    About to purchase this for my birthday/christmas. The great video really sold the case for me, since my brother wanted me to get a Lian Li and won't have any experience building with a Core P6. ANYONE can follow these steps. Thanks a ton man!

    Amazing looking case with very poor airflow. I got this and I MUST use it without the front glass panel, to give fresh air to the 3 front fans.
    if I use it with the front glass, the GPU runs super hot, above 90 degrees, without the front glass panel, runs at 68-70 degrees
    And I have also a back 120mm "exhaust" fan
    it would nice to have a upgraded front glass panel meshed or with big holes for the air intake

    Nice video. Couple questions with fans. Isn't it better to have the top fans as exhaust fans and bottom fans for intake? (heat rises - while also feeding additional cool air directly upwards) Usual setup I would think is bottom fans intake, front panel fans intake, top exhaust, and back exhaust. Maybe that's overkill in your current case you built (or overkill in any case)? Haha.

    Great video, I followed this for my Core P6 build. But one issue. How do you provide cooling for the standard hard drives? That entire section of the chassis seems like a heat trap?

    • @shanesimmons3784
      @shanesimmons3784 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was looking at this case for my next build (Ryzen 5900x on an MSI X570S Carbon Max), and I'm pretty sure it is a heat trap, and that's the one reason I am now hesitant to buy it. It looks great, really, but the lack of a 3.5" hard drive cage up front isn't good, for those of us who want to use large multi-terabyte drives, along with SSD's. The mounting on the back of the motherboard plate doesn't seem like a good idea at all, and I figure it would lead to overheating drives. It would be nice if TT had an optional 3.5" cage that could be mounted up front, behind the front fan area. Short of that, 3D printing one might be an option. Since I am a 3D modeler, I could do that, but I will need to contact Thermaltake to see if they have a 3D model for the Core P6, to work with.

    just bought this case, its beautiful. my main question is in airflow. i was planning on the bottom and front be intake, while top, back, and and (360) AIO be exhaust (AIO on side). would that be good enough cooling?

    • @thailandtom1
      @thailandtom1 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That’s the fan configuration I built and functions well. 3 x 120mm intake fans on front, 2 x 120mm intake fans on the bottom plus 3 x AIO fans on the side are Intake. I have 3 x 120mm fans on top and 1 x 120mm fan on rear are the exhaust fans. As there are more exhaust fans than intake to balance the system
      I set the fan curves in the BIOS so the 3 top and 1 rear exhaust fans run at a lower rpm with a gentler curve. The intake fans run a lot faster and thus provide a slightly positive pressure. PSU also sucks air from bottom.
      Playing Forza Horizon and RD2 with settings maxed out the CPU does not go above 50°C.

    Quick Question: Is it possible to use the case with the front glas panels without the frontal fan bracket? It would allow for yet another different look of a build. This is a really interesting case.

      Probably depends on the AIO but I had plenty of clearance for my NZXT AIO 280mm. Cables might be a bit tight if you have a 3 fan AIO.

    Can I remove the bottom plate/stand? I prefer to have the usual four rubber-feet

    • @liquidmoonlightcom
      @liquidmoonlightcom ปีที่แล้ว

      I considered the same thing as I had to raise my hutch to fit this case's height. There are four screws and I see now reason that you couldn't. Just keep in mind the rubber feet you buy to replace the base need to be tall enough for the glass and it's bottom bracket. I am guestimating a tad more than one inch tall. And should be sturdy as you are likely to slide the case due to the weight. It's good and heavy without anything in it. But stunningly beautiful.

    Nice case but.... Why they place glass panel to the front side. 3 fans under this glass for that....?

    • @liquidmoonlightcom
      @liquidmoonlightcom ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is plenty of gap on the sides for airflow but there is nothing that says you cannot leave the front glass off. In fact that is one of the features they list on their website. You do not have to install the top or front glass if you do not wish to.

  • @AbulaSyllabus

    I regret getting the white version. It looks great but simply moving screws around to fine-tune fan position (of course after slightly untightening them) already removes the white tint. Can also be seen when moving the SSD/HDD brackets, removing MB slot screws for ATX as i built MATX...
    I liked the overall experience but not the quality. The power button also "sags" and isn't as firm as you'd expect from a >200USD case. I'll post my review on reddit, but I wanted to provide some feedback here too as I really like your build and the black look.

    Does anyone know how to get a replacement for the front tempered glass?

    • @liquidmoonlightcom
      @liquidmoonlightcom ปีที่แล้ว

      Any glass shop should be able to cut and polish the edges of 4mm tempered glass if you provide the dimensions. If you are talking the large side glass you would of course have to have them drill holes at the appropriate points. I would imagine Termaltake also can provide replacement parts but it will likely be a tad more expensive. I've been toying with the idea of getting the glass on my system professionally etched with my own design.

    • @ThermaltakeAustralia
      @ThermaltakeAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They don't need to be :) There's no set rule.
      In this build, both the top and the front are "intake" while the rad fans are exhausting, resulting in a postive airflow setup (which is better for dust management too)

    • @montracon3092
      @montracon3092 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThermaltakeAustralia There is a law of thermodynamics, the rule of convection. Hot air always tends upwards. In this case, the upper fans keep it in the housing.
