Sir, your work, your technique and your dedication, make every minute of this video worth gold. Thank you very much for sharing content of such excellent quality, and for showing and teaching your great workforce and knowledge, greetings from Patagonia, Argentina.
G’day and greetings from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 I’m an old rider now but I think that it’s terrific how a young bloke like yourself working away in your own business and I have never seen one of these bikes turned into a scrambler and I reckon you have done one fantastic job on that congratulations and well done I have subscribed and I really look forward to more videos. Kind regards John
NIce job !! Im working on a cx500 too , I didn't forget the coolant bottle but I forgot the shaft thinking that I could put it from the back and notice it when I went to put the diff and I had everything on and torked even shock absorvers, what a pain. Well done looks great, thanks
Hi BJ, hope you are well. Super quality work as usual and the CX looks awesome already. Thoroughly enjoy watching you work and I also learn a lot with each video. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work.
Nice use on the bike stand to unload the truck . Love the effort and results so far . And the mix & match wheel combo is great , the stance is almost bang on , but I am a sucker for Mazzaroci piggy back rear shocks . Great work brother . Respect
Awesome video. Looks great. For info, I could see the fantastic frame just fine on the black blanket. I was wondering if you had a link to that... fast forward button, where you can do things like...5 times as fast. I need that. If I'm doing something like pounding in a bearing race.... .... FF taptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptap 10 seconds elapsed. Heheheh The sound when you did that was great too.
@@BrickHouseBuilds Very unfair. Imagine having a client say, "yeah but in the video you were like superman and did it like in 40 seconds. What's taking so long?"
Great channel, great work. I will say this one looks a bit too high in the nose and raked. Slide the forks down an inch in the clamps and grab some super low rise MX bars and I think it will handle and look better. Anytime we added travel to our old MX bikes the handling could end up changing drastically, especially over cornering bumps at speed.
You're viewing the bike without any sag as a basic rolling chassis. I spent a lot of time raising the bike so lowering it is not an option. This is an adventure bike so it is set up as such with ergos. Definitely go back and check out the previous videos to see the direction of this bike as its not like your typical vintage bike with knobby tires.
Fair enough, your vision your bike. My collarbone urged me to post the fact that changing geometry, especially rake can really affect handling off road.
Did the U.S get the single shock Eurosport version of the CX500/650?? they have the same look as the Turbos but with a small bikini fairing instead of the big fairing the turbos came with.
Unfortunately no. I would love a Eurosport as they are near perfect in stock form. Boomerang wheels, aluminum bits, great tank, better suspension, etc.
With alloy parts, do you put a clear coat over them or just leave them bare, ive had problems with clear coating alloy in the past, with either the clearcoat turning "yellowy" or corrosion getting under it, i'm wondering if leaving it bare might work.
Hey Scott, I went over that in the video actually. In the video linked here you can see the fork swap and see details in the description. th-cam.com/video/Xcg6u-NUnTg/w-d-xo.html
many might disagree but for cleaning plastics and general workshop use, i always found GT85 to be way better, and at the time i was discovering this i was working in a pushbike shop in late 90's building race downhill machines and old school bmx. Yes there is some brand loyalty but I always had both so was through experience my choice was made. Mind you, I have never looked for 5 litre bottles of GT85, yet I know thats an easy score for WD. But come on ffs, GT smells way nicer and thats far more important than lubrication qualities!!!!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy the videos!
You had me sold as soon as you unloaded from your van ! Well thought out.
Lol glad to hear!
Wow, a brand new bike! Beautiful! I hope I can get mine looking half as great.
🤘🤘
Man that thing is looking good!
🤘🤘
Another amazing looking project! Great series!
Thank you much!
Great vibe and pace to the video, super chill with good music flow. Bro you’re killing it, so fire!👏
Many thanks! I know the music isn't for everyone but its what I like for the vibe of the work so it stays lol

PS it would look great with a red seat on it just a thought
Thank you John! Hopefully you get to see the rest of the videos on this bike and its final form as it turned out really cool!
Damn good videos!
It’s almost better than working on motorcycles myself.
Very informative, relaxing and entertaining.
Also love your music choices.
Awesome to hear thank you!
Love this build, nice to see it back in a rolling state.
The reclamation of floor space is the best part lol
Seeing these videos keeps me motivated to keep mine going forward!
Keep pushing!

I have 10000% done that too lol. Easy to make simple mistakes like that. Glad you liked the video
Assessment video, great style and presentation! The bike is looking great! Excellent work, mate!
Thanks Andy!
I wanted to type 'awesome' not assessment! 🤣
Looking good, BJ. I see you also have a calibrated, three finger socket set, as do I! 😆

Thank ya sir! I'm hoping when done the details won't be lost in a sea of black so it will be a challenge to maintain contrast
Very nice looking built! It’s a lot of work, but keep on your good work!
Many thanks!

It's so clean! It's almost too bad it's eventually going off road lol.
I feel this lol. I plan to beat this thing when done to work out kinks but am already dreading the detail after lol
It's looking so good dude! Can't wait to see how this one turns out :)
Thank ya! It will be rad when done

Ff and time-lapse mode just makes it seem unfair how long it really takes lol

You don’t sit around much do you 😅👍 can’t wait to see what happens next 🤘
No time for such things lol

20:38 are those cicadas in the background? They loud af lol
They are noisy here for sure but I also think the mic is picking them up more

I don't have a definitive answer there. I have some chemicals to coat bare aluminum but I do also clear sometimes
Looks like a fun bike to ride but even more fun to build…….or maybe I got that backwards.
Either way I excited about it
Are the fork gators / covers upside down?
I thought the wider part went over fork lowers and got secured in place?
They did go over the wide portion of the lowers and get secured. Maybe I didn't show that spot up close or something.
@@BrickHouseBuilds yeah saw it on the build up video. It's looking great. Need to get mine back on the road.
Showroom floor finish
Thank ya!
WHERE do you find someone to powdercoat frame and accessories ? * ? * ? JimInCincy.....
Powdercoating businesses are very common. I have many options within 50 miles
What are those forks off of?
Hey Scott, I went over that in the video actually. In the video linked here you can see the fork swap and see details in the description. th-cam.com/video/Xcg6u-NUnTg/w-d-xo.html
懐かしいバイクですね。
日本だとGL500ですかね?
I believe it may have been under the GL500 name there yes. They had the GL400 so possibly just that due to CC restrictions or something.
