Happy Birthday, Brent! We’ve never had anything but great experiences with the food at WBG, but the service has had some big issues as of late. Hopefully they get it all straightened out, because we really think it’s THE hidden gem in the area. Would hate to see people give up and stop going because of the service. Great work as always, friends, you guys are awesome!

You know we love West By God Pizza. However, on our last visit our pizza was beyond charred. When we said something to the waiter he was like it's coalfired and we can't control that. Of course our pizzas in the past have never been like that and the people that we were with on that day did not have pizza like that. We were disappointed in the response. We have always loved eating here and still think it's the best pizza in The Smokies. We will definitely have to try the coal dust next time. The pepperoni rolls are soooo good there.
As we were watching the video and the go-kart track came up, David, Carly and I started to laugh. On our one trip there David got a go-kart that was so slow. Everyone was lapping him. I'm dying laughing as I film him because I know he is not happy. He said his lawn mower would have been faster. 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks so much for sharing another great video and your honesty! Sorry that the service was not what it should have been towards the end. The response that your server has to pick up her niece is about on the same level as they can't control burning a pizza. Businesses don't mind giving an excuse. We met the owner before and he is super nice and professional. I don't see him thinking that these responses would be acceptable for his employees to give to customers. I love this place and would like for it to stay around and continue to serve delicious food with good service.

We're very sorry to hear that you had that experience the last time that you were here. From some of the comments on here and a couple of comments that we received in messenger, it sounds like they definitely need to re-focus on customer service here. We've met the co-owner, Ben, and we agree - it would be difficult for us to believe that he would allow less than stellar service, but I wonder if he's aware of it. That's too funny about David's go-kart and him saying that his lawn mower would've gone faster. Have y'all ever been to the Nascar Speedpark in Pigeon Forge? We recently visited there and we thought about y'all since we know that y'all love Nascar. We hope that you have an amazing week ahead and thank you for the birthday wishes.
I appreciate your transparency on the service - we know restaurants can’t control the pricing as much but the excuses for less than ideal service are getting thin now - time for the service industry to shine!

We have watched like 10 videos of this place and still have never been! We always forget. We ate at Azul up there last weekend and thought it was good.

I think I will order one to go when I come down. There is no excuse for not having someone to take over. Sounds like she was mad that the boys got two refills. It's kids...it's what they do. And if that makes you mad you need to find another line of work.

Oh my goodness! All looks so good! Never heard of this place ..thank you...I know it now! I think the Fire cooked is the BEST pizza ! The boys reviews are always the BEST! They remind me of my grand babies! I'm with Jennifer give us some more sweet tea to finish our meal!!! Tea is so cheap to make! Still interested. It is a good idea to make management aware of service!
We are with you, Kim. We love the coalfire pizza. Have you ever been to Grimaldi's? It's our all time favorite pizza restaurant. We read your comment to the boys and they said, thank you. After reading some of the comments about others who have received poor service here, we are definitely considering reaching out to the owner to inform him so that he can hopefully take action to resolve the poor service that people seem to be having. We ate there at the end of February and we noticed the service was not as good as our previous visits. The food was good but the service was not. Hopefully they get it back on track. Labor is a big issue everywhere in today's world. Happy Belated Birthday!

Pizza looks amazing. Just as I'm trying to drop 30 pounds in preparation for Mount LeConte 2024 you go and lead me into temptation 🙂. We ate there last summer because of a video one of you guys posted. All restaurants have a bad day here and there. We were eating at a Steak and Shake once and the waitress took our order and we didn't see anyone for about 45 minutes. Turns out that she took our order then quit.. lol. We're always polite so I can't think of any way we offended her. That was an interesting experience. Have a good weekend. Happy special occasion!!
If you like coalfired pizza, y'all will really enjoy West by God. That's awesome that you're going to climb Mount LeConte again. We enjoyed watching your journey to the top the last time you climbed it. This pizza will definitely be a good reward for climbing it. We just wish that our waitress or someone who worked at the restaurant would've informed us and the other tables that she leaving. That's wild that your waitress at Steak and Shake just quit in the middle of her shift. It seems like finding excellent service is becoming increasingly more difficult nowadays. @EveryDayIsSaturdayTV We try to get LeConte reservations on our anniversary every year. This year is 15 years and the LeConte Lodge's 100th year in operation. Got a new titanium knee for the journey and I'm ready to hike (almost) 🙂.

That food looked so good. I’m a sweet tea drinker and would have been very disappointed not to get a refill. My daughter will mention a restaurant and I say they don’t have good sweet tea. That will make or break a restaurant for me. I’m so glad that Jennifer always mentions the sweet tea!

Thank you, Deb! Yes - they also have axe throwing here. We did some axe throwing in our initial video at West By God but just had supper on this trip.
