That building has been everything from shops to a small theater to a psychic Palm Reader and everything in between
The building once had a live show theater, restaurant and dance club in it but Branson passed so many regulations, most clubs shut down. Shortly after that, this is what came in.
In the early 89s, there was a pattern for a Cabbage Patch type doll for Mr.T!! My aunt made one for my little girl at the time. I still have him!! He has camo clothes and high top sneakers, and lots of gold necklaces I put on him.
They really blew it! It should be $19.80 to get in! Nostalgia galore! Thank you! 😅❤

I love this place! They even let me leave some flyers at the counter to promote my all-80s internet radio station (BlackLight Radio). Loved the games, loved the mini-golf, loved the haunted house, and ate good at the cafe next door. Wonderful folks running this attraction.
That building's been so many things over the years that I couldn't even tell you what it was originally. There was a bar in there at one point, & a little live theatre. I rarely drive that side of the strip, so I only noticed it about a week & a half ago, but it's since been on my radar as somewhere to go on one of these days when it's too cold to do anything outdoors! Looks like a lot of fun! I hope you noticed the live reindeer while you were driving down the strip...I feel like that's something Jen would need to see while you guys are here!

Was there a couple months ago. My kids and I spent most of the day there we absolutely loved it! Even did the Back to the Future escape room...it was a blast!

Retro-mania used to be a theater. The “Platters “were in it at one time and also at one time where the diner is there was a a bar restaurant called steam punk I believe.
Definitely getting some Pigeon Forge vibes. Still though… looks like a must visit for any 80’s nut!
The movie The Hearse is a good, creepy movie. I think it's worth checking out if you haven't seen it. I saw it when I was a kid in the 80s, and I still enjoy it. In fact, I own it.

I looked back at a Branson Strip drive that I did in the Fall of 2021 and I did catch that building. It looks like Retro World was just being set up at that time. It would be interesting to know what was there before.

Feck that haunted house! I was having a mom/son date with my 15 year old and he begged me to go through with him. I don’t do haunted houses. No sir, no way. But I caved, thinking, how bad can it be? It’s in the middle of a museum. I saw my life flash before my eyes. And may have cursed like a sailor. Trauma. Never again. NEVER. AGAIN.
I’ve seen a bit of the movie of the weird science in a couple episodes of the TV show for weird science.
And weird is right for both of them
It was previously the "Dream Theater" before that the Icon Theater...Google Earth goes back to 2007 and there is nothing on the building then... Hope this helps Jacob
