That is how good the triple option threat is when you have good players than can execute it correctly. There are more teams that have won national championships running the triple option.

@@winstonlewis5630 Takes some educational fortitude to attend Georgia Tech, so it is expected that Tech will not always get the creme of the crop in recruiting. I do believe that Paul Smith is a good coach and it is fun to watch the creativity of the triple option when so many schools now just want to pass the ball.
It is by no means.....boring. It is the way football should be played and it really tests how good an offense or defense is working together as a team, but I realize that everyone has their likes and dislikes. Historically, most college football teams that have run the option have the most national championships. Now that really says something about how effective the triple option threat is. Bear Bryant switched to the wishbone offense to resurrect the Alabama football program and went 106-13-1 over a decade winning eight SEC championships and 3 national championships.
