Burai's death is probably the most famous of all the Super Sentai shows. I can't believe it's not in here. Other powerful deaths were Gai's death in Jetman, Pooh-tan's death in Jetman, Mazenda's death in Liveman, Butchy's death in Liveman, Professor Bias's death in Liveman, Gali's death in Kakuranger, Sandayuu's death in Kakuranger, the dog-loving monster in Ohranger, and Battle Cossek 1's death in Battle Fever J.
Sentai is very gruesome and dark.... I LOVE this kind of deep and intense storytelling, with tragic consequences. If only Power Rangers can develop its demographic toward mature audiences someday, like on Toonami.

The parts in Dairanger where Jin gets killed by the Gouma, Kujaku dies and Doushi Kaku's last words and then dies, are such very dark and depressing tearjerkers (I wonder how many Japanese teens and kids cried over THOSE scenes) Edit: Even more tearjerking about these is that way after Dairanger ended, Shishiranger ended up commiting suicide on himself in 2017 R.I.P

Dappu's death in Carranger was a fakeout because he wanted to get the rangers in a fighting mood (he literally had to drag them into battle with a rope.) As soon as they transformed, he gets up, brushes himself off, and scolds them for not doing this from the start. You want tragic deaths? Liveman was full of them! With the exception of Guildos, ALL the villain deaths were handled sympathetically. Even Professor Bias, the Big Bad, was given a sympathetic death scene! Best series of the 80s IMO

If you mean, "what's the story?", RPM is essentially Power Rangers vs. The Robot Apocalypse. It's very well written, very well acted, and I highly recommend it.
The first sentai I saw in my life was Liveman. I had like 10 years old if remember well. Watching the murder of Mari and Takuji in the first episode of the series was kinda traumatic. I never saw something like that on television, at least not in a kids show. Death is something not very well explained to kids at that age. Then I watched Liveman until the end and I loved every single episode.

Iron Man Tiger 7 dies off camera, alone, as his mechanical heart could only last for one year and he doesnt want his "friends" (who all thought he was a coward because they failed to realize he disappeared all the time because he WAS Tiger 7) wouldn't have to see him die. And Denjin Zaboga disobeys a direct command (first and only time it showed any self awareness) to retreat, because if the robot attacks the dragon monster it will self destruct taking Zaboga with it, and thats just what happens. To protect his creator's son and other humans, Zaboga sacrifices itself. And Fireman carries a giant bomb, mean to blow up planet Earth, back into space so when it explodes he is the only one to die (sotr of like the Kamen Riders did in Skyrider except they somehow survived it.)
