Exhaust looks great and I'm sure it'll sound awesome without being too loud. Thanks for sharing all the details, always learn something off your build videos. 👍
You do you, bro! It always comes out great. And don’t worry about the length of the video, I didn’t even notice it as I was so engrossed in your process! Always a pleasure to watch, keep it up bro 🤙🏼😊
Put some sauce on it. Had me in stitches. Very cool to see your vision of a CX ADV bike. Nice contrast to the CX500 budget scrambler by Caferacer Garage.
Thank you. I had it knocked out in about 8 hours or a bit less. With the tig there is a lot of prep time in cleaning the material before you can even tac it
Great work! Also try some Solar Flux Type B no need for back purging stainless...works great and no need for wasting argon. Keep up the great builds can't wait to see that CBX come back to life too!
This seems like the next step for a weekend warrior type bike that I have. A bit more roar then just removing the stock exhaust caps. I’ll be interested in what it does sound like. Because on longer rides I don’t really want to wear ear plugs, but I want to embrace the art of the exhaust. Nice sound, but not a deafening drone at 75mph cruise.
I really like your detail w/ showing your steps to creat proper outcomes. Excellent teacher, thank you. I enjoy too learn...... Picked up a xs400sj , wish you had more yamaha videos. Have you ever done a cleaning solution episode covering what not too use "because", what you can use or best and their differences. Never sure what to watch for when cleaning parts?
Well thank you Monty! I do have an ongoing XS400 build that will be making a return before too long you would be interested in! Are you asking specifically about tig cleaning solutions?
@@BrickHouseBuilds hello and thanks for the reply. So cool as their are not many that seem to play with the xs's. I get hesitant with solutions regarding the motor and components. Should I just stick with gas and carb cleaner? I'm good w/ my hands and I'm learning this bike w/ a tear down........parts ; do you have a go to place. Compatibility in years and cc?? Slowly learning Wish I could give a million to have someone assist as to not reck or damage plus get it down the right way. Thanks again for your time!
@@roamingearth915 oh I see what you are saying now. Gas and carb cleaner are very violent for simply cleaning parts(unless its a carburetor) as you can ruin paint and other delicate surfaces. I use Gunk brand foamy cleaner and a toothbrush to clean a lot of stuff as its gentle. You could spend days on this subject so its impossible to say simply 1 or 2 things will get the job done. It all depends on what you are cleaning and the type of grime you are wanting to remove.
@@BrickHouseBuilds thanks, your a good man and I like your style. Winter here is coming and I have feeler I'll be pulling hair soon. Lol hope to keep in touch. Thanks again
Just recently discovered your channel. Cant get enough. Noticed the table top you built for the horizontal bandsaw. I'm going to duplicate that for mine. Have any more pictures on it?
Well thank you! I actually got that bandsaw idea from Struan of the remotorcycled channel. I'm doubting I have dedicated pics of the platform but it is a 1/4" plate welded to some 2x2" square tube I had laying around. It has turned that saw into something I use every single day. Absolute must
Tony its not a blast. The volume increases to put emphasis on the music but it is at the same output level as ambient and vocal levels. You are the only person in 2 years to say this and I take extreme care to make sure the audio is level when editing. Im not sure what to reccomend here for you.
Seems to me, that the bracket for the exhaust, should be connected to the swingarm and definitely not the frame? Won't the exhaust break, when you sit on the bike? Regards from Denmark 🇩🇰
By backpressure you mean exhaust gas velocity and no. On the intake side there is potential to slow around bends but I do not believe it has much of an effect with only a couple bends. The diameter of the exhaust tubing is what determines the gas velocity and maintaining that velocity is the important thing.

Thank you and great to hear Graham! I learn something new each day and if I can pass knowledge on to others I have done my job

I appreciate that! Everyone is different in what they like for video length and style so it impossible to appease everyone
Your videos are great had a cx 500 custom when I was in my 20's great bike had a lot of fun with it.
Thank you!

Thanks Paul! I think you will love where this build goes as you continue the playlist. It will be a real-deal adventure bike
Nice Job mate, I have never liked Comstar wheels but they do look very good the way you have redone them.
Love the look and position of those silencers (mufflers) on the bike, gives it a real nice look.
I appreciate it Gary!
I think that exhaust looks great. Not too long in my eyes. Just curious, how many hours did that mockup take?
Thank you. I had it knocked out in about 8 hours or a bit less. With the tig there is a lot of prep time in cleaning the material before you can even tac it
Nice work on the exhaust, the finishing touches after shortening the main header..👍
Thank ya!
Lovely work mate, looking really good 👍
Thank ya!
Fantastic job on that exhaust BJ 👍🏼
Thank ya sir!
Great fab work on the pipe. Gotta get myself a tig welder.
They are expensive to get and operate but man they just open up so many doors for fabrication possibilities. So worth it

Thank you! The CBX is coming I promise!
Really impressed by this. Great job!
Thanks Larry!
Jolly good job my friend - looks absolutely top notch - thanks as always for sharing!
I appreciate it Mike!
Really nice exhaust build. Way to adapt - thanks for sharing!
Thank ya! I've since lowered the muffler a bit for a better look as well

Nice work dude!! Clean lines, simple design & solid construction as per. 😉🏴👍

@@BrickHouseBuilds Thanks, I have no doubt I will figure it out. Pays to be a pack rat.
Very tasty work
Many thanks Mike!
Hi BJ, yep, music blasts at 5.50 right after your vocal...

Great stuff!! What rear shocks are you using??
Thank you! Check episode 2
Hey BJ enjoying this build series. But I do have a question did you make your band saw table/stand and if so which video is it in.
Hey Carl! I did make the table. If I do any fab work I use it so no idea what video to reccomend. I never made a dedicated video on the table
@@BrickHouseBuilds gotcha I wondered if I missed it sometime
Seems to me, that the bracket for the exhaust, should be connected to the swingarm and definitely not the frame? Won't the exhaust break, when you sit on the bike? Regards from Denmark 🇩🇰
You have that backwards Jakob. The swingarm moves independently of the engine and rest of the frame. Attaching anything to it would be catastrophic
Great video,,, looking good.. did you make the crash bar around the motor?? I need something like that
Thanks Billy. Those are a factory Honda crash bar actually. You can find those on ebay sometimes
Appreciate it,,, I haven’t had any luck @ EBay,. I thinking about making some this winter
Oh, I see a bunch of sets listed right now actually.
I needing for CX650 custom..
@@bear186 oh thats right! I forgot
Is there a notable change in back pressure with 90deg turns in the pipe vs less acute angles?
