We all wish we were there! It would have been super hard to not go totally NUTS. I would have been bouncing the whole time. LOVEBITES have won the title "Best New Band" at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2018. I agree, they may be the best metal band in the world right now, certainly the best one that was formed in this century.
Thanks for coming back to Lovebites. How do they achieve something like this? In interviews, Midori has said that they write stuff that even they can't play, and then they practice until they can play it flawlessly. Very few people in the world have the courage to approach life like that. It's terrifying to think about what they could be like in three years.
I love that short extra solo that Miyako threw in towards the end there. I love that sort of thing. This is a fantastic song by them and shows how much these ladies have grown. I mean they were already great back in 2017 on their first album, but now they are elite.

The crowd restrictions sucks, the venue limit was down to half because of social distancing and the crowd couldn't scream or cheer, they could only clap. It's government issued rules so they have to respect it, the other option is to cancel the show. Even if the restrictions suck it's still better than not having a show at all! 😄 And by the way LOVEBITES were actually lucky to be able to perform these shows because not long after the last one Japan declared state of emergency again. Man, if these ladies were playing in the 80's when I was in high school, they would have been touring with bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Scorpions, opening or headlining!! Although after hearing these ladies I don't think any of those bands would want to follow Lovebites!! These woman can kick ass with the best of them. Can't wait to see what's next!!
Agree. When I was a kid in the 70's and 80's if this band was out these girls would have Owned MTV and Every Arena you can think of for years. There is only a handful of bands that I can think of as exciting musically and from a performance perspective. Their Music is Brilliant from first note too ending note....no filler , no junk notes everything means something.
They have already achieved that, as far as I am concerned. The biggest problem is: most of the world still doesn't even know about them yet. Wolfpack keeps growing, slowly. Mainly thanks to the internet. When they are able to tour the world.... it's going to be GAME OVER.

COVID has been the only thing to stop this band from total world domination. Someone called them angles on stage during this song.I disagree this is nasty, they are in fact ascending from Hell to burn away all the pretenders, this band plays thrash better LIVE than any other band. Low capacity, no cheering, clapping only and social distance, yet they played as if this was a full arena and they had a crowd of crazy fans clamoring on very note. Again, they continue to get better with every new offering. That new LIVE album is going to be so hot I hope it doesn't ignite during transit.
This band is so perfect. These ladies are on a whole new level when it comes to their instruments. Their guitar sound and tones are a perfect mix for metal. Miyako's Dean guitar has such a rich, melodic tone which makes those solos sound that much better. Midori's ESP sounds just as good.

You pointed out about there is no atmosphere for Lovebites to 'feed' on, the audience were not allowed to cheer but could only clap. Japanese bands that are insane live. : Hardrock: Ningen Isu, Band-Maid. Metal: Galneryus, Unlucky Morpheus, Asterism, Gyze just to mention a few.. But Lovebites reach out more 'couse they sing in english. More and more bands are now subtitles their music on YT. The band all female Bridear starting their European tour here in Stockholm Sweden 28 September but we will see how it goes... Covid sucks!

To me they are the best band. There are a lot of extremely good bands, especially from Japan and all female, but Lovebites is/are on another level. Miyako composed half of the songs, Miho did couple of Trash songs. Basically they all composed few songs. Asami writes most of the lyrics. Miho got the bend together and her vision was to create the best female heavy metal band in existence. No small feat but they actually did that and not only the best female, but for sure mong the greats of all time. Now that Miho left, we'll see how they will continue. Sure, she was integral part, but with so much talent I'm hoping they will continue Miho's legacy and dream.
It’s impossible to fault anything about this masterpiece. The ONLY difference from the studio version is Miyako’s wah-wah solo, which differs slightly in tone. The fan base has been waiting for this track performed live in starved anticipation.. they are the best metal band in a generation. No debate.
Miho Miho Miho! the comment at the end is open to interpretation, yes they are the best Metal Band in the last 10 years (EVER in my opinion) but there are other groups in other Genres that are equal if not better waits for the Hate Band-Maid NOT Heavy Metal or any of the sub-genres but Hard Rock are every bid as innovative and technical as Lovebites but in a different way and style

It’s impossible to fault anything about this masterpiece. The ONLY difference from the studio version is Miyako’s wah-wah solo, which differs slightly in tone. The fan base has been waiting for this track performed live in starved anticipation.. they are the best metal band in a generation. No debate.

Miho Miho Miho! the comment at the end is open to interpretation, yes they are the best Metal Band in the last 10 years (EVER in my opinion) but there are other groups in other Genres that are equal if not better waits for the Hate Band-Maid NOT Heavy Metal or any of the sub-genres but Hard Rock are every bid as innovative and technical as Lovebites but in a different way and style

Try the all female band Burning Witches. They're all female metal band from Switzerland and they kick ass as well. Try the song Hexenhammer or Witch Of the North. They have a great discography as well.

I really rate Lovebites and of course Haruna is an excellent drummer. Now worth listening to Band Maid playing Manners/Black Hole as Akane,the drummer, is a favourite of Jimmy Page !!
