I’m going to follow this project closely, I don’t use Linux yet but I’ve slowly been transitioning all the windows tools to ones available on Linux, and getting familiar with wsl, once I get a few more things down, I’m going to make the switch and hopefully use this 👍
i have a problem, (maybe im just stupid but..) I can't set it up key-bind, on Windows you can assign a keybind directly in Kando, but on hyprland they give you an ID that you have to configure in the hyprland config, but there is no command written anywhere with which I can configure this key-bind.. if you read this comment, I want to ask you to give me a command with which I can make Keybind to open the menu, thanks in advance
It's all documented on the bottom of this page: github.com/kando-menu/kando/blob/main/docs/installing.md Basically you need something like: bind = CTRL, Space, global, kando:
@@simonschneegans (for example) I use Super + X to toggle fullscreen mode for a particular window, but for this to work I need that window to remain active, i.e. focused. When I call the pie menu, the window stays focused, but not until I move the cursor.
@@danizimo Ahh, now I understand. And well, it's not possible to keep input focus in the original window as Kando requires input focus as well. However, the "Simulate Hotkey" item in Kando has an "Execute Delayed" checkbox which you can check to simulate the hotkey after input focus is restored to the previous window.
This is absolutely spectacular! Thank you for sharing!
This looks really good!
Amazing!👏👏👏🎯

Go ahead and use Linux, you will not regret it! But Kando also runs on Windows :D
Awesome!
Wow What about nixos package support?

@@simonschneegans Thanks!
How do you keep window under the cursor active?
Sorry, but I think I do not understand your question. Can you elaborate a bit more?

Nice
VsCode theme?
I think it was the official Catppuccin theme. Maybe the Mocha variant.
I don't think it has such filled side bar icons 🤔
@@kirangeorge8 The icon theme is independent from the color theme. I am using the Material Icon Theme.
@@simonschneegansI think activity bar icon is theme dependent 🤔
No, these are from the Material Product Icons: marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=PKief.material-product-icons
