black socks so that part of your legs with be cozy!

I think I used their Kona cotton for this project.
I have one question, how do you pleat the skirt do you just fold it or...?
honeylemon .cosplays you can actually use a fork
Why do you use pins..?
Are you referring to when I pin the pleats? That's to keep the pieces of fabric matched together until they are sewn/ironed. I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I'm properly answering/understanding the question.
How many yards of dark blue fabric did you use?
The number of yards needed depend on the waist measurement of the person wearing it and how long the skirt is going to be. I don't remember how much I used for mine, but I think it was between 1.5-2 yards of 44in wide fabric.
*me watching this knowing Im to lazy to do this*
me: ._.
Me hases uno soy mujer
Eh for the skirt I’ll just use a school skirt-
