Breen made it clear at the Estonia Rally that the car is incredibly controllable now. Toyota also became controllable after the arrival of Tänak. At M-Sport, Ogier did not let anyone test the car before him. When Tänak arrived, he started doing it instead of Ogier. There is no doubt that Tänak is the best pilot at the moment who can work with engineers and build a car better than its competitors. In an interview Mäkkinen said that they changed Evans' driving style with the Yaris, not the other way around. Guess what, he got Tänaks car. This year and maybe even next year the Yaris will be competitive with the i20, but not longer. I'm sure of it.

I think he work quite close with the engineer and doing his homework, but don't understate Thierry's role. 2017... that year should be Thierry's crowned year. He set the pace since Monte... but crashing, bad luck is part of the game and dont forget how competitive i20 in 2018 and 2019. So do you think that Thierry win in Monte this year is because of Ott start developing i20. Ogier is 4 times Champions in 2017.. you brought a champion to your team to win a championship, so that car should be develop based on you. What I read is, Evans start doind his own set up on Yaris. However, good machine control instills confidence in the pilot, which gives him a better advantage to go through faster corners. Therry can't compete on all tracks, so he can't develop cars to compete at all stages.
I’m new to WRC but have always admired the series, as I’m a racer. Kalle got a 60 second penalty for removing his “radiator blanking plate”, or so I should say his co pilot did. They got penalized because there are specific places where you are allowed to make such changes. Apparently the co-driver just forgot to remove the plate earlier and no advantage was gained by leaving it on longer, but it had to be removed or the car would've overheaded on the following stage.
I bought a month of WRC+ and cancelled it after a couple of hours. Not nearly as much there as I hoped. I will still be able to watch Finland in snow, but you get almost all of here for free.
I sometimes wonder why our gov is pushing to build new circuit for MotoGP rather than use the north Sumatra rally stage that's proven in APRC, our national rally championship, and even world championship in 90's to WRC

I remember hyundai back in 2015 was a backmarker team but now, they are a championship contender team. What a progress
I remember them in 2003 when they were just filler what a progress indeed.
I mean Hyundai is a championship contender since 2016 to be fair. In 2017 no one could beat Neuville with pure speed.

No idea.
It was probably developed in 2019 when they had the schedule that we should've gotten (pre-covid).
oh idk.. maybe because the event was only confirmed like less than three months ago (July 2nd)? :D
They clarified already that WRC9 has the calender in its pre corona version.
