      It's inspired (ha!) me to go back 20 years and get a little hardtail again. A small do it all bike from before 'hardcore hardtails' existed and certainly before they were 18ft long ;)

    Thank you for getting me back to trials 😍just got a 2007 Meta VTT only ridden for a month all original including the brake pads front and rear. Even the chain doesn’t got one spot of rust😃 thank good for the Greenlandic dry humid 😍

    I was wondering if you will ever do a vid explaining the difference between street and comp bikes + riding style, pros/cons and if you can create a hybrid from a comp?

    The adjustable stem would be great for experimenting and then knowing just what you want in a fixed stem too. Another really good video! Great riding - looking forward to the comparison of "cheap" bike to a comparable low cost new bike.

    Ali! You should try the 26" technique for moving up to fronts. You are using the 20" technique at 8:40. The 26" technique consists of lifting the front wheel with the bad foot and kicking up with the good foot!

    I find trials riding incredible. Too bad trials aren't popular in my country / area. I'm still keeping an eye out for a trials bike though. That rear brake chirp makes me smile. cheers!

    This cheap bike series really makes me want to finally take on Trial which have always impressed me as a DH rider. Initial investment would be low but I really don't know where to start once I'd get a bike. Maybe doing a video series on how to get into Trials ? Either way love the channel good job man !

    Another good one Ali. It's a shame it's so hard to make pure trials look exciting. I know the great sense of accomplishment you can get from such seemingly small progress, but it doesn't translate well to excitement on video. I'd really love to see you explore the other end of the spectrum and build up a modern comp bike to compare it to. Cheers

    i've got a Tranz-X adjustable stem from the 90s currently on a shagged Cannondale Delta-V 700... it was mint!
    Seemed a little more robust than the one you've got on at the moment ;-)

    Can you make a video about making pads. I foud a good ones for bmx but they are discontinued -odyssey in gum color-others suck even swissstop bxp aren't great. I need onea that grip and dont squeak much I'm surprised there is not much to chose.

    I don't have any experience but i would have thought a lower stem would have forced the rear of the bike down as you try and lift the front like a large leaver as your legs are basically the pivot point

    Hi ali love the video's! Haven't riden trials for about 15 years now but still have a martin hawes giant and an cresent ilions but never knew to much about it I assume it's a comp bike? Do you know anything about them? It's the orange and black one, I have seen it in just orange I think its has an swedish sticker on it but its buried in my dads shed at the moment.

    Hi Ali, I'm a new trials learner, to side hop initiated with rear wheel hop, did you do pedal kick to hop ? Or just jumping (standup explosively) as bunnyhop ?

    Hey Ali! Got two questions for you. I'm relatively new to the trials world. If you were just standing on the ground, could you jump up onto the tree and land on your feet? I'm trying to figure out if being on the bike makes you able to jump up onto something higher than you could without the bike. It seems like it can, but I'm not sure how to tell. My other questions is, are you using the rim brake because it's an old frame that had bosses for those instead of disc caliper mounts? Or do hydraulic rim brakes offer more strength than disc brakes? I could see that being the case, since they could have more leverage.

    How well will an Hs33 lever work with a magura MT7 brake calipher. I have brought MT7's hate the brake lever with a passion (zip tied for some kind of modulation) has anybody tried it or is it even possible? came here today looking for your new vlog today and I'm pleased :)

      I asked magura the same question. They said they won't work due to the different piston sizes

    what are thoughts on the mt5? ive been looking at a set and ive heard they have the classic bone breaker magura power but was wondering about modulation?

      A buddy of mine had an MT5 front brake for half a year. Last weekend the lever housing broke off, while he was sessioning stoppies. The housing is made of plastic and just broke apart, even though he hadn't crashed with the bike (yet).
