- My female budgie Fiona lost her partner Kiki 4 days before the baby came out of the egg.
Everyone knows that budgies raise babies in pairs, and that they rarely succeed on their own.
She laid 5 eggs, find out how it all went.

How old the budgie could fly?
Budgies become fully feathered and can fly after 4-5 weeks. While baby budgies start learning to fly earlier than this, they can't do so properly without plenty of practice. Sometimes, their flight doesn't develop as quickly as it should because their wings aren't strong enough.

@@coldhot8723 Cut off wings are something terrible that can be done to a parrot. Of course it's normal that he can't fly with that severed wings..😢

@@coldhot8723 Well nothing just wait.. At 3 months old, he should be going into his first moult. He should regrow some flight feathers, but if it's a really harsh clip it may take until her next moult for them all to grow back.
