    Great very informative video! Note on ECO-COMPLETE!!
    I use Eco-Complete in some of my planted tanks ( Low-Tech - Low Light ). From the info I have gathered about it, it isn't a nutritional substrate but it has a very high CEC value. Which means it sucks the nutrients from the water column and holds them in for plant roots. So you are supposed to dose with fertilizer/root tabs. Which I use both. It is best used in Low-Tech - Low Light tanks. Hope this helps!

    In the 20...those bubbles. So fantastic 👏👏. Vital tabs are fantastic. Besides rhizome plants, I agree - less liquid ferts, more root tabs 👍. Better plant growth, less algae. All great beginning plants. Well done as always, Shelia. A very blessed holiday season to you and yours! 🎅🌲

    What brand of sand do you think is good? (doesn't make a lot of mess in the water) I want to put some cory cats in a planted community tank so I need something fine and comfortable for them. (i'll be using root tabs instead of something like fluval stratum) A brand that sells both white and black sand would be great if you have any reccomendations!

    • @Lifewithpets72
      @Lifewithpets72  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We use National Geographic from petsmart. It doesn't make a mess in the tank and needs very little cleaning. We use it in several of our tanks and have the black and white.

    • @Lifewithpets72

      It pulls the nutrients from the water column. You can add fertilizer to the tank if you’d like but I don’t.

    • @Lifewithpets72

      We don’t use co2 in our tanks. We use a sponge filter in our tanks this adds the bubbles to the tanks.

    I know anubias is suppose to take nutrients from the water column but will they still take the nutrients from the substrate? Some of the nana on my driftwood have their roots grown well into the substrate which is flourite black and I ordered seachem’s root tabs for my dwarf hairgrass and baby dwarf tears. Just want to know if I can get extra value from these expensive tabs lol.

    Hi. I've been seeing varying reports on the Amazon Swords. Some people say they'll get to big for anything smaller than 30 gallon. (I'm in a 10g) Can you control the size by cutting them back, or tear them out if they get too large? Have you any issues with them outgrowing your tank?
