    You said "but" a lover of money, instead of "not" a lover of money. Still a good message 🙏

    Sounds like you and your Dad have a good relationship. I'm sorry for this couple, they must have been hurt by either the pastor or by someone else, someone in a high position there. My Mom had to have emergency surgery when she and Dad were first married. The church secretary reminded them that a vow made to give so much money to the church had not been honored, apparently made no comment on the fact that Mom almost died. I pray that people can move on, reject the hurt and let God heal them. Thank you Pastor.❤️🙏🙏🌲🏞️

    I’ve really struggled with being under judgmental leadership that focuses on “belonging by works/involvement in the church”. Seeking where God wants me to invest my time and energy, I do want to serve in the places I’m meant to, but the dictation of the leadership has made me feel extremely unwelcome and unwanted. This has been my family church for years and circumstances make it my only in-person option. I know that God desires peace and unity in the body- and I desire to have a firm enough foundation in what God says to stand under the judgement of others. However this becomes complicated/challenging/hurtful/wearing when it is the leader who is being oppressive… I would appreciate any prayer or biblical advise you have to offer.

    I think sometimes ppl put their pastors on such a high pedestal and subconsciously view them as Jesus. Anything they do short of what Jesus would do, they’re out of there and on to the next church.

    I was actually kicked out by both of my pastors for trying to speak truth to power. The first church was because I saw and felt the racism emanating from everyone there and the pastor, and the pastor brought up the whole how can we make this church better, and I told them that they should stop being racist, then they can grow their church more. So the pastor told me to tell the whole congregation that I was wrong and I would repent for hurting the feeling of the church, or I was no longer welcome there. So I just walked out, I didn't know that my walking out cause all of the Asian and non-Whites who came after me to leave the church too, and so I was blamed for splitting the church. The second church I was kicked out for telling the head of the greeting team that they should shape up because you can't just come 5 minutes before the church start and start setting up the greeting table, and then blame me, when they come in have everything was set up and I was greeting early birds to the church. The head greeter got in my face about it, and I kind of pushed back, and the pastor chose the head greeter who was white, then me. I left the church, and never came back, but some who were impress by my faithfulness to the greeting team took up where I left off. In both church, I was not a member, or I would have been kicked out much earlier, I believe, and in both churches I was there for 5 years volunteering where they needed help. The church I am in now, I want to become a member, but their membership classes are alway set out of my time schedule, so I haven't been, but I still go regularly.

    I feel like I got kicked out of a Assembly of God Church because of the way God came into my life. The pastor was young, he started having a problem with me after I offered testimony to him. I had a Spiritual Awakening from the steps of Alcohol Anonymous, after the fith step. But the initial evidence of the Baptism in the Holly Spirit was not speaking in tongues. The initial evidence was the Kingdom of God and the Spiritual Gift of Discerning spirits by sight. It didn't match what he was taught in bible School.

    No, I can't. Because yes I can trust God, but no I can't trust a pastor anymore. There's always that look, that judgement, too many who have done wrong to others and me unapologetically. I don't want "forgiveness" for them, I want justice for what's been done. Most churches are so quick to point fingers at their own followers first before even glancing at what the pastor had done. They can always get more followers, more people to donate... so I'm sorry, but more of them need to be held accountable THEN forgiven.

    I’m with the guy. A pastor is just a man. Respect is given if respect is deserved. Get over yourself. You’re living off the people. Using Jesus for a business.

    Let me just add, pastors need to listem not always be heard. God sent that older couple to your church and you made it like you have some kind of entitlement over your father. Then you read the message outloud.
    Children, no matter how old they are or their position in life, need to know their place. "The overseer" is any person who oversees another. Fathers and mothers oversee their children.
    These pastors need to tread lightly. Everyone wants to play god.

      You got it, 'children obey your parents', fathers and mother's oversee their children not their adult offspring.

    How do I leave if the pastor is my father?

    • @FaithOverSight2
      @FaithOverSight2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure to listen to the voice of God. Don't be harsh to go and make decisions on impulse. Ask God where He wants you to be and be sure to listen to His voice, not your own thought
