I have to apreciatte the great work both zajef and the editor put in the videos. The mechanics of the character are super well explained, and the information get condensed in a very comprehensible way. Besides, the information that is in screen helps a lot when zajef is talking stuff like combos, which is a bit difficult to imagine, but you find a way to help to follow the flow of the conversation. Thanks for all the work that you do to the genshin comunnity, and to me to understand stuff that very often is overlooked, even if it is super interesting and helpful
That's just a problem way back even before cyno, both ayato and hu tao had this level of resistance in interuption. The only thing is both ayato and hu tao execute their combo way faster and easier than cyno.
Is his current hyperbloom teams actually much stronger than his aggravate team, or is it overperforming because the current abyss buff buffs hyperbloom teams a lot skewing his damage in the abyss for HB comps
@@ATNtalk Even in overworld it's better in my opinion. I managed to beat Masanori and different domains faster than when u do aggravate comps. The thing with aggravate imo is that it's a bit inconsistent and very focused on one enemy, but hyperbloom team could fix that since it's more consistent. I use Xingqiu and Beidou together which helps Cyno from interruption, plus the fact that their ult is long enough to complete Cyno's ult rotation (although not as long compared to Cyno's ult), if we compare that to Fischl's Oz, well her bird has shorter duration.
@@ATNtalk Hyperbloom have higher floor but lower ceiling. In general I think it's still better compared to aggravate because Cyno multiplier is quite low.

My grain of sand about Cyno: Tbf Cyno feels more comfortable to use with Skyward Spine, the energy recharge might seems like it doesn't do anything for him but oh boy this desert wolf boi depends so much in his Burst, besides the attack speed and little crit rate + he being actually able to proc the polearm passive (unlike Raiden 🙄) makes him a very competent user of the Skyward Spine over Staff of Homeless, I tried him with Homa with single target DPS testing and due to the attack speed he manages to destroy everything way more with SS than SoH and getting his Burst every rotation. So far he is rn my most powerful unit in terms of stats alone, outputing my C1 Staff of Homeless Who Tao, Wanderer, Yoimiya and even my very first 5* C1 Keqing but he definitely is weaker than C2 Hyper Carry Raiden, Raiden + Eula, Hyperbloom Kuki or even Nahiyu. Very powerful with Nahida and super destructive with hyperbloom but it is true that in multiwave the new enemies that aren't marked by Nahida's Skill does feel limiting with Cyno's Burst uptime. Cyno requires quite the setup for optimal usage, he is usually so powerful that by the time my XQ, Nahida's combo setup finishes the enemies are already dead for Cyno not even caring to use his Burst, is like using Ganyu with Amo bow but with more steps in the overworld. Ironically a low invested pure EM Hyperbloom Kuki with Nahida beats him in AoE, comfort and DPS, my C0 Cyno is only good rushing against single bosses.
I used him a lot with Skyward and it's definitely pretty good, but the big chunk of extra DMG i got since i switched to White Tassel compensated everything
Minor criticism: If it wouldn't be too bothersome, it would be nice if there was a way to differentiate the audio from the OG video and the new video, since I (and other viewers) watch videos while doing other things, and it's really hard to keep up with what's on going based on audio alone. I think one of the things Zajef missed/didn't mention with Nahida in Cyno teams is that Nahida doesn't work against multiwave content in Cyno teams. Since her dendro app is tied to a status on the enemy that's applied via E, if new enemies spawn, you don't have that dendro app before you swap back to Nahida, in which case your cyno uptime is fucked. You know who doesn't have the problem of not being able to swap to Nahida to refresh the status? KeqSpoon

having a thundering fury character in the game gave me so much joy i instantly pulled. cyno is a really fun unit, probably only second to the fun i had when i got kazuha way back in 1.6
To this day TF hyperbloom Cyno is still my best single target team, he gets so many procs of his E that i can literally obliterate any boss in a matter of seconds. Just use him with Xinqiu+Beidou and all his interruption/healing problems are solved

@@herrscherofthunder1239 playing thundering fury is a pain in the ass. If the enemy just moves out of the way or if you get interrupted ONCE you're gonna deal no dmg. It's such a stressful way to play cyno, stick to GD.
Cyno is a hero for end game player, i got yae and raiden so i don't really need him but for the fun factor is worth to actually get him if you like electro char

he’s cool and badass with a decent dmg. the only thing he needs to improve his dmg more are supports that really catered for his kind of playstyle and ill wait for them 😁
Ehh, I know from the optimal 1% meta standpoint he's not great, but at least I'm not falling asleep when doing his combos and his design is sick. I'll just drop other meta characters if something needs to die.
Honestly his c1 and c2 should've been base part of his kit. He would still be worse than Raiden, but at least he would feel worth getting if you already own a Keqing.

Me too, before finding Zajef I just straight up didn't watch much Genshin content on TH-cam cause there's hardly anyone on here who knows the game's combat as well as he does
I tried using TF, but the timing was too stressful, plus i dont have Zhongli and my beidou still needs built, so i resorted to using GD and i honestly love it, im finding it more fun, and its doing more damage than my TF set, plus, with TF you NEED to constantly be proccing reactions, if Quicken disappears, your dmg drops so much more drastically, which i didnt like. Also using GD over glad caus eif i have a hydro in my team, thats more hyperbloom dmg and electro charged dmg, so i like that too Thats just my opinion ofc
this was my experience too pretty much. staying on top of the tf rotation is waaayyy more energy than i’m willing to expend on a game with no endgame content, gd does the job fine. i pulled for the aesthetic, not the numbers.
TF should stand for Theory Fury. It sounds good on paper and *can* be good in certain scenarios for Cyno… but it’s so scuff that you’re better off not sweating with it and use Gladiator or Gilded.
People who much like gilded over TF are usually Cynomains with his weapon and quickbloom team. It feel so much better like he was designed for it. I hope I can replace 2nd electro with 2nd dendro in future.
I'm using TF for him, and I ended up unintentionally with C1 for him. His timings are so completely jank with the not always consistent TF procs and random delays due to chasing enemies and the like, plus his attack speed boost... But holy ef I'm having a lot of fun, it feels like every fight ends up more dynamic and adjusting how I slap my E's in can legit make my damage better compared to whiffing it. It's almost like artificial difficulty due to the otherwise preventable loss in damage, but that makes it somehow more satisfying to play on an account that hardly faces much challenge clearing content. Keqing may be more consistent but mashing through the same rotation with no variation and not really any payoff for 'doing it right' over bumbling just isn't as fun. Heck, the better I play Cyno the less fun I have in a weird way, because enemies die too quickly ; P Still fun popping endseer pointlessly three times after everything has been eradicated in overworld exploration
Despite managing to 36* abyss with aggravte cyno quite easily, I still wasn't pleased with his damage compared to.. well, every other dps I have, including freakin Kaeya (at least he is C6), so I went for C2 and his damage is much better, now he's on the same level as Xiao, Itto or Ayato at C0, yay :/
The further we get into the video, the more copium is huffed. No, not Cyno copium. It's... Thundering Fury copium. It hurts to see Zajef looking dead like that. Hope you can recover, man.
I think one thing that's not mentioned in the vid about his teams is that he can also run a Quickbloom-Fridge team with DMC, Yelan and Diona (preferably C6). Line up your rotations correctly and Diona's 12s Burst ends at roughly the same time as Yelan and DMC's Bursts while also reducing the hydro application from Yelan's Burst, which maintains the Quicken aura even more and allows you to keep using your White Tassel. The constant Electrocharge/Superconduct/Aggravate/Hyperblooms also makes it easier to proc TF's set bonus based from my experience in using it, and you can get away with 120% ER if you run Fav on Yelan and DMC.
I’ve been so conflicted on whether or not to pull him. His gameplay looks so fun, but the damage he does and the teams he needs, I can’t justify pulling when I have a well built raiden. Sadge

Based I pulled Cyno because I love his design and playstyle, I've reached a state of enlightenment and have transcended the gacha, I pull what I feel like pulling regardless of what happens Now I just wish Hoyo can focus on improving the action open world RPG aspects of the game, which is the main gameplay loop of the fuckin gacha, and further incentivizing it and how all we do is either raising characters, doing challenges, or designing our teapots

Do it. Most fun character in the game imo. I've never enjoyed Genshin as much as I have while clearing every Abyss with her since the introduction of Aggravate.
the point about Nahida making keqings aggravate team better along with Cyno, is why I think we might be getting a dendro xingqiu/yelan (and possible its Alhaitham). Having a lot of off-field spread triggered by Cynos normal attacks would be a huge increase to his team's damage budget.
Tbh idk if we ever get a "dendro xingqiu" because that would actually be pretty broken by itself in hyperbloom comps. Hoyoverse lately have been pretty careful to not release powercreep broken units as you can see from their recent 5 stars and 4 stars just being extremely niche or just alright
@@ATNtalk Dendri catalyst on-field would already be about that level of dendro application with charged attacks. Then just bring xingqiu and either fischl, beidou, or Kuki for the electro portion of hyperbloom.
@@mari_zz yeah I thought so too when I first saw him. A leak said he had infusion on his skill, so I'm think the skill will be like ayato or keqing, with about half uptime (like 6 second duration, increasable with constellations, and a 12 second cooldown). Then a Yelan/Xingqiu burst with like a 20 second duration. Giving him the option to drive spreads on field, or provide off-field dendro or normal attacking. His 4 star promotional sword is more geared for a xingqiu type role, than a main DPS, which of course could mean nothing cause weapons aren't always fitting. But also the way he's being set up with Cyno feels like they'll have to team up and resolve their issues on Alhaithams release patch, and then maybe Cyno will rerun with him, essentially selling each other. If Alhaitham is a selfish quicken DPS, then instead he serves the exact same role as Cyno and competes for teammates for the abyss and therefore competes for sales instead. Bad business move, and all the business decision so far are pointing me to think Alhaitham is more like Yelan then like Childe.
@@hunterlavish Nah cuz I feel like we need a good Dendro DPS that stays attacking more time on field. We only have Tighnari who focuses more on bursts of Dendro and quick rotations. Al Haitham could be more like you use a bunch of buffs like Beidou or Xingqiu and Yelan, and stay attacking on him. Also I think him serving the same role as Cyno would be more fitting than complementing him, since they like, fight each other lol
Honestly, I'm happy with his powerlever (with my imperfect stats on him and my other Electro units lol) I despise powercreep (or basically any "you need to use this unit" type of meta/content), but I also want characters to feel good to play in-line with my older units. I know some people actively want the newer characters to be a straight upgrade on their older ones, but I'd honestly be happy with National being the best team for ever as it allows me to focus my pulls for aesthethics, fun factor and personality, while still having access to the best teams if need be.
yes. some content creators legit all they do is say “the new unit is trash compared to national”, like who gives a fuck just tell me about the character.
Personally I prefer fun and easy playstyle over powercreep. I like Tartaglia but Ayato seems much easier and simpler to play. Keqing might be much more stronger, but Cyno 'aggressive' gameplay is a big yes for me

I lost the 50/50 on Ayato's banner and had I known of the delay, I would've used my extra primos on him and not tried for Yelan's weapon :/ (Though obviously MHY weren't sure if they were forced to lockdown, so I can't really blame them) Now I'm just praying his rerun is within a sea of reruns as I like the Sumeru characters so much and I don't want to skip any of them lol
Big agree, the only must pull character for me is kazuha, bcs not only is he strong but incredibly versatile and fun unit to play. I think zajef actually explains it best in one of his previous videos, where he basically hits you with the "You spent over 10 000 primos on a meta character you dont like just to get a chance of getting 600 in abyss..." I think about that line a lot🙏
Yea tf combo is pretty tight and you will get hit more often due to lack of flexibility. I switched to gilded now even though my tf set is better, having a better time running non shielder/healer teams than tf
pog video the stuff on cyno's TF combo was super useful also cyno's charge attack leaves claw marks on ground its a shame its not really optimal to use it just keeps missing the enemies
currently use Cyno Yae Kazuuboy MC Dendro, it's a good comp, big damage, the problem only in shield or healer, hopefully later on there's dendro healer with good dendro application
Cyno hyperbloom with 4p TF, attack sands, PJWS, C1, crowned Q, CR 65% / CD 208%, ER 130, EM 140 Team Yelan/Dendro Traveler/Diona on Noblesse or Zhongli Is quite good. Might go for C2.
just fyi if you weren't aware, apparently a couple days ago some beta testers got to test a no-icd nahida instead of a regular one, so they might give her no icd upon release, so if you might wanna keep that in mind when making your pre release analysis, again, if you weren't aware

Tbh i think he's fine? I wouldn't neccessarily reccomend him to new players, but at some point, you have the 2 meta teams to clear abyss, and after that (especially since hoyo doesnt wanna make more battle oriented endgame🤡) you're welcome to vibe. I benched all of my "meta" five stars to play hyperbloom kuki and suddenly I have fun with the game again.. Sure it'd be great if he was op, but honestly the game doesn't have anything he couldn't get through💀
Don't feel bad, this video is pretty misleading. His Cyno is really bad so of course he thinks he's underwhelming. I didn't even know it was possible for his damage to be that low. Of course he thinks he is bad. My keqing can't even come close. I kill masanori in 10 seconds with my Cyno team (C0R1).
The fact that Cyno got outshined by Keqing, a standard banner character is just so funny. Which i don't think has ever happened, most event banner characters usually just strictly better than a standard banner character
It's meant Mihoyo ways of balancing is not the best solution either. For context, you should know this too but just incase. They balancing by introducing new character, weapon, artifacts, reactions. They don't really touch anything outside that, last time is just hydro resonance but before that is EM scaling buff 1 year+ ago. Pushing too much on not powercreep but reverse powercreep keep happening. People say that the character just being specialized and no powercreep but since when it's not a powercreep, who insisted on that. Last time powercreep is just about character being stronger than others simple as that. Now if they're specialized, no powercreep bs. I'm not buying it. I know it's a good intentions bcuz powercreep is scary words, but completely denying it is another thing implying the devs doing a good job when it literally meh.
Cyno can still have so much improvisation since he just release while his kit kinda rely on dendro support. We all know that the dendro chars for now was limited So pretty sure he gonna bright as much as the newest update (Not to talk about so much chars that get black lashes like Kazuha, Yelan and etc before and now look at them)

Game surely wants to give variability over heavy powercreep. Plus you can't get Keqing just as a random drop from banners. I still don't have her or either Jean while have c5 Mona, c2 Qiqi and Diluc.
I think he is designed to capitalize on both aggravate and hyperbloom at the same time and he is the perfect character to drive both xingxiu and beidou ‘ bursts solving at the same time all his surviving problems ..Do you think xingxiu will mess the quicken aura or nahida will be abble of keeping that ??if not who can be a good hydro teammate ? Emblem ayato yelan or c6 Candace ? Candace seems to be designed to fill that spot expecialy for cyno but then we still need to wait for a dendro healer/shielder 😢
well tbf, Beidou and xingqui are already strong units, anything being paired with them will be fine at least. Though based on my exp from the abyss, I tried him with xingqui(with kuki and mc) It is faster than my kazu and zhongli. as for ayato it can work but the er requirement is so atrocious. You can ease it up with 3 fav weapons but it works and has good range but i would still prefer xingqui due to some stagger resistance. I don't think c6 candace can be a better option than those 2 imo
It's pretty safe to say that Baizhu will be this dendro healer (at least in 5*, Yao Yao and Kaveh could also have this role but they will probably be 4*). The problem is that we don't really know when they will be available. We must now arm ourselves with patience because we are going to have months of waiting.
Xingui steals aggravte from cyno due to his insane hydro application that's why Yelan works better as she applies enough hydro to hyperbloom but also doesn't steal quicken aura
If anyone is playing this game for combat and not story and exploration, you are wasting your time and money and should just quit. This is a story RPG in the first place, if you aren't enjoying the story you're playing the wrong game. The combat is just the crust of a pizza, there can be nice crusts but if you're eating a pizza just for the crust and throwing away the toppings, you might as well don't eat pizza.

her burst's duration is extendable (through 1/2 Hydro units in party) and it would benefit Cyno because of her A1 that gives 200 EM for free (if a party member has 1000 EM which is possible)

Ive always expected Cyno to be very niche but I still pulled for him and Ive never regretted it cuz he is so fun to play. I can already 36 stars the abyss before I got cyno as a f2p player so I dont really care if hes meta or not. He is not fully built yet atm but I still was able to clear floor 12 with him so overall Im still happy that I got him. Tho I def not gonna recommend pulling him if ur still struggling in the abyss, there are many better dps out there, and also farming scarabs fuking sucks, my cyno rn is still 80 like for fck sake scarabs are the hardest pieces of sht to collect

Same. His kit's endseer mechanic makes fights so much more engaging, hitting it smack on feels great and because it requires actual timing it's more rewarding than just hitting E or Q whenever they're up and you can't go that wrong. Cyno's damage can fall off very fast when things fumble and for a change that makes hitting peak dps feel like you're actually doing something kind of cool, instead of the predictable static reward of Beeg Numbers that comes with having farmed good artefacts and leveled your char/wep/talents
i have 2 question: there are no defensive option for the optimal keqing aggravate team (keqing fischl dendroMC(or collei) kazuha) if you swap one of them for a healer shielder (example kazuha for jean or zonghli) is still the team dmg better for keqing team or a similar aggravate team with cyno will instead be hagier dmg? second question: what about yelan (c0) as bloom generator for cyno team? her dmg is good on her how, and she can buff cyno and apply less hydro than xingqui, so she should remove less hydro and allow both aggravate (not 100% uptime) and hyperbloom, what do you think about it? thanks for the good video.
Well as for the first question, kazuha in this quickswap team does much more damage, buffs better so even in solo target rooms this team will be better by a lot than with zhongli. Also, as for defense, this is like the most comfortable team to play without defense because of low cooldowns on burst, quick swapping and kadzuha E. Cyno, for example, can’t afford playing without defense. But if we count zhongli in both teams, keqing will still overpass cyno

Regarding cyno needs for defensive option, i believe there are people that can play him without one and be totally fine. as for me, i want a defensive utility in both team if i decide to use them.
Would Prototype Amber Sucrose work for you instead of Kazuha? That's usually my go-to compromise if I don't want to run a healer but still need healing.

How far ahead of GD is TF when you have his signature though ? signature converts EM from GD into atk, so you probably don't lose as much damage from going GD instead of TF when you have his signature. Maybe in that case, the slighest combo mistake on TF puts it behind GD ?
TF still cause it’s more aggravates and more energy and more AoE. Gilded might do bigger numbers on E but TF gives double Es so it’s a no brainer, but if you do have a good gilded/gladiator set then by all means use that set it’s not earth and sky difference
Long analysis so caution before reading: So many people and big content creators (Zyox, Xlice, IWTl, etc) glanced over so fast how to ACTUALLY build a team for cyno. They are so fixated on running him strictly on an aggravate team + using anemo supports to boost his personal electro damage, then concluded that he's mediocre, or at keqing's level at best. Even tho in theory, for an EM focused electro hypercarry, his personal damage comes not only from aggravate damage but also his hyperbloom, hence its ACTUAL best team would be a Quickbloom team, which would be Cyno+Hydro+DMC+Zhongli. So what is his BiS hydro teammate? I started playing in 2.7, and yelan was my first 5 star. And up til now Ive always felt an itch that there is not a single onfield dps that can fully utilize her kit. She's built to go with a greedy on field hypercarry that focuses on NA. Her ascension 4 passive ramps up the longer a character stays on field, up to 50% (tho Cyno would only fully utilize only about 30-40% of that Att% increase, still, its enough to match with his 2 first endseer), this is enough for him to not worry about his Att% when he has an EM sands. Furthermore, Yelan's hydro application is slower than xingqiu (though its still relatively high), but it means that when I tested it, I found a balance between spawning enough dendro cores for hyperbloom without stealing much of the quicken aura. To summarize, Yelan+Zhongli+DMC is cyno's actual best team, you don't need an anemo support to swirl his meager electro damage, you want to use him as a hypercarry+driver to proc as much reactions as possible with his high EM. And if you manage to have an elegy yelan + instructor DMC and TOM zhongli, cyno deals a shitton of rapid damage and i'd argue he would be in his BiS team. TLDR: For those saying cyno is meh or bad because he's not the most meta pick to fit in the most meta team, I say that they have not spent time to actually craft the most synergistic team for him. And I personally believe that up til now, he is Yelan's most perfect onfield dps counterpart. PS: Im actually a keqing main and got lucky on cyno's pull (20 pulls winning 50/50), it wasn't my intention to get him, hence I didn't have enough ascension materials for the guy, yet he surprisingly is so much stronger than I would imagine and for the bad reputation that he's received, hence I wanna leave a comment out here so y'all can start running quickbloom cyno and see his true potential value
Ah u started playing in 2.7 that explains it! DO you have any evidence to back your claim up? DO you have any dps calc?, yelan is a single target centered units, it might be strong when testing against bosses but in floor 12, you fight bosses like 2/6 times, Not to mention this abyss has a lot of spread out mobs that easily get staggered, where's the CC unit to group them? You are not only telling people that this is a good team but you also claim this is his BEST team so you need to provide good evidence or at least some abyss runs that proves that this team is competitive to other teams. instead of claiming stuff in this "trust me bro" manner.

I clearly said I wanted to spread awareness to people who has not been using quickbloom and only entirely reliant on cyno's aggravate teams to judge his values. I DO realize he has lots of weakness especially when it comes with fighting boss that has multiple phases. Secondly, I didn't want to include any calculations because my meager ass 1/8/8 lvl78 cyno is not reflective and considered to be a good standard to compare with others. Im a F2P that's been consistently 36 stars since the third month playing the game using mostly 4 stars (Heizou mono pyro quickswap). So at least I KNOW how to build and play the game. I just hate it when people especially like you who are just too quick to jump on the hate train and bashing others' opinion when its just a single player PVE game. TLDR: it may be copium that the team requires limited 5 star chars and works against boss opponents. But if my lvl78 ass cyno can comfortably clear 2nd half abyss with a team that's not only have good damage but also satisfying and fun to play. Then yea, I want to share it so more people have the choice to playtest for themselves. And if you find my comment to trigger you in any way shape or form just because I didn't whip up a dmg calculation spreadsheet just for a youtube comment, you can politely gtfo ;)

@@hagianghoang4026 as a 1.0 player, a Cyno and Keqing Main myself i can confirm that it is his best team replacing zhongli with Beidou. If u wanna argue with a lack of 5* units, replace yelan with xinqiu ando there u have 3 actual free characters with Cyno.
In terms of pure off field dendro application for Cyno, will Nahida be a better teammate than Dmc or will it be better to skip her and wait for a better dendro support? Dmc doesn't cover all of Cyno's burst uptime, but neither seems to do Nahida when facing multiple waves, right?

The fate of hyper carries in this game are cruel. Xiao is 2 years in and never got his dedicated support while itto will always be sticking to his geo comp. They might also designed raiden in this matter as well with sara but she turned into a monster instead lol.
Strange as I feel the opposite. Keqing's agg team allows me to be more flexible depending on what the gamestate is whereas with cyno, I cant switch off him unless I want to mess up rotations.
invested so much on my cyno, have his weapon and and everything and his artifacts pretty good, so he doesn't really feel as bad to play for me (im also a xiao main so maybe thats also why LOL) but i imagine for f2p players the lack of power would be very noticeable compared to other dps in the game 😔
How does taser with Cydou/XQ/Kazu compare to other taser options? Also Yelan Quickbloom? Overall I think he's like Ayato in that they're not the best option in their element for any team, but are a solid 2nd/3rd choice, so they're not shoehorned to a particular team to be good. Cyno's skippable, but slots well into all the electro team archetypes that anyone who wants to play him or don't have all of Keqing/Raiden/Kuki/Yae will always have options for electro teams regardless of content.
I just accept I can't do these attack counting optimized rotations. I just want to E, Q, spam left click till I see eyeball, E, spam left clicks till next eyeball, repeat till Q is over. Guess I'm just becoming an old, ungabunga, boomer thumbs, gamer.

I have to apreciatte the great work both zajef and the editor put in the videos. The mechanics of the character are super well explained, and the information get condensed in a very comprehensible way. Besides, the information that is in screen helps a lot when zajef is talking stuff like combos, which is a bit difficult to imagine, but you find a way to help to follow the flow of the conversation.

at cynomains subreddit people popularize cyno hyperbloom, I tried it and I actually liked it. I think it's stronger than pure aggravate team
I'm loving hyperbloom. I find you can make and proc seeds much more often than you get aggravate procs.
Is his current hyperbloom teams actually much stronger than his aggravate team, or is it overperforming because the current abyss buff buffs hyperbloom teams a lot skewing his damage in the abyss for HB comps
@@ATNtalk Even in overworld it's better in my opinion. I managed to beat Masanori and different domains faster than when u do aggravate comps. The thing with aggravate imo is that it's a bit inconsistent and very focused on one enemy, but hyperbloom team could fix that since it's more consistent. I use Xingqiu and Beidou together which helps Cyno from interruption, plus the fact that their ult is long enough to complete Cyno's ult rotation (although not as long compared to Cyno's ult), if we compare that to Fischl's Oz, well her bird has shorter duration.

@@ATNtalk Hyperbloom have higher floor but lower ceiling. In general I think it's still better compared to aggravate because Cyno multiplier is quite low.

My grain of sand about Cyno:
Tbf Cyno feels more comfortable to use with Skyward Spine, the energy recharge might seems like it doesn't do anything for him but oh boy this desert wolf boi depends so much in his Burst, besides the attack speed and little crit rate + he being actually able to proc the polearm passive (unlike Raiden 🙄) makes him a very competent user of the Skyward Spine over Staff of Homeless, I tried him with Homa with single target DPS testing and due to the attack speed he manages to destroy everything way more with SS than SoH and getting his Burst every rotation.
So far he is rn my most powerful unit in terms of stats alone, outputing my C1 Staff of Homeless Who Tao, Wanderer, Yoimiya and even my very first 5* C1 Keqing but he definitely is weaker than C2 Hyper Carry Raiden, Raiden + Eula, Hyperbloom Kuki or even Nahiyu.
Very powerful with Nahida and super destructive with hyperbloom but it is true that in multiwave the new enemies that aren't marked by Nahida's Skill does feel limiting with Cyno's Burst uptime.
Cyno requires quite the setup for optimal usage, he is usually so powerful that by the time my XQ, Nahida's combo setup finishes the enemies are already dead for Cyno not even caring to use his Burst, is like using Ganyu with Amo bow but with more steps in the overworld.
Ironically a low invested pure EM Hyperbloom Kuki with Nahida beats him in AoE, comfort and DPS, my C0 Cyno is only good rushing against single bosses.

I think one of the things Zajef missed/didn't mention with Nahida in Cyno teams is that Nahida doesn't work against multiwave content in Cyno teams. Since her dendro app is tied to a status on the enemy that's applied via E, if new enemies spawn, you don't have that dendro app before you swap back to Nahida, in which case your cyno uptime is fucked.
You know who doesn't have the problem of not being able to swap to Nahida to refresh the status? KeqSpoon
Keqing and beidou just laugh at the corner knowing damn well nahida's kit is catered to them

having a thundering fury character in the game gave me so much joy i instantly pulled. cyno is a really fun unit, probably only second to the fun i had when i got kazuha way back in 1.6
To this day TF hyperbloom Cyno is still my best single target team, he gets so many procs of his E that i can literally obliterate any boss in a matter of seconds. Just use him with Xinqiu+Beidou and all his interruption/healing problems are solved

Honestly his c1 and c2 should've been base part of his kit. He would still be worse than Raiden, but at least he would feel worth getting if you already own a Keqing.

Don't know why they keep releasing burst based infusions when overworld exploration is the major part of gameplay.
They take the least amount of effort for the dev team to balance around. Lazy
I tried using TF, but the timing was too stressful, plus i dont have Zhongli and my beidou still needs built, so i resorted to using GD and i honestly love it, im finding it more fun, and its doing more damage than my TF set, plus, with TF you NEED to constantly be proccing reactions, if Quicken disappears, your dmg drops so much more drastically, which i didnt like.
Also using GD over glad caus eif i have a hydro in my team, thats more hyperbloom dmg and electro charged dmg, so i like that too

this was my experience too pretty much. staying on top of the tf rotation is waaayyy more energy than i’m willing to expend on a game with no endgame content, gd does the job fine. i pulled for the aesthetic, not the numbers.
TF should stand for Theory Fury.
It sounds good on paper and *can* be good in certain scenarios for Cyno… but it’s so scuff that you’re better off not sweating with it and use Gladiator or Gilded.
People who much like gilded over TF are usually Cynomains with his weapon and quickbloom team. It feel so much better like he was designed for it. I hope I can replace 2nd electro with 2nd dendro in future.
I'm using TF for him, and I ended up unintentionally with C1 for him. His timings are so completely jank with the not always consistent TF procs and random delays due to chasing enemies and the like, plus his attack speed boost...
But holy ef I'm having a lot of fun, it feels like every fight ends up more dynamic and adjusting how I slap my E's in can legit make my damage better compared to whiffing it. It's almost like artificial difficulty due to the otherwise preventable loss in damage, but that makes it somehow more satisfying to play on an account that hardly faces much challenge clearing content.
Keqing may be more consistent but mashing through the same rotation with no variation and not really any payoff for 'doing it right' over bumbling just isn't as fun. Heck, the better I play Cyno the less fun I have in a weird way, because enemies die too quickly ; P Still fun popping endseer pointlessly three times after everything has been eradicated in overworld exploration

Despite managing to 36* abyss with aggravte cyno quite easily, I still wasn't pleased with his damage compared to.. well, every other dps I have, including freakin Kaeya (at least he is C6), so I went for C2 and his damage is much better, now he's on the same level as Xiao, Itto or Ayato at C0, yay :/

I think one thing that's not mentioned in the vid about his teams is that he can also run a Quickbloom-Fridge team with DMC, Yelan and Diona (preferably C6). Line up your rotations correctly and Diona's 12s Burst ends at roughly the same time as Yelan and DMC's Bursts while also reducing the hydro application from Yelan's Burst, which maintains the Quicken aura even more and allows you to keep using your White Tassel. The constant Electrocharge/Superconduct/Aggravate/Hyperblooms also makes it easier to proc TF's set bonus based from my experience in using it, and you can get away with 120% ER if you run Fav on Yelan and DMC.

I pulled Cyno because I love his design and playstyle, I've reached a state of enlightenment and have transcended the gacha, I pull what I feel like pulling regardless of what happens
Now I just wish Hoyo can focus on improving the action open world RPG aspects of the game, which is the main gameplay loop of the fuckin gacha, and further incentivizing it and how all we do is either raising characters, doing challenges, or designing our teapots

I lowkey wish my Cyno were Keqing instead; he looks really cool but swap characters are what the game likes most
the point about Nahida making keqings aggravate team better along with Cyno, is why I think we might be getting a dendro xingqiu/yelan (and possible its Alhaitham). Having a lot of off-field spread triggered by Cynos normal attacks would be a huge increase to his team's damage budget.
Tbh idk if we ever get a "dendro xingqiu" because that would actually be pretty broken by itself in hyperbloom comps. Hoyoverse lately have been pretty careful to not release powercreep broken units as you can see from their recent 5 stars and 4 stars just being extremely niche or just alright

@@ATNtalk Dendri catalyst on-field would already be about that level of dendro application with charged attacks. Then just bring xingqiu and either fischl, beidou, or Kuki for the electro portion of hyperbloom.
@@mari_zz yeah I thought so too when I first saw him. A leak said he had infusion on his skill, so I'm think the skill will be like ayato or keqing, with about half uptime (like 6 second duration, increasable with constellations, and a 12 second cooldown). Then a Yelan/Xingqiu burst with like a 20 second duration. Giving him the option to drive spreads on field, or provide off-field dendro or normal attacking.
His 4 star promotional sword is more geared for a xingqiu type role, than a main DPS, which of course could mean nothing cause weapons aren't always fitting.
But also the way he's being set up with Cyno feels like they'll have to team up and resolve their issues on Alhaithams release patch, and then maybe Cyno will rerun with him, essentially selling each other.
If Alhaitham is a selfish quicken DPS, then instead he serves the exact same role as Cyno and competes for teammates for the abyss and therefore competes for sales instead. Bad business move, and all the business decision so far are pointing me to think Alhaitham is more like Yelan then like Childe.
@@hunterlavish Nah cuz I feel like we need a good Dendro DPS that stays attacking more time on field. We only have Tighnari who focuses more on bursts of Dendro and quick rotations. Al Haitham could be more like you use a bunch of buffs like Beidou or Xingqiu and Yelan, and stay attacking on him. Also I think him serving the same role as Cyno would be more fitting than complementing him, since they like, fight each other lol

I despise powercreep (or basically any "you need to use this unit" type of meta/content), but I also want characters to feel good to play in-line with my older units.
I know some people actively want the newer characters to be a straight upgrade on their older ones, but I'd honestly be happy with National being the best team for ever as it allows me to focus my pulls for aesthethics, fun factor and personality, while still having access to the best teams if need be.
yes. some content creators legit all they do is say “the new unit is trash compared to national”, like who gives a fuck just tell me about the character.
Personally I prefer fun and easy playstyle over powercreep. I like Tartaglia but Ayato seems much easier and simpler to play. Keqing might be much more stronger, but Cyno 'aggressive' gameplay is a big yes for me
@@febbbm2002 I'm so sad we weren't notified of the patch delay ahead of time. I lost the 50/50 on Ayato's banner and had I known of the delay, I would've used my extra primos on him and not tried for Yelan's weapon :/

I think zajef actually explains it best in one of his previous videos, where he basically hits you with the "You spent over 10 000 primos on a meta character you dont like just to get a chance of getting 600 in abyss..." I think about that line a lot🙏
Yea tf combo is pretty tight and you will get hit more often due to lack of flexibility. I switched to gilded now even though my tf set is better, having a better time running non shielder/healer teams than tf

Don't feel bad, this video is pretty misleading. His Cyno is really bad so of course he thinks he's underwhelming. I didn't even know it was possible for his damage to be that low. Of course he thinks he is bad. My keqing can't even come close. I kill masanori in 10 seconds with my Cyno team (C0R1).

It's meant Mihoyo ways of balancing is not the best solution either. For context, you should know this too but just incase. They balancing by introducing new character, weapon, artifacts, reactions. They don't really touch anything outside that, last time is just hydro resonance but before that is EM scaling buff 1 year+ ago. Pushing too much on not powercreep but reverse powercreep keep happening.
People say that the character just being specialized and no powercreep but since when it's not a powercreep, who insisted on that. Last time powercreep is just about character being stronger than others simple as that. Now if they're specialized, no powercreep bs. I'm not buying it. I know it's a good intentions bcuz powercreep is scary words, but completely denying it is another thing implying the devs doing a good job when it literally meh.

Emblem ayato yelan or c6 Candace ? Candace seems to be designed to fill that spot expecialy for cyno but then we still need to wait for a dendro healer/shielder 😢
well tbf, Beidou and xingqui are already strong units, anything being paired with them will be fine at least. Though based on my exp from the abyss, I tried him with xingqui(with kuki and mc) It is faster than my kazu and zhongli.
as for ayato it can work but the er requirement is so atrocious. You can ease it up with 3 fav weapons but it works and has good range but i would still prefer xingqui due to some stagger resistance.
I don't think c6 candace can be a better option than those 2 imo
It's pretty safe to say that Baizhu will be this dendro healer (at least in 5*, Yao Yao and Kaveh could also have this role but they will probably be 4*).
The problem is that we don't really know when they will be available. We must now arm ourselves with patience because we are going to have months of waiting.
Xingui steals aggravte from cyno due to his insane hydro application that's why Yelan works better as she applies enough hydro to hyperbloom but also doesn't steal quicken aura

If anyone is playing this game for combat and not story and exploration, you are wasting your time and money and should just quit. This is a story RPG in the first place, if you aren't enjoying the story you're playing the wrong game. The combat is just the crust of a pizza, there can be nice crusts but if you're eating a pizza just for the crust and throwing away the toppings, you might as well don't eat pizza.

her burst's duration is extendable (through 1/2 Hydro units in party) and it would benefit Cyno because of her A1 that gives 200 EM for free (if a party member has 1000 EM which is possible)
But her dendro application is tied to her e so cyno wouldn't work with nahida that well

Ive always expected Cyno to be very niche but I still pulled for him and Ive never regretted it cuz he is so fun to play. I can already 36 stars the abyss before I got cyno as a f2p player so I dont really care if hes meta or not. He is not fully built yet atm but I still was able to clear floor 12 with him so overall Im still happy that I got him. Tho I def not gonna recommend pulling him if ur still struggling in the abyss, there are many better dps out there, and also farming scarabs fuking sucks, my cyno rn is still 80 like for fck sake scarabs are the hardest pieces of sht to collect

The reason to play Cyno for me is hes just fun
Same. His kit's endseer mechanic makes fights so much more engaging, hitting it smack on feels great and because it requires actual timing it's more rewarding than just hitting E or Q whenever they're up and you can't go that wrong.
Cyno's damage can fall off very fast when things fumble and for a change that makes hitting peak dps feel like you're actually doing something kind of cool, instead of the predictable static reward of Beeg Numbers that comes with having farmed good artefacts and leveled your char/wep/talents
i have 2 question: there are no defensive option for the optimal keqing aggravate team (keqing fischl dendroMC(or collei) kazuha) if you swap one of them for a healer shielder (example kazuha for jean or zonghli) is still the team dmg better for keqing team or a similar aggravate team with cyno will instead be hagier dmg?
second question: what about yelan (c0) as bloom generator for cyno team? her dmg is good on her how, and she can buff cyno and apply less hydro than xingqui, so she should remove less hydro and allow both aggravate (not 100% uptime) and hyperbloom, what do you think about it?

Well as for the first question, kazuha in this quickswap team does much more damage, buffs better so even in solo target rooms this team will be better by a lot than with zhongli. Also, as for defense, this is like the most comfortable team to play without defense because of low cooldowns on burst, quick swapping and kadzuha E. Cyno, for example, can’t afford playing without defense. But if we count zhongli in both teams, keqing will still overpass cyno

Would Prototype Amber Sucrose work for you instead of Kazuha? That's usually my go-to compromise if I don't want to run a healer but still need healing.

signature converts EM from GD into atk, so you probably don't lose as much damage from going GD instead of TF when you have his signature.
Maybe in that case, the slighest combo mistake on TF puts it behind GD ?

TF still cause it’s more aggravates and more energy and more AoE. Gilded might do bigger numbers on E but TF gives double Es so it’s a no brainer, but if you do have a good gilded/gladiator set then by all means use that set it’s not earth and sky difference

Long analysis so caution before reading:
So many people and big content creators (Zyox, Xlice, IWTl, etc) glanced over so fast how to ACTUALLY build a team for cyno. They are so fixated on running him strictly on an aggravate team + using anemo supports to boost his personal electro damage, then concluded that he's mediocre, or at keqing's level at best. Even tho in theory, for an EM focused electro hypercarry, his personal damage comes not only from aggravate damage but also his hyperbloom, hence its ACTUAL best team would be a Quickbloom team, which would be Cyno+Hydro+DMC+Zhongli.
So what is his BiS hydro teammate? I started playing in 2.7, and yelan was my first 5 star. And up til now Ive always felt an itch that there is not a single onfield dps that can fully utilize her kit.
She's built to go with a greedy on field hypercarry that focuses on NA. Her ascension 4 passive ramps up the longer a character stays on field, up to 50% (tho Cyno would only fully utilize only about 30-40% of that Att% increase, still, its enough to match with his 2 first endseer), this is enough for him to not worry about his Att% when he has an EM sands. Furthermore, Yelan's hydro application is slower than xingqiu (though its still relatively high), but it means that when I tested it, I found a balance between spawning enough dendro cores for hyperbloom without stealing much of the quicken aura.
To summarize, Yelan+Zhongli+DMC is cyno's actual best team, you don't need an anemo support to swirl his meager electro damage, you want to use him as a hypercarry+driver to proc as much reactions as possible with his high EM. And if you manage to have an elegy yelan + instructor DMC and TOM zhongli, cyno deals a shitton of rapid damage and i'd argue he would be in his BiS team.
TLDR: For those saying cyno is meh or bad because he's not the most meta pick to fit in the most meta team, I say that they have not spent time to actually craft the most synergistic team for him. And I personally believe that up til now, he is Yelan's most perfect onfield dps counterpart.
PS: Im actually a keqing main and got lucky on cyno's pull (20 pulls winning 50/50), it wasn't my intention to get him, hence I didn't have enough ascension materials for the guy, yet he surprisingly is so much stronger than I would imagine and for the bad reputation that he's received, hence I wanna leave a comment out here so y'all can start running quickbloom cyno and see his true potential value

DO you have any dps calc?, yelan is a single target centered units, it might be strong when testing against bosses but in floor 12, you fight bosses like 2/6 times, Not to mention this abyss has a lot of spread out mobs that easily get staggered, where's the CC unit to group them?

I DO realize he has lots of weakness especially when it comes with fighting boss that has multiple phases. Secondly, I didn't want to include any calculations because my meager ass 1/8/8 lvl78 cyno is not reflective and considered to be a good standard to compare with others.
Im a F2P that's been consistently 36 stars since the third month playing the game using mostly 4 stars (Heizou mono pyro quickswap). So at least I KNOW how to build and play the game. I just hate it when people especially like you who are just too quick to jump on the hate train and bashing others' opinion when its just a single player PVE game.
TLDR: it may be copium that the team requires limited 5 star chars and works against boss opponents. But if my lvl78 ass cyno can comfortably clear 2nd half abyss with a team that's not only have good damage but also satisfying and fun to play. Then yea, I want to share it so more people have the choice to playtest for themselves. And if you find my comment to trigger you in any way shape or form just because I didn't whip up a dmg calculation spreadsheet just for a youtube comment, you can politely gtfo ;)

In terms of pure off field dendro application for Cyno, will Nahida be a better teammate than Dmc or will it be better to skip her and wait for a better dendro support? Dmc doesn't cover all of Cyno's burst uptime, but neither seems to do Nahida when facing multiple waves, right?

TLDR: The only reason why keqing is better than cyno is because of the current team comps available. Cyno is better than keqing in terms of personal dmg and constellations and he doesnt waste stamina but knowing this game is a 4-man strategy, keqing wins. For now.
The fate of hyper carries in this game are cruel. Xiao is 2 years in and never got his dedicated support while itto will always be sticking to his geo comp. They might also designed raiden in this matter as well with sara but she turned into a monster instead lol.
It pains me as a c6 Keqing haver... He still feels smoother though.
Strange as I feel the opposite. Keqing's agg team allows me to be more flexible depending on what the gamestate is whereas with cyno, I cant switch off him unless I want to mess up rotations.
invested so much on my cyno, have his weapon and and everything and his artifacts pretty good, so he doesn't really feel as bad to play for me (im also a xiao main so maybe thats also why LOL) but i imagine for f2p players the lack of power would be very noticeable compared to other dps in the game 😔
Being able to gear up immediately with 3-star White Tassel and backstock Gladiator 4pc is pretty convenient for F2P.
How does taser with Cydou/XQ/Kazu compare to other taser options? Also Yelan Quickbloom?
Overall I think he's like Ayato in that they're not the best option in their element for any team, but are a solid 2nd/3rd choice, so they're not shoehorned to a particular team to be good. Cyno's skippable, but slots well into all the electro team archetypes that anyone who wants to play him or don't have all of Keqing/Raiden/Kuki/Yae will always have options for electro teams regardless of content.
