Thanks, this is pretty helpful. I'm just getting started on a new different channel (not this one) and I'm trying to decide if I want a teleprompter and how logistically it would work at all. I purchased a tripod for my smart phone to be the camera but also film from a webcam I mounted on my desktop monitor and either way it seems impossible to really use a teleprompter with either type of camera... or I'd need to buy another type of tripod too in addition to the teleprompter... or...
Another type of tripod is a cheaper solution. It’s what I go with :)
Could you use it with a Dji action camera ?
Hmmm good question. I don’t see why not although I don’t have one to be able to test it for you. You’d just need to make sure that the slanted mirror doesn’t pick up any reflections. To combat that you can use a bit of black cloth to curtain the camera and exclude extra light seeping between the lens and the mirror.
Hello I purchased this teleprompter but I can’t get it to work properly.
The script displays incorrectly.
When I emailed Ulanzi , they told me
I need to turn on the Mirror button on the iPhone. I can’t find that mirror button
Hmm not sure about that. I use this app and it flips and mirrors it automatically once you’ve put your script in.

Spooks with Bluetooth on ur phone as a remote trigger. Should work on any Bluetooth device to some degree I imagine 🤷🏼♂️

You could use. clamp attached to your main tripod and holding the teleprompter in place??

Hey buddy thanks for your wonderful video. I have an issue with lense . I am using canon r10 with rf 18 155 mm. I think it’s 55 mm lense so I couldn’t fit ulanzi promoter.is there any or any lense adopters ring for rf lense 18 to 150 mm? I hope you will reply thanks
Hey mate. The RF is 18-150mm has a 55mm thread. You have the same issues as I did on the video so I’d recommend using the 58mm adapter ring and just push the lens through the hole. It’ll only be a 3mm difference and you shouldn’t have any issues with it.

You could try but I don’t think it would work.
Hi! Thanks for your video. Could you please clarify, is it possible to use this prompter with 18 mm on my fujifilm xt3 kit lens ?(18-55, 2.8-4)
What’s the thread size of the lens? It’s the number after a little circle with a line through it.
58 mm, and yes, I meant the vignetting problem with wide angle, because I mostly use 18 mm
@@kaspi_kzoh I see. Sorry. Yes the Xt3 is APS-c meaning your 18mm is about 27mm full frame equivalent, which will be fine.

You mean to cover the remaining glass after it's folded up, nope.

I feel like this is only good if you shoot with a smartphone. Using 2 tripods with a camera is weird.
I’ve only ever used two tripods with a teleprompter. Otherwise it’s too much weight on the lens. Wouldn’t call it weird.
is the tripod included? i probably won't like the answer, since you used 2 tripod for your camera and for the prompter.

@@RalphMayhewPhotography i think i'm gonna use a tablet directly, instead of a phone + a miror, plus it's $90 in france, all tripod compatible are also about $90, which is super expensive. stay tuned to discover our exciting news show 😂
I had the same issue of the tablet weighing down the prompter. I used a simple support leg, amazon has the small rig for $35, type in small rig magic arm clamp

Do you have any recommendations for a teleprompter that I can use with a webcam?
I’d just use my laptop screen and sit back from it so it looks like ur talking to the camera while looking at the screen.

This is a BIG FAIL on Ulanzi's part for not not including a bridge support to support the weight of the teleprompter. I would have gotten this if it was included. I see other brands that include something to support the weight. I may get those instead. But thanks for your review. I appreciate it.
No worries. Just not sure what you mean about bridge support? I’ve found it to be well supported and had no hassles.
