    Thank you so much for this video. It was definitely beginners friendly. I'm going to attempt to decorate my niece's wedding card box with fabric. I'm very particular on how I want the edges to look and you've provided me with the knowledge needed to achieve what I want. Again, thank you.

    Thank you so much! When wrapping a smaller box with paper ( no lid) I used to wrap the whole thing, then have to punch my knuckles thru the top & tape down the rigid messy excess on the inside Looked like a toddler did it, lol = You saved my future projects with your smart cutting technique. I appreciate YOU ! :)

    How did you go around the handles and what does the inside look like? Is it best not to use patterned fabric as yours didn't seem to join up at all.

      I'm sure the thumbs downs are because Mamie has shown us photos of what she did rather than a video of her actually doing the task. Too much is left for the viewer to figure out. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth two thousand. To restate it: show us by doing the task and let us see you doing the task, rather than describe what has been done.
      BTW, I did not thumbs down this video, though if I had, it would be for the reasons I stated.

    • @mamiecarson

      @@Gwen3344 totally agree! However, it was one of my first diy videos and I had no idea it would garner nearly 80k views! Lol. I appreciate your feedback!

      @@mamiecarson Hi Mamie, thanks for receiving my feedback in the constructive spirit in which it was intended. TH-cam comments, I know, can be brutal, lol! Also, thanks for putting yourself 'out there', so to speak, to share your knowledge to help others learn. Sharing is really one of the most gratifying human experiences. I hope you have found that to true.

      If I were to do it, it would be because it doesn't seem like it's complete. seems like the end is missing. I've been watching DIY tutorials since 2012 and have probably watched thousands and this is not a whole video. It definitely leaves you guessing the last part.

    What about the inside of the box? I want a completely finished look.

    • @littlebettyscrafts556
      @littlebettyscrafts556 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      First do the outside as she’s showing you. Then use the same method for your “inside”
      Extra cute tip :
      Adhere the inside leaving about 3 to 4 inches sticking out the top of the box all the way around, make a nice fold over, tucking the paper under itself, adhere this “tuck under” by Podging both pieces together.
      Now take your nice “tucked” hangover piece and Podge that down all the way around the outside. Take your hot glue gun,
      and glue some pretty ribbon or lace around the box, using that clean folded edge as a nice even guide.
      Tie a handmade label out of paper or what you have, and then you’ve got one super cute storage bin, that helped use up scraps of paper and ribbon, plus the box didn’t have to go anywhere as trash ☺️
      Bonus , you’ve got that total finish look, and a couple of easy extras,
      If your box is smaller, you could hot glue some large beads on the bottom corners for “feet”
      I hope I made it easy enough to understand,
      ☮️💟&🦄’s

    Way to go 👍 Have watched countless tutorials on fabric covered boxes, but yours was the easiest, fastest, most practical one. Spot on 👌Please complete the process of how to line the inside by making a detachable, independent liner that can be removed and washed. As I live in a country where Peel n Stick is unavailable, would double-sided tape work just as well? Any other glue/tape suggestions if one is fabric covering & lining cardboard boxes, like Amazon Prime ones? 😊

    • @mamiecarson
      @mamiecarson  7 ปีที่แล้ว
