My personal head cannon (since the elders are canonically greedy) is that they send the next “chosen child” out to go “end Eden” in a way, if the child CAN (they never do) end Eden the light would be restored to all kingdoms forever, but all the elders put to much hype/pressure on the “chosen child” to go to Eden that when the child dies and joins the rest they forget about the child and choose the next one to rely on, but they never work and it’s in a endless cycle of sending kids to fail at Eden

And I've read about a theory that says when we die in eden, the shini boi we hug in the limbo is Alef, but i think it makes more sense that while we are giving winged light to the statues, we are actually saving other dead skykids. When we hug the shini boi we are hugging a winged light that another skykid left to us. Does it make sense for you or it's just me? 😅
I read somewhere that the player character consists of a shell of "Darkness" that contains "light" (a candle and our cloak, it doesn't even have a shadow since it's pure light). If you look closely, around the shining heart on the chest of a skykid, there is a barely noticeable diamond-shaped mark Which literally shows the "Light"in a shell of"Darkness" If we consider blue magic crystals as a representation of Darkness. This explains why we can only be harmed by beings that take away the light. In Eden, we lose our light, giving it to the red crystal, and only a shell of Darkness remains. The shiny boy that we hug is the representation of the prince's light that brings us back to life. This explains why we can be reborn rather than disappear like the beings who came before us and may have been made only of light.

ok so basically we exist because alef didn't rub his 2 braincells the only time he ever needed to, and he ended up accidentally nuking the world, leaving us to restore it ourselves. and he's technically our father too so we're also considered fatherless. am i understanding this correctly
When you buy the journey pack on Playstation it says "A traveler from across the sands of the desert" I really think it means Journey is actually another country on the exact same planet where Sky is

During Light Awaits TGC posted a map of the Sky Kingdom and it seems that most of the maps are already on the surface, Vault and Eden are right below Eden and the clouds while Valley, Prairie and Forest are around Eden, but there's an empty part of the Kingdom with nothing there
We need more sky lore to know what’s actually going on instead of just thinking “it’s just a game” first of all you need to know what’s actually going on inside the game and what it’s lore is about but we all still don’t know until we found this video, I am so glad I found this video because if I didn’t I would stay bored FOREVER, and hey I mean look at the bright side at least we know only a little bit of the sky community’s lore, I still need to know why we are here though and why they just randomly fell? it's speculation. IMHO we may be just beings of light more akin to mantas sent from Aurora, since we know that the Sky kids are a different species than the elders and have a kinship to light creatures
I made my oc (does this count as a head canon?) battle against resh and got the choice to be reborn as a sky kid with a damaged lightcore or stay a spirit and be dead. :)
If we count Aurora as canon(we might as well since she's part of the game even outside her events) the Sky kids are just light sent by Aurora not to stop the Eden's fall but to save the souls that died there, then dying and getting saved all over again by other skykids. Maybe Alef just lights your soul up again at the end, but I'm not sure.
Yeah, Aurora definitely is cannon, as It is likely that she is the Megabird itself, and yeah Alef does light you up, as it is greatly theorized that white spirit at the end of Eden who you hug is Alef!
Well it is hidden in the game, the fall of the elders is described during the aviary’s 4th quest, Resh is shown falling in the Ushering Stargazer, in the Prophecy quests It shows Resh completing the quests, and so much more
Resh/Alef Is the first the Sky kid, otherwise known as the Eden King/Eden Prince. It is believed all other sky kids, came to being after he was almost killed. He was the person responsible for making Eden (Before it became destroyed) made to be a paradise running on Dark Crystals, and causing the crystal to blow up, killing all of Sky’s inhabitants and making the Spirits
