Madame Tussauds seemed like they were featuring the celebrities themselves while the Hollywood Wax Museum were featuring their respective stunt doubles.
@@minimansonstar I'm not sure if you're addressing me or Jacob or both. Also, pardon my ignorance but I'm not sure what you mean. Please explain. Thank you.
The quality of the head sculpts at Tussauds is light years better than at Hollywood. The Tussauds figures look as if they might begin speaking to you any second. The quality of the figures at Hollywood Wax museum varies wildly, from "pretty good", to "just OK", to "Old Navy mannequin head." (True story, the Star Trek display at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge made me genuinely angry, it was so bad.) Tussauds takes the cake. Er, croissant.
Honesty, that’s super true. I work at one of the locations of the Hollywood Wax Museum. There’s some wax figures that look amazing, buuuut there’s also some that look not so amazing.. yeeaaah our Marilyn Monroe looks very sad
Madame Tussauds figures are definitely more realistic and the layout of the museum seems better too 🌟 The guy that You didn't know in the Hollywood wax museum music area is Bruno Mars 🎶 I love when You visit museums... every one of them 💗 Thanks Jacob 🙏💝😻
Bette Davies is shown in a pose from the classic "All About Eve" . Gloria Swanson depicted in the famous "Sunset Boulevard "..she's about to drop the classic line "I'm ready for my close up Mr. DeMille" . Love your waxwork vlogs 😎
All About Eve was also where we see the first appearance of Marilyn Monroe before Davis' iconic line, "Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be bumpy night."
Audrey Hepburn, as Holly Golightly, began her day standing in front of Tiffany’s window, while drinking coffee and eating a danish. Therefore, the movie was called “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
Seeing this video makes me wish the old Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park was still around. Sadly, closed down in 2005. But it had a Ripley's museum next door that you could get a two for one ticket and visit both of them.
Greetings Jacob, the quality of the Madame Tussaud's wax museum and superior details of the figures was 100% better then the other museum for us. The only thing we didn't see as authentic was Captain Kirk's bushy hair, nor did they capture the sexy quality of Rhett Butler (Clark Gable). Thank you for this fun, fun adventure....an adventure we would never be able to do in what is left in our lifetime~ Be Safe~
I absolutely agree with you with a quality of the Madame wax museum. There was more intricate and unique impressions of the actors with their faces very detailed. Thank you for sharing you take care and be safe.🤠
As someone who loves Breakfast at Tiffany's, she doesn't actually have a full meal in the store. She just eats a danish and drinks a cup of coffee outside the display window on the street in the opening scene. And that's the closest she actually got to eating breakfast at Tiffany's
I enjoyed seeing both museums. The surfer guy is Zak Efron ( Baywatch movie). I thought that the James Dean at Madame Tussauds looks more like Austin Butler, than James Dean.
Years ago when Conan moved his show to TBS he came here to Tussauds wax museum to see his sculpture and while there he pretended to be a wax figure himself, stood still and would scare people when they stood next to him. It was hilarious 😂
I watched that movie as a kid. As an adult, I bought the movie. I've always loved it. There are several people I know that has never even heard of it or seen it.
The Hollywood Wax Museum by NO MEANS compared to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum!!! By far Madame Tussauds figures were all superior and looked superbly alike the actual stars n celebrities!!! I didn't recognize half the figures at Hollywood Wax Museum.. The sculptors at Madame Tussauds are top notch!!!
Ah, Bette Davis. Never underestimate her, nor her eyes, as sung by Kim Carnes. The pose and clothes she is in remind me a lot of the film "all about eve", which i saw for the first time only recently and in which she stole my heart (and returned it after a good grown up treatment). Fortunately, the camel was either a wax figure or a taxidermy, and you got dismounted without physical harm. You forgot to say the famous words from Omar Shariff: "Hat, hat, hat!". Those would have made the camel rise and speed of in the direction you steer him.
Madam Tussauds was sold out the only day I was in LA so I went to Hollywood wax museum. I was by myself but it was still pretty fun lol. Loved the TMNT figures!
Nice side-by-side! Hats off to the sculptors. They do a fantastic job. I hope some of them make cosplay appearances. They'd blow some of the competition out of the water. It was nice to see Depp depicted in both of them from "Secret Window". It's an underrated film. The Tussauds has better aesthetics for the figures, but the Hollywood has better theming, IMO. I guess it's kind of a wash. However, the artists from Tussauds nailed the non-wax look, with amazing detail. The "worst Batman" award was pretty epic. As always, a quality upload. Keep it up, my friend!
Dude I've been looking for your channel for a while! I used to watch your videos almost daily and stopped getting notifications..couldn't remember the name of your channel, so I typed in "wax museum" and bam! So happy!
Oh Team Jason here and you can see the difference between these two Museums. Tussauds is much better ^^. The Gentleman in the mirror room was Bruno Mars he was actually well made .
I'd have to say that I'm team Michael Myers, if only because we share the same first name. Also, that devil was Tim Curry as the Darkness from the 80s fantasy movie Legend, which, incidentally, is still my favorite Tom Cruise movie.
Bette Davis is posed from my favorite movie of hers "All About Eve." Her famous quote, "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night." Loved her in that. Gloria Swanson is posed from her movie "Sunset Boulevard", where she plays a delusional has been actress.
Back around 30+ years ago, the Hollywood Wax Museum was notoriously bad. Note that most of the figures now are celebrities from recent years, so they’re new sculptures, and they only kept the least-sucky old ones. I wonder what they did with the other old figures. Candles?
I was surprised he didn't know who that was. Bruno Mars is so popular and has so many songs. I can understand an older group of people not knowing who he is but Jacob isn't that old. Lol!
12:56 The movie starts with her eating a pastry and drinking coffee in front of Tiffany's while admiring the jewelry in the windows. Later she talks about how going to Tiffany's makes her feel good. The wax display has nothing to do with the film.
Great video, Jacob! Always love the content. The only thing of the video I didn't like was the idiot putting up his middle finger at the 0:52 point. I love the selfie opp in the elevator at Madame Taussaud's. I wish you had did a close up of Denzel Washington as Det. Alonzo Harris from Training Day- he got his first major award for that role. The King Kong at Hollywood W.M. was better and the figure at the 39:57 mark is Bruno Mars. Be safe Jacob, see you in the next one!

I've never been to Madame Tussauds which is a wax museum that's located in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf neighborhood before, but I hear that it's similar to Hollywood Wax Museum which is located in both Pigeon Forge, TN and Myrtle Beach, FL. I think that the actor who was seen on the surfboard was Rob Lowe, because he was quite the Hollywood heartthrob in the old days back when he was a young man. Bruno Mars is the name of the artist that we recognize in the mirrored section of famous musicians.
