Not many bands have the budget metallica have to hire professionals recording teams for every show, but Metallica has always done good things for the fans, very appreciative of their fans.

It's funny how when Lars hasn't played a certain song in a long time he does his homework and plays it almost note for note like this song. Others that he plays frequently he improvises a lot, and rarely does it sound like the album version. Nice job on this one.
Exactly. And to be fair, I would welcome improvisations on songs we've heard 100 times before live, but Lars consistently proves he doesn't have the chops or feel to make them fit.

Jason's backing vocals is great, but he can't play tallica songs anymore so he can't come back. HOWEVER, Lars might have a shot at bacling vocals if he can sing while playing drums. Yes, Lars can sing.
Struggle needs to absolutely stay in rotation. I’ve seen the boys 34 times to date, and it was definitely a breath of fresh air hearing this in the setlist. (2nd time I’ve seen it live!) Same thing with Misery & Tread. 🤘🤘

I've read this "best they've sounded live like the 80s" stuff under a TON of metallica videos over the years but this is the first time I have to agree - It makes me so deeply happy to see my teenage heroes, the reason why I started playing guitar, getting their stuff sorted out playing tight as ever, not saying they sounded bad live over the last few decades but this stuff that's happening at the moment is just nuts
I hope they add this to their live sets more often, such a kick ass song. They should play the riff at 5:31 at least one more time too. Way too short for being so killer.
Something great about Metallica is that they don't mind "wasting" a killer riff on an eight-bar bridge. They write riffs that could easily base entire songs and fit them all on only one. 😆
Genuinely impressed with James voice here. I know people have been saying he sounds really good now, but this is the first video I’ve seen where he sounds amazing again.
He's been resting for an entire year something him or Metallica isn't exactly used to i guess during 2020 they have been practicing and tying up loose ends in their performance but also maybe they been a bit in the studio getting in great shape to record some new stuff that's been coming from the absence of touring :)
It's a huge relief, because on some of the stuff they released in 2020, even some of the Stern stuff, I thought he sounded awful. I was worried his voice was finally just gone. But this is much better

I think I had Black Album in 1993 on the tape and I was listening to it for one or two years. And I didn't suspect that this album has three additional unbelievable songs! I mean mine black album wasn't a license record and it was just recorded on the one side of 90 minutes tape. So for a long time, I thought it has only 9 songs, and the last one was Of Wolf And Man. And now you can imagine how I was surprised when I have listened to the three last songs! They had been my best songs for a very long time, my friend.
How thrilled I am to see my favorite band playing live today the sound that made me know and love this band thirty years ago... I'm happy to be 41 today and to be enjoying this sound since I was a kid. Thank you Metallica!
The first time I heard Metallica was "phantom Lord" on a Metalblade Records compilation cassette tape in 1983, and I've been a fan ever since. This is probably the tightest I've heard them be in a LONG time. I've been with them through all of their changes, and I'll be with them until I leave this planet... 🤘🤘

It is just ridiculous how people judge Lars as the worst drummer on earth. This show was good and to all these youngsters out there. Drumming has developed to a very technical discipline over the last decade. So Lars comes from an other era and he is not the drummer of a prog band, where he developes new kinds of rhythm all the time. It's Metallica the Thrash Metal Legend. Lars has good composer skills and many of his drum parts and fills fit very good into the songs.
They absolutely sound fantastic right now then not playing a show for this long was probably the best thing that happened to them. The live click track is working wonderful speeds are perfect no rushing no sloppiness it sounds great I can't wait till they are out on tour.
Got to see Metallica twice! Black Album And Justice tour.. Never stopped FEELING IT!!!.. though I wondered what would become of a metal band in their 50s. This just BRINGS THE TRUTH!!! these guys are like a good Rum!!! As they age, they just get more refined!!!

My 2 favourite Metallica songs from that album are The Struggle Within and Don't Tread on Me. I find these 2 really underestimated. For me they are way heavier and interesting than the more famous songs from that album.
