Sorry for the irregular uploads and delay between videos. We are short on manpower trying to get facilities up and running. It's tough building up a lab, workshop, and office with just a few hands while trying to make explosives and ordnance for videos. The blistering heat of south Texas has not helped either as midday becomes nearly intolerable for both film and construction. We are doing our best to get back to a regular schedule with all the ideas we have prepared.

Molotov is cheaper and does more damage to health. Thermite is more expensive but does more damage to armour for some reason. The various updates may have changed this.
If you put stones in your molotov wine bottle, its easier to make it break. Old coke bottles are ridiculously hard to break, champagne bottles are tough, cheap wine bottles easier and beer bottles pretty easy. so experimenting with water can be a great way to see what works best on the surface you are planning to attack.
I used to work at a liquor store, the nasty cheap malt liquor 40s are usually the thinnest cheapest bottles imaginable. They break all the time, very little effort required. For your health!
We made several light bulb Molotovs in the 1960's, and if you take your time, they are very easy to make without breaking the bulb. In fact, of the 20 or so I made, I only broke one bulb during construction.
I think the thermite grenade should have a second chance at the filing cabinet by putting it upside down onto it. It either will fly off or burn a hole through it but is worth trying as from the thermite spray it seems to be somewhat directional. You could probably tie it down with some steel cable to prevent it flying but it would be interesting to see a comparison of it being face up vs face down
Thing is themite grenades aren't for cutting metal, they're for denying stuff, papers, ordinance, take your pick, both Special Forces and regular military units will carry them on COIN ops for destroying insurgent caches
Would love to see a video of y'all testing various types of ordnance on ballistic dummy labs torsos just to see what would happen if someone had an accident. It would make a really good visualization for why people should not try making their own ordnance at home lol
If you want to ensure the molotov breaks more often you should tape little bits of ceramic all around the bottle and aslong as it lands on one of them it should break, theoretically.

As far as the intended use of a Molotov it's still far simpler to use spiked petrol with a rag. Do you know much about interesting incendiaries because I'm able looking to learn some new things 👍
I'd love to see a video about thermite. Iron thermite is the classic. Thermate is pissed off and mildly toxic thermite. Copper thermite goes off so fast it's fully capable of being explosive. There's some other fun metals for thermite such as magnesium as long as you have enough chemistry knowledge to set up the right ratios.

I've always wondered if the "bottle not breaking" problem could be addressed by putting a small firecracker with a few seconds worth of fuse inside, or taped to the outside of the bottle? Well if you need something hard to get the bottle to break add some concrete. A card board mailing tube, large enough for the bottle to slide down, with concrete cast at the bottom. The tube has a cap that holds the bottle above the concrete. When it's thrown the inertia of the bottle holds it in place. When the concrete hits the ground the momentum of the bottle slides it down the tube to break on the concrete. The diplomats device spreads it's energy wider than the other thing. More burning for the energy used to ignite the fire. Maybe if a piece of rebar has duct taped to the bottom of the bottle, it's weight would cause it to hit the ground first. The bottle would break some feet above ground and spread it's fuel over a wider area. Hypothetically that is.

The OG Finnish molotov cocktails used storm matches to ignite the liquid inside. The match was tied on the outside of the bottle. This way the bottle can be closed and the fuel won't spill on you when thrown.

Standard fare is some form of cotton permeated with some sort of accelerant (petroleum jelly, paraffin, etc.) I’d probably rule out most forms of thermite, since the stuff seems harder to ignite than even wet firewood. Fine magnesium powder, etc.?

You could probably repurpose a smoke grenade or something. The grenade used the fuse as a bursting charge I believe.

I wanted to know if, throwing like 20-30 meters with force, the molov in normal bottles wouldn't explode. really black on soft ground it's natural that it won't break. MAYBE if there was a weight attached, like one or three stones lightly tied with tape around it, the impact of the stones with the glass due to inertia could break it consistently.

I don’t use a wick in my Molotov’s I use a stopper and duct tape a storm match to the side and use the neck as a handle like a stick grenade. Stopper prevents any self inflicted burns

I do not know what fuel you used but for lighting stuff like wood I feel like something like kerosene, lmap oil or white spirit my be good as they arnen't as explosive as something like gasoline but if it soaks into the wood the wood will act like a big wick. I mean what you did worked and I can imagine that a big kerosene fire (while smelling like a jet engine) may be harder to put out. So perhaps not as safe? I do not know but if I am lighting a small fire I will usually go for a small amout of kerosene (if paper and birch bark fails.)

I had cactus problems. Try this ,cut the cactus down as close to the ground as possible. Drill a hole deep into the stump.pour as much plain table salt into and on the fresh stump as you can. Let it do thing about 3-5 days ! Dead it also kills any little buggers that were waiting to pop up

Tip: add 20-25 percent used motor oil to your moltov to make a sticky moltov helps fire remain in place longer on vertical targets such as walls
I also add Styrofoam and magnesium filings. The magnesium makes the fire burn bright good for blinding people in a night situation

I've seen those bulbs being used as traps in various settings.
I prefer standard fire myself, thermite is cool but it's more of a pain to use.
wrap 3 b day sparklers in cooking foil 2 layers. it generates more heat makes it fool proof to light

Thermite burns really REALLY hot, but gas/napalm sticks to stuff; both work pretty good when you lob them into a vehicle's engine block.

They really do, don't they? So much jam jars have been broken due to my clumsiness. We can def test them out.
I know that mason jars were used widely.
Personally I would think that the capacity of a jam jar would be too small though for a really good Molotov.

personally i add polystyrene to my Molotov's it increases burn time and adds stickiness
By weight it should be at least 25% polystyrene.

Rather than using a (thick) wine bottle, try using a thinner glass bottle used for something like vinegar. They break insanely easy

I do not know what fuel you used but for lighting stuff like wood I feel like something like kerosene, lmap oil or white spirit my be good as they arnen't as explosive as something like gasoline but if it soaks into the wood the wood will act like a big wick. I mean what you did worked and I can imagine that a big kerosene fire (while smelling like a jet engine) may be harder to put out. So perhaps not as safe? I do not know but if I am lighting a small fire I will usually go for a small amout of kerosene (if paper and birch bark fails.)

Put thermite in a clay flower pot and set it on a safe, filing cabinet, etc…melt right through.
Thermite grenade is great at destroying vehicles such as detracking tanks while molotovs are better at destroying buildings and anything less armored than a tank

I had cactus problems. Try this ,cut the cactus down as close to the ground as possible. Drill a hole deep into the stump.pour as much plain table salt into and on the fresh stump as you can. Let it do thing about 3-5 days ! Dead it also kills any little buggers that were waiting to pop up
