- Crystal Mining for some amethyst and other wild varietes of quartz at a brand new location in Charlotte, North Carolina! The first day we did ok, and decided to go one more round and found some cool clusters! This was a fun time and we plan to do more and possibly some small public digs a couple of times per year!

O My Gosh !!! Simply love watching you pull crystals out. And my favorite diver is with you. I am a big fan of both of you. I have never wanted to dig for amethyst so bad in my life. I am 63 year's old and not in good health. Unfortunately May not be around much longer. I really want to do this. U til then Rock On!!!!

I finally moved to NC best rocking around. I love to dig my own I have followed you quite awhile and dug several places scuffling acres was my best ever super nice ppl. Lol I used hand tools but cool finds. If you ever offer class or field trips nc ga sc va be happy to learn techniques and hunt. Thank you for informative videos.

im in winston salem, was thinking of making a trip to twin creek crystal mine in arkansas. i've never tried, but love rocks and tired of buying them on ebay. yall had any luck with anything gemmy in nc? even anything with a point?

They may get a bit heavy to carry but , if you can’t hump everything to properly use a paint sprayer , might I suggest one of those backpack sprayers landscapers use ? The ones I used at a tree farm I worked in the early 90s had a 4 gallon capacity , a pump handle to build pressure , and a wand sprayer with and adjustable tip . That would mainly be for when you couldn’t carry a generator the muck and woods , to where you needed to go , but could get the water and backpack to .

Back in the 90's I did some work at a farm in Weddington,NC off Providence and found bunches of long Amethyst crystals right on the surface of the driveway. Deep purples. Wish I would have pursued it a little more. Killer finds guys.

@@TheCrystalCollector I no longer live in NC but could get you in contact with the owners. Im not even sure if its still a farm. So much of that area has been bought up and sub divided.

@@jega42 I have dug up clear and smoky quartz, "emeralds" which are the hiddinite from NC. Great specimens of amethyst and garnets.
@@jega42 AT DIAMOND HILL I'VE FOUND MAINLY CLEAR, MILKY, SMOKEY, SKELETAL, ONE BEAUTIFUL POINT WITH THE SLIGHTEST HINT OF "PURP"😂 AND SOME GRAY QUARTZ, CHALCEDONY ETC. THAT LOCATION HAS ALOT MORE THAN THAT TO OFFER THOUGH.
Those sceptres are lovely Bryan, I love seeing the cleaned crystals, they are so gorgeous once the mud has gone. The different colours caused by the earth they were in gives them a beautiful colour and I think it makes look amazing. @@flowerpower8418 I'm on the coast in Essex and I would go fossil hunting in Walton on the Naze but I'm disabled and can't use the stairs though my nephew has found sharks teeth there. I love crystals and have a few from my sons shop in Colchester lol. He has some beautiful crystals and even sells to the US lol. Good luck sweetheart, take care and best wishes Mary-Ellen

@@flowerpower8418 I'm sure it's called Ruby's Rocks, it's in Castle Walk, from the car park at the end of the walk you can see the old Castle originally built by the Roman's. It's a small shop but its laid out so my wheelchair can go around it bless him. He is my hubby's son but in my heart he is mine as well. Thanks for sharing once again! What is the dark mineral on the cluster at 9:41? Is that hematite or another iron mineral such as pyrite? It's hard to tell from the video. It's great to see the interesting geologic history with the amethyst scepters and hematite. Is this part of the same system as the Purple 💜 and another amethyst locations in GA?

My dads place is in the same area and we have TONS of quartz sticking put of the ground. I hated digging holes as a kid due to all the quartz
