A pet store gave me one with a deformed beak. The beak never stopped growing and had to be regularly trimmed. They said no one wanted it so they have him to me free of cost with supplies. Sadly he died a few months later.

I set up a heat lamp over them and put them in a little moss bed for now under the lamp, i also have a light outside of the tank shining on them, and a heating pad underneath the tank. I was wondering what humidity and temperature the eggs should be in? They seem to be doing fine I just figured I’d ask an expert. And is there anything I can do to help them out? I have been putting tiny drops of water on them and turning them a couple times a day but other than that I’m not sure what I should do. If you have the time I’d love to hear your advice! ❤️❤️❤️

I know this is late, but I see that there were no replies so I’ll explain the second part of your question. Based on the mutations of the parents, you can determine the likelihood of certain mutations being passed on to the babies.
This video really help me. My budgie laid eggs over 20 now. Only one hatched n they didn't feed it properly n it died. If I knew I have to intervine n feed them manually by hand. I probably had a chance to save that kid. I named it blue n it broke my heart. I really let myself down. Only if I knew

not sure if i read your question right, but no females cant get pregnant on their own. they need to mate with a male budgie in order to become pregnant with fertile eggs
Well when they are born don't touch it but if it's neccasery like cleaning cage you should but otherwise when it has fur around it body and you can see its walking your aloud

Hi there, Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. I have a question that I was hoping you may be able to answer for me.? My hen is not feeding one of her babies that hatched 2 days ago. She has 2 other chicks that hatched a week ago and she is only feeding them and keeps pushing the newly hatched chick to the corner of the breeding box. The chicks crop is empty and doesn’t look in good shape I have taken it out and fed it formula, but I’m not sure how often to feed it. Also, you mentioned in your video about giving chicks a shot of warm water, I think my chick needs this but how much do I give it? Thank you in advance for your kind assistants
Oh no, this Happens to me more than half of the time but for a newly hatched chick you’re supposed to feed it every 15-30 minutes because their crop is so small they aren’t able to really hold food in there for a long time. As for the water only give them some when you see that they either are turning into like an ashy color or when you see their organ which I think is the liver starts to turn black. I wish you nothing but the best with this hand feeding journey you got this. But I would advise after you feed it out it back with the mom once it’s big enough for her to notice she’ll feed it.
