boomers truly got to experience the best time to work in the business world. world economy still fairly flush with cash, and all business (and the world in general) still operating by 30 year old rules and customs from the 50's, but with the convenience of modern emerging technologies that were ripe for the using for that extra edge, as most had not caught on to alot of it yet, and it had not taken over every facet of our lives yet. you could have the convenience and magic of a personal computer and cellular phone, but without being connected 24/7 to everyone else and everything else.

They weren't. It's just that society was functional. Society being functional made life a hell of a lot more complicated and a hell of a lot more fast paced. Now, like the other guy said, everyone is just locked down on their phone playing pretend.

The sheer happiness and carefreeness when gazing at the blue sky in the midst of the day when lying on the beach with your friends. Highy lovely mid 80s sound there, representing a indeed a more simple time.
There was nothing simple about the 80s. This isn't the sound of carefree. This is the sound of a big money making dude in the fast lane who can't stop making business deals even in the pool while his gf gives him a look like "really?"

Like the whole 80s night, wear legwarmers and wigs thing seemed reflect that. Vaporwave isn't exactly new, but what is new is seeing like 10 comments on every video talking about how the 80s was "an simpler time". Seems like a zoomer thing and it's fascinating because I can't figure out where they're getting it from. The only thing I can figure is that right now society is falling apart and they're looking back and assuming that functional means easier.
