    Thank you for such a precise tutorial and for not stuffing the corners in all sloppy like a lot of the other videos I see. One safety note for the average TH-cam viewer: please use caution if using a flame to melt frays as spray glues are highly flammable.
    Still one of the best videos out there. Thank you!

    I have been wanting to cover boxes with fabric but none of the tutorials I found helped like this one did. Just did my first box according to your instructions and it turned out perfectly! Thanks!

    Hi TheCurlygurly14!
    Most craft stores sell spray adhesive, and some discount stores may also have it in their craft section. There are several brands but all seem to work basically the same way.
    Best of luck with your projects, and thank you for watching our videos!

    Wow - that is perfect! I am kinda of a perfectionist and I've never tried to cover a box because I wasn't sure how to do it without getting all the bulk around the corners and stuff. This is great! I am looking forward to trying it now!

    I have a metal tissue box holder that shows fingerprints like crazy! I'm going to use this method to cover it instead. I'll start with the top piece and starburst cut inside the oval opening to be able to fold those pieces inward to seal the opening. Then I'll move to your exaggerated plus sign with the two opposite sides wider for wrapping around the corners first.
    A suggestion...show what you're marking with a colored, disappearing seamstress' marker. I couldn't tell what you were doing until after the oversized plus was cut out.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Excellent question! You could use a vase, if you can find one that fits snugly. If not, find a vase that's close in size, and add tissue paper between the vase and the box to stabilize the vase. Another option is a plastic liner; they're available in round and square and in varying sizes. Thanks for watching our videos!

    Neat 👍 Loved your idea. And love florals 😊 So, winning combo. Please complete the process with a tutorial on how to line the inside of the box with minimum joints showing. Thanks !

    Hi!! Just found your video. I have many different patterns of cloth, so looking forward to trying this. Just a question: I'm sure you work with some expensive and/or rare sorts of flowers, as well as daisies or carnations ( what I can envision putting in a cotton print box). If you were going to use orchids, lilies of the valley, roses, etc, have you tried covering a box with silk, satin, or velvet? Or any upscale fabric? Is the adhesive process the same? Or will the spray adhesive just soak through the fabric and ruin it? I wanted to ask before, I try the material and ruin it. Thank you in advance for answering. I know this video is severely years old.

    Latoya, thank you for viewing our video! The procedure for covering the lid is the same, but, obviously, you will need less fabric for that, since the sides of the lid are short. I hope that helps!

    Hi ceeloflo,
    A liner can work fine, as long as it is sturdy and fits well. Thanks for watching!

  • @rollingthunder4599
    @rollingthunder4599 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would measure the box first, then buy the fabric. That way you won't get too much fabric, or not enough.
