I was diagnosed this past June 2022. I am still going to several doctors and I have taken several ultrasounds to determine if there are any major problems. I have been suffering from the symptoms for around 10 or more years but 3 years ago I was told I had type 2 diabetes and last Christmas I became sick with a cold. Then I got Covid in January and the cold symptoms never left. The list of symptoms was very long and at one point I didn’t see me living very long due to the about of pain and fatigue I was going through. I have been doing the blood draws since July and I am currently doing them every week to the point I am now anemic.
When this started out my Ferritin was over 1400 and as of last week my Ferritin was down to 600. The doctors goal is 50, lol. My hemoglobin level was at around 10 so almost passing out has become normal it seems. They have started giving me fluids while drawing the blood. This week I see the doctor to discuss maybe longer intervals between draws to help my hemoglobin numbers go back up. This week I should have the results of my ultrasounds back and I am praying there is no major damage. I am also praying that this can be controlled and I can have a somewhat normal life. Over the past year it has caused many sick days off work and a lot of stressful days.
Compared to a year ago I feel 1000 times better. The phlebotomies have worked wonders! I could go on about all the symptoms that have all together disappeared. The one weird symptom that comes and goes is the taste of “iron” in my mouth. It’s like eating a raw steak.
Thanks for the video. I have thought about making a video for my channel to let my subscribers in on my condition. I will link this video in my video if I decide to make one.
    Thanks again.

Hey. I was reading your comment. Was wondering what types of symptoms did you have. I been diagnosed with high ferritin levels this year it’s goes up and down and now back up. Had to switch doctors because the last one wasn’t helpful

@@jhunnelmina223 always tired, pain in my joints, constant keep sinus infections, high blood pressure in my lungs and even the taste of iron in my mouth. My need doctor is drawing blood once a week until my ferritin numbers get down to 50. Having my blood drawn once a week has its own side effects but overall I am feeling 1000 times better.

@@jhunnelmina223 the reason why your numbers are up and down could be from the iron at is stored in your tissue/organs. As they draw blood it brings down your ferritin numbers but as your body makes new blood it starts pulling the ferritin, iron out of issues. So your numbers go back up. It’s called saturation. What are you ferritin numbers?

Please revise the idea that women cannot be effected by HH after 50. By then it’s too late. I was diagnosed at 41 with a lot of pushing my doctors to figure out why I had so much chronic pain. THAT is the first symptom. Unexplained chronic pain? Check the ferritin and transferrin saturation levels! $30 lab test could have saved me from barking up the wrong tree all these years.
