Nice video! I personally went with graviturgy wizard because those gravity spells match Red and Blue pretty well, and Disintegrate might as well be Purple. 18th level spell mastery for detect magic at will and Invulnerability to mimic Limitless the best I could!! The levelling path might not be as good as your build but Gojo feels like a level 20 NPC anyway xD
The encounter I'm making for Gojo vs a party of mid-level heros is actually pretty similar, it's this build combined with aspects of a Sorcerer that has access to Graviturgy spells for those exact reasons lol. But since this was for a player, and I really wanted those "I get back up even when killed" abilities, decided on Warlock. Thanks for the comment! Always fun hearing other's build ideas!

Tbh having to keep track of everything is basically what 6 eyes do for Gojoat. So its basically lore accurate Gojo roleplay wich fires the users brain.

Repelling Blast and Grasp of Hadar turns eldritch blast into Blue and reverse Red respectively and its so fun to just move people around the gield
Definitely another totally viable option! Would be interesting to see a homebrew of combinging them to just include additional damage from being pulled and pushed at the same time!

It's such a fun play style to build around! More to detection then just perception checks is something I try to teach my players lol
@@HeartLockHex Yeah, the "issue" i can see with this is you need a good DM who is willing to work with you on that. For my friend group we pretty much all are DMing our first campaign, and at least for my part, I definitively lack the experience to apply such a player skill effectively in a session, so this build would be "wasted" on me as a DM.
@@TheAusar Everyone's been there at some point! A huge part of GMing is looking at what your players are bringing to the table and forming your enemies and storylines around not only their stories, but their mechanics so that they feel useful as well. Just takes practice! I recommend dipping into it in small doses first just when you can remember to do such.

@@Garvant_ Making him is assuredly going to be interesting, melee summoners are always tricky! I have a couple ideas at least though.
The best in slot for Red should be burning hands, its close range and has a small AOE effect. You can talk with the GM to change the color to red but other than that amazing build.
Difficult to pull off with this build sadly! There's tons of options though! Never one way to build a character after all.

Hell yes! Glad I'm not the only one to think of warlock! I admit my idea was having Eldritch blast and use repelling, pulling and agonizing blasts to replicate red and blue. Also, love that note about searing Vengeance, that was beautiful.

i did something similar but i multiclassed sorcerer with warlock. I did variant human with eldritch adept to get devils sight, repelling blast, and agonizing blast. I went divine soul sorcerer for most of the way and used telekinesis for blue. Quickened cast sunbeam into sunbeam action is a potential for purple. The split was 2-18. Type of warlock was undead warlock
i forgot to add guys, you can get the domain expansion buy casting wish to replicate the spell effect symbol stunning. Its aoe wisdom save to stun for 1 minute. No resave and lasts 10 minutes
Certainly one way to do it! Dabbling in a psionic or divine soul warlock would patch up some future Gojo abilities assuredly.
Loved this along with your Yuji and Megumi builds. Would be curious as to how you would build some other characters from JJK like Geto or Sukuna? Great job and I look forward to seeing what you make in the future.

One thing I would talk about is the race because Astral elf does work as a decent alternative for making a gojo build
You get a teleport ability at lvl 1 and you can get a red like attack in the form of the spells that come with the race
I'd also say to get one of the strixhaven backgrounds to get sanctuary for infinity though it would change alot
@@bira5775 I don't use the new backgrounds anymore as me and many GMs feel they're unnecessary power growth. Like when a video game gives better powers behind a pay to win wall. But if your GM is cool with it, most assuredly yes, of course any of the backgrounds that give more spells and feats would be superior! Shield would be another good pickup with it. I see Mental Prison as the full Limitless Domain Expansion. It hurts them at full even on a successful save, and on a failed save, they are pretty much in the domain. And if they try to move or attack, they take a MASSIVE amount of damage and the spell ends.

I think a neat little thing to have possibly added could have been the clockwork soul sorcerer to represent the inability to really get the jump on Gojo, given the ability to completely negate someone’s advantage, or to make yourself just impossible to have disadvantage on
That said, this was a really cool video, and definitely like that spell to represent Purple, and the whole idea of the build!
I debated that as well, even contemplated a bit of multiclass! But decided to go pure for that "I get knocked down, but I get up again" ability lol. Thanks for the support!

I've been getting into the Yakuza series recently, and I would love to see you make a build for Kiryu Kazuma or Goro Majima from Yakuza! Since Kiryu likes to fight using his fists (mostly), I feel like he could be a four elements Monk because obviously, with him multiclassing into an Eloquence Bard because he's into karaoke and his singing voice is angelic in general. Since Majima specializes in using weapons like knives or bats, he can be a Thief/Swashbuckler Rogue while multiclassing into Berserker barbarian because of how unbelievably insane he is. Just a suggestion.

Could also work! There's quite a few options really. I have a homebrew power word mass stun that I almost used but I try to keep the homebrew to side options. Symbol is a decent option too if you want a guaranteed hit.
The build I usually go for is very MAD but if you have the right roll its extremely overpowered.
This is very dependant on having high intelligence for bladesong (infinity) and Unarmed Defense (six eyes perception). Youre more similar to teen gojo with a limited usage of Infinity instead of around the clock. Infinity is dependent on noticing the attack coming towards you and targeting it with pinpoint Cursed Energy manipulation, something that gojo's six eyes makes him do automatically, so a skillset being highly dependant on wisdom and intelligence makes sense thematically
Monk/Bladesinger can get upwards of 25 AC at level 3 with bladesong. There are two paths you can take: high monk for a better martial arts die and ki abilties or a full wizard for better spellcasting, damage, and survivability.
Gojo is likely the latter, with options like pulse wave (ua) or shatter for red or blue. Sunbeam, Disintegration, or Sunburst are good for purple. Antimagic field is good for Domain Amplification.
Although you can use a feat to get the unarmed fighting style, a d4 punch isnt the end of the world when you'll be casting spirit shroud or tenser's transformation to amplify your damage anyways. In the manga, its stated gojo uses Cursed Technique Amplification Blue on his fists to pull his target into the punch, thats what the radiant or force could simply be.
All viable but not what I wanted with this since as you said, this is young Gojo. So I wanted to focus on him being able to get back up after "dying" and having solid DPS options. Crossbow expert for melee Eldritch blast punches and sorcerer or wizard would certainly be a good multiclass later to build him up further though!
@@HeartLockHex I suppose I tried to better emulate infinity and his ability to be dodgy and prevent hits. It certainly lacks a big component of his toolkit: Reverse Cursed Technique. Your healing options are available but not nearly as good as Celestial Warlock
@@Arctic7985 Never any one way to build a character! And Anime especially makes it impossible to properly showcase all their abilities to peak effectiveness. Gotta choose your battles. But my Archimage encounter Gojo has access to abilities based on several other class features for that reason. NPC stat blocks don't play by normal rules. 😂

I would recommend Astral Self Monk for more Cursed Energy reflavor. Definitely Unarmed Fighting as a Feat.
Honestly Monk - Wizard is not really THAT MAD for the outrageous Multiclass that it is, but you need to get crafty.
If we take Point Buy and Variant Rules for a Race that gives you +2 and +1 for example we get:
Dex 15 (+1 R. Bonus) = 16
Int 14 (+2 R. Bonus) = 16
Con 13
Wis 13
Str 8
Cha 8
Just bump up your Con the first chance you get with a Half Feat, and you have a very good spread!
But you see, there's a Problem... With 13 in Wis your Unarmored Defense is pretty crap. Then, we are not using U.D. Instead, Wizards have this very useful spell called: Mage Armor.
So calculating AC at Lvl 3:
13 + 3 (Dex) + 3 (Int) = 19 AC in Bladesong, while keeping Mobility AND Martial Arts. If we Add Shield that's 24 AC.
Getting to like 18 Dex / 20 Int by Level 15 gives us a Whopping 22 AC in Bladesong. Insane.

My campaign is heavy on the homebrew, so my stats are far beyond any normal game, but bladesinger wizard is a good way to go.. whenever I activate bladesong the hair goes white the eyes turn blue it’s pretty fun lol The increased AC is whenever limitless is powered up, and the shield spell helps as well.
If I didn't have to work within the confines of reasonable stats, I'd go crossbow expert with a sorcerer dip and make each Eldritch blast a punch lol. No disadvantage then and access to some more defensive spells.

@@KareFreeTheOne one divine, four warlock. Get that fifth level first so you won't feel outpaced. Then split your other levels as you feel is fitting for the narrative!

planar binding magic circle darkness glyph of warding summon greater demon conjure celestial
fun fact, you can flavor this as the 10 shadows technique, additionally, the usage of darkness + eldritch invocation feat for devils sight can translate into something spectacularly similar to a domain, made even better due to twilight cleric level 2 feature
features of this: high mobility, lots of attacks, summoning powerful creatures, extremely good survivability utilizing one of the best subclasses in the game, and very good damage, also flight if you are into that

I absolutely love this video, I started this build for the session 0 the other day. I was wondering, since it's been in the back of my mind for a while, can you do Eustass Kid and/or Trafalgar Law from One Piece, moreso Kid? I've been trying a Eustass Kid style character in another game and its really fun, but I feel that there's still plenty I could be doing that I'm missing. It's been a Psi Warrior Fighter/Armorer Artificer, using the Thunder Gauntlets and Lightning Launcher from the Artificer with the Dual Wielder Feat, reflavoring them as being giant weapons and constructs like fists, canons, armor, etc. The Psi Warrior element was reflavored and "limited" to metal objects (magnetism/electromagnetism), with Booming Blade being a must have cantrip to add that extra "electromagnetic kick" of damage. It's really good at replicating the magenta electromagnetic energy that flies off all of Kid's constructs and attacks, and the mechanics of Booming Blade already act sort of like a "magnetic" ability of sorts. Playing as a warforged. The Armorer Artificer is pretty obvious, with it acting extremely similar to Kid's abilities. Combine that with how Kid himself is a genius engineer, and it all works out. Regardless, thanks for the build, I can't wait to follow through with it in the months to come!

Imagine playing DnD, doing quests and what not. You and your party go to a bar or a store and encounter a white haired man. Your party gets into trouble with the man for whatever reason. Now your GM, being a little bit of a troll, doesn’t specify the age so you assume it’s an old man. The man turns around and then you fucking see Satoru Gojo getting ready to use 120% Hollow Purple to wipe you, your party, and everyone else in the vicinity off the face of the earth.😭😭💀💀
Don't think about it to hard and pray. Gods exist in Faerun, surely they could at least pause Satoru! Or you'll get nuked. One or the other.
I dunno if youve watched/read it or not but id love to see if you could make Askeladd from Vinland Saga in dnd i think itd be pretty simple a fighter with maybe a 1 to 2 level dip in barbarian because when he gets angry his power really spikes but i would love to see which feats you would choose to capture his studious mind

This subclass of Warlock isn't in bg3 sadly, I'd recommend Bladesinger wizard maybe instead.

@@HeartLockHex Any suggestions for the last 5 Levels? Monks wouldn't work, because they need 6 levels before their punches are magical. Barbarian wouldn't work as they are not compatible with Spellcasters.

Gojo’s main ability being Infinity -in my mind at least- means he should be a blade singer wizard with a focus on having the highest AC possible. But maybe that’s just me…
That's easy to do with any build imo, I avoid the obvious "take a few AC things" as much as I can since anyone with google can figure out how to do that one. Throw in a bit of multiclass and wala!

No direct spells, because limitations of 5e are a thing but I dropped a few recommendatons. Shield, mage armor, etc. Things I don't think need mentioned since they're so vanilla and universal basically lol

Nanami is also a good choice. I just chose Kusakabe for his use of defensive techniques like Simple domain, probably through Shield and his own tactical acumen.

Honestly to roll gojos stats do 4d6, subtract the lowest number, reroll all ones.
Just save yourself the trouble and ask your DM to give you improved ability scores, honestly. Most reasonable DM's will if the party would prefer such, and if the DM knows beforehand they can just work with you.
Most DM's have their own "flavor" of improved scores, but generally it's an 18, 16, 15, 13, and 10. Or something to that effect. Communication is key.

Warlock works ok, but it’s not great. You only get 2 spells so it’s very short on the variety he has. You go 2 levels of warlock max just for agonizing blast, Repelling Blast for Red, and Grasp of Hadar for Blue. You want the push and pull options with high output. Also go Divine Soul for Lvl 13 to get meta magic and self-healing. You also get thunderwave for push spell. Another option is war magic, +2 for shield of faith, Mage Armor 13, +2 for Arcane Deflection instead of Shield using a spell slot or +4 to saving throw which is huge since your whole thing is to NOT get hit. Cool twist but it’s not effective as Gojo and I feel you focused on his Offense but none of the defense.
Tons of ways to build him! None of that's what I wanted for this though since that all feels fairly easy to Google and think up. Thanks for the ideas for others though!
