Not sure if you noticed, but Theo, the therapist in The Silent Patient, makes a brief appearance in The Maidens. He was a classmate of Mariana’s and pops up in the last half of the book. She, in fact, recommends that he apply for the position at the Grove.

For anyone wanting to read the wives: If you're struggling with infertility or miscarriage I wouldn't recommend it. She describes how it feels with this trauma so well, and it's brought up throughout the book. I liked the story, but it was very difficult to get through.

If you’re looking for thrillers, I can’t recommend Shari Lapena’s books enough! They are so fast-paced that you will read them in a sitting! So so good! As always, loved your video!

👻👻👻I loved the music in your video. This video was very well done. I watched til the end…hence the ghost emoji. I read The Wives and gave it a 4 star. I hated the protagonist because of her insecurities. I read the Guest List and gave it a 5 star. I did not like the bullies either but I pushed through it and read the whole thing and was so glad I did. The imagery in the book made me feel like I was there. Great thriller. I have not read the other books you talked about. I follow you on goodreads and I love ❤️ your channel. Have a great day!

I loved Hamnet, I was going to get you the UK hardback last year because it's GORGEOUS, but couldn't find it on Blackwells and Waterstones said they don't ship to PO boxes :(

Ahhh, yes! The pairing of Mrs. Dolloway & The Hours is something that I want to do too! I saw the movie ofThe Hours when I was younger…so now I need to read the book. I didn’t like the characters in The Guest List either. 😂😂😂 I finished it…but I liked The Hunting Party better too. I know it sounds funny to say about a thriller…but The Guest List was a bit too dark for me because of the characters & situations. I think it’s because it was a wedding atmosphere…but it was depressing to see this couple try to get married & these people come together. I like how she writes the multiple perspectives & the build up with her timelines tho. I’ve been wanting to read The Wives. It gets such mixed reviews so I wonder where I will fall.
