    Is everyone just gonna ignore the hyper rare safety to free kick return touchdown + 2 point conversion? Has that ever happened before?

    What happens if you run a play on a free kick instead(pass or run)? Is there a penalty for that?

    • @gagejernigan5277
      @gagejernigan5277 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is extremely late but no you can’t run a play like that on a free kick, it’s essentially a kickoff awarded to the other team after scoring a safety, idk if you’re allowed to onside kick after a safety though, that’s interesting

    I have to question the play calling in overtime. Just stupid play calling, gt hasn't stopped the pass all day throw the ball.

    Another thing, the Techies that want to point out the rain being a factor. Just remember Reggie Ball throwing it away on 4th down in a rainy performance in Athens in 2004. The score was 19-13 at the time with a little over 30 seconds to go... Biggest meltdown I've ever seen in MY LIFE, other than Super Bowl 51 ofcourse, and I got to witness it at Sanford Stadium. How did this idiot gain entry into Tech if your engineers are so brilliant? Never forget 4th and 21. LOL. That's way worse than 2nd and 26 if you ask me. Your QB and team leader making the most bone-headed decision you can possibly make in the biggest rivalry game (and only rivalry game that Tech has I might add) for Georgia Tech. They apparently don't teach you geniuses how to count to 4 at The Georgia Institute of Cosmetology do they? Y'all will definitely need some make-up for that black eye come Saturday.

    This Georgia Tech secondary is in for a rude awakening against UGA's receivers...LOL. Who is going to cover Mecole Hardman? Isaac Nauta, who is a total mismatch for your guys? Jeremiah Holloman? I'm sorry but Tech's defense is in for a LONG day. I could see Tech's offense getting between 20-30 points, but it won't matter. UGA's front seven isn't nearly as good as last year's, but it won't matter. UGA will get 30-40 points on Tech. LSU was the only team to go toe-to-toe with our offensive line and come out victorious, and Tech doesn't have the front 7 to come close to comparing with LSU. UGA will win this game any way they need to, as proven this year in the Kentucky, Auburn, Florida, and Mizzou games. The Mizzou and UF games UGA was able to win through the air. The Auburn and Kentucky games UGA was able to run over the opposition on the ground. UGA's balance on offense is what is going to give Tech fits. Tech could get 300 yards on the ground, and I still feel like UGA wins by 10 points. Tech's defense will be a glaring weakness. It would be nice if you idiots could quit settling for 7-8 win seasons every year. It's disgusting. 8 wins in College Football is pretty easy to come by. This isn't the NFL where you are facing phenomenal talent every week. You don't play Alcorn State, The Citadel, or UMass in the NFL, which is why I say 7-8 wins means nothing. For some reason GT fans accept and enjoy 7-8 win seasons and a meaningless bowl without winning their division. Just curious why continuing to fail goals like Tech does warrants them keeping CPJ. I mean, if you don't win your division, isn't that a failure? Tech has not won their division two years in a row, and yet you idiots are still happy with CPJ... Unbelievable. Well, I hope UGA knocks GT into oblivion but it may be only a two score game considering the circumstances, as Tech's offense and our mediocre front 7 keep it closer than talent would expect. UGA 38, GT 24.

      @joshuasimmons8160 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Gtftw1 _ just so you know not every team in CFB would take 8 wins. Lol 8 wins is a joke. You play to win the game. To win conference and national championships. So 7-8 wins is a failure.

    • @justinrampley4834
      @justinrampley4834 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Gtftw1 _ Failure is not far from mediocrity my friend. 8 wins is not bad, but it also isn't impressive. Also, I'm fairly certain teams play to win their division right? If you haven't done that two seasons in a row, shouldn't there be chatter that your coach should be replaced. The FIRST goal for any team should be to win their division. The problem with Tech is that they could potentially recruit against Clemson, UGA, Alabama, Auburn, FSU, Miami, but they refuse to take a risk. UGA took a risk and it is paying off already. They replaced a guy who wasn't winning the division/conference lately that won 9-10 games a year with an unproven coach and it's worked out pretty well so far. The question is why does Tech settle for mediocrity? There was a time when Tech was pretty close to equals with UGA not too long ago, but that doesn't happen very often anymore. UGA fans would like Tech to be a better football team so that this rivalry meant something. The rivalry has lost the luster it once had due to Georgia Tech. Now it's David vs. Goliath instead of Goliath vs. Goliath. The service academy crap has to stop if Tech is going to do anything significant. Right now all your program is about is beating Georgia. I'm sorry, but that seems a little silly to only have that goal all year. It's almost like beat UGA and we can go 6-6. It is almost like your fans and program don't want to raise expectations and want to bathe in mediocrity and I find it disgusting. I don't know if I would want to root for a program that said "Good Enough". Tech's program historically is above Duke, UNC, Pitt etc.. but you are currently on par with these types of programs and typically have been under CPJ.

    Bobby Dodd stadium plays their music too loud. The seats are always empty. The reason why they play the music so loud is because, it makes the stadium feel louder but really the atmosphere is dead. When the Nerds come into Athens they will see a real atmosphere of 92k fans. I mean Tech rode the struggle bus to something called Virginia lol. UGA will have a field day with Tech.
