  • “The Butterfly Effect”, first proposed by Edward Lorenz to map the weather, is a simple philosophy that every step taken in this world starts a domino effect in its own regard. It is simply scientific evidence to prove the fact that nothing that ever happens is irrelevant- it could lead to unimaginable consequences. There are many lessons from history to learn in this regard- How did a sandwich lead to the two world wars? How did a bunch of clouds lead to the atomic bombing of Nagasaki? And how are solar storms and sperm whales connected? It is hard to place faith in a theory sounding so far-fetched; but then again, this will be a speech about taking the plunge. Vrinda Gupta a Grade 11 student at Lancers International School has a great passion for public speaking. She is a strong believer in the power of words and therefore believes TEDx to be the perfect platform to put up her ideas. She hopes to motivate people through her TED Talk, and for that reason she has chosen a topic that will hopefully strike a chord with anyone who has ever felt that they are unimportant. She also hates writing about herself in the third person. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Butterfly Effect is real but lets accept it that it has nothing to do with Good or Bad deeds. We can't start any new sequence of events as we are already part of a sequence. Our every action will lead to something but not necessarily a good deed would eventually lead to something good. There's nothing such as Good or Bad when it comes to the nature of our universe's existence. Our actions are limited only to defining our own built society, not the Universe. Universe is on auto-pilot and we are part of it. 🙏

    1. Invent time machine.
    2. Travel to 23rd century.
    3. Invent probability changing machine to make probability certain that butterfly effect is impossible forever.

In an emergency situation , there are two hospitals near my area. While my mom collapsed , i unknowingly took her to a non stroke ready hospital. Later she was completely paralyzed and passed away. This is the only one incident that changed my whole life. Be careful about decisions while in emergency.

Yes, every choice you make, ignites a butterfly effect.

That's a misconception. We are already part of the Butterfly Effect. We don't start or ignite any new sequence of the butterfly effect.
