- Welcome back to my knitting channel! In this week's episode, I’m sharing some recently finished gift knits, including a cozy dog sweater that my pup will be wearing, and a knitted stuffed animal with accessories. I’ll also give you an update on my cardigan progress and share some exciting future knitting plans!
I’m diving into quick and easy gift knits, perfect for holiday gift-giving. I’ll also be showcasing some pattern alternatives to inspire your next project. Plus, I’ll chat about the yarn I’m using for my cardigan-did you know that the color “coquicilot” is French for poppy?
For those who are curious, I’ll share what I’m wearing today: my Ferda Genser by Anna and Heidi pickles, made with a beautiful fingering weight yarn advent from Sweet Nestings. You won’t want to miss the details of this cozy and colorful knit.
In addition, I’ll share some of what I’ve been watching and listening to lately, including Lost, the movie Uglies, and Moana 2. I’ve also been enjoying some thought-provoking audiobooks like Uglies by Scott Westerfeld and Society of Lies by Lauren Ling Brown. And for all you Gilmore Girls fans, I’m about to dive into the book by Kelly Bishop, the third Gilmore girl who played one of my favorite characters, the grandmother.
Before we wrap up, don’t forget to sign up for my email newsletter for even more gift ideas and knitting inspiration! Plus, tell me-who is the hardest person to shop for in your family? Let me know in the comments!

Hey bestie please watch to the end I want to hear from you about a future video
Omggg, I am also watching Lost right now! I think I only made it through the second season when it first came out, because my daughter was born and I stopped watching tv, lol! I’m in season 5 right now.
Thanks for the tip on the good dog sweater pattern!
Love your style. The Pac-Man/stocking mash up is genius! I may have to “borrow” that idea for my husband.
A few years ago we decided to only do presents for the kids. If I find something I really like for someone I get it but otherwise I dont worry about gift giving. My family does white elephant for xmas so I always get something food related. Like a glass marinating dish with a lid, a basing brush and kitchen towel as one thing. I have a big foodie family. I finished DK socks for my husband and they are SO perfect! Its Stephen West's scrappy socks in dk. I juat started a pair for my youngest to match dad. He is 100% dad's dude. I'm also almost done after 4 days making Andre Mowry's everyday cowl. I'm using fingering held double. One strand of solid black and a black and purple/fuscia zauberball that I got in NOLA like 10 years ago. Not joking. I already want to make another one in just black. The cold wind the past week in Chicago has me nervous that its gonna be a rough winter and I get too much of a breeze at the neck of my coat and if I put a shawl on and its too windy I'll drop it and be sad. 😢 so....MORE cowls!!!!
Hi Lauryn! Definitely, my husband is the hardest person to find gifts for! Suggestions welcome. ❤
I'm definitely going to try that dog sweater - my daughter has been asking me to make one for her dog for a while. And I would absolutely watch a gift inspired video - my son who is 31 is the hardest to buy for. He does not want clothes, very picky about tools and house things so I'm always stumped.
Stephanie what a “lucky dog” it’s really a quick knit and your daughter will love it! Thank you for watching to the end! 🖤
I think it’s so smart how you did the sweater the way you did the repeats. Your so smart! I need to do a dog sweater for my dog. She is 50 lbs. I will check out your pattern.
@@judygrayson7896 thank you! The dog sweater is by chest circumference and is knit from the bottom up so you could add more increases if needed the make a sweater larger 🖤
I just finished listening to The Third Gilmore Girl- I really loved it, especially the stories about A Chorus Line ❤ As for the gift suggestions, I always need ideas for guys' gifts- from right out of college to older. I find all their options so boring; pass along any ideas!
I split for sleeve on my yellow Purl Soho Hedgerow Eva and now it feels a lot less endless to get through a row! (But still pretty long)
The hardest person to get gifts for is my dad’s wife. She will never tell anyone what she wants and claims she doesn’t want anything 😂
I'll have to go look at those cardigan patterns. My goal next year is to try double-knitting....so I'm going to hunt for a pattern with a button-band that is double-knit
I suggest the champagne cardigan by petiteknit it has a double button band and I love mine
Definitely my husband is the hardest to buy for. He gets what he wants himself and makes it difficult to shop for him.
Hey for your dog low blood sugar could be the reason why he’s so cold make sure he’s eating enough lol❤
That material is called kapok. It used to be used instead of feathers in pillows but so many people are allergic to that it went into disuse. I used to be an upholsterer in the 1970s and 80. I only found kapok in 1920 or 30s upholstery. Really awful stuff.
