Looks great and functional. Im a solo female 2 door jeep owner with 3 dogs and a son soon to leave the nest. Looking for a way to travel with my dogs and not waste cash on hotels! This is very inspirational.
Awesome!! Glad I could help out with some ideas. This set up was so helpful! Unfortunately I traded this wrangler in for a four door so now I have to start all over with something new 😂
Ayy appreciate that man 😄. Yeah seeing that 1k one was the reason I decided to build one because it shouldn’t cost that much for a box inside of a box 😂
@@ExpeditionConnexion I actually had my buddy here earlier looking how much space I have and he was like "NAH MAN" you're going to have to get rid of your back seats. I said no way Jose. lol. Then started looking for videos and found yours. Maybe one day we can team up and hit Mack's Canyon. I'm usually camping out there during summer too.
@@exploringMundos haha I feel that man the backseat is key! Sometimes I wish I had a four door so i could just lay the seats down but now my wrangler can sleep two and has a sink 😆. But that would be awesome man! For sure! It’s so nice up there. Our trip got cut short cuz the weather but we for sure wanna head back there during the summer 😄🤘🏽
Thanks so much appreciate that! And yes absolutely 😄 I didn’t want to do any type of drilling into the metal so I decided to make a base so I can bolt the bed plus what ever else I need to so I wouldn’t have to make any wholes in the frame haha
I have been looking for designs like this for my 2011 Wrangler JK. Easy to use this as a design start point. Thanks for posting.
good build
Excellent!! Building something to your specific needs and saving some money along the wany is the ticket!
Thanks so much man and exactly! I Can save a lot of money if I just do it myself and not have to worry about limitations from an actual company 😄
Use a piano hinge on the trap door instead. It won't stick up as much. Happy camping.
I have been looking for answers to the same problem. Thank you so much for sharing this I love the build
Ayy appreciate that man thanks for watching 😄🙏🏽

I have a 2D JK also and planned on building a deck/shelf system but never thought about a bed. I like your design, I might try it.

The Nomad kitchen for $1000+ made me land on your page. Lol Great work man. I am getting ready to get my Grand Cherokee the outdoor treatment.

Hey great build and thank you for sharing. But.... looks like you have since gone to a RTT? Why? TIA
NVRMND - I posted this comment before I saw your video on pros and cons of tent, car and RTT camping.
Amazing
Much love 😄🙌🏽
I like the Idea but I would have to sleep Kittycorner, as I have a 2000 Jeep TJ, and I'm 5'11!😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks man. I’m 6 3 haha I have to crunch my legs up but gets the job done 😄🤘🏽
how did you secure the floor??
this is awesome!! quick question, the purpose of the wood base is so you don't have to bolt the bed frame to the jeep ?

@@ExpeditionConnexion that makes perfect sense! thank you for the tip!
@@frankiieeee1 yeah man no problem 😄🤘🏽
